August is a shit month. Nuda was stolen. Teuta is now broken. RJ is now frustrated due to this, and my brother died in a motorbike crash in 2009; 7th of August. The only person having an ok month that has a motorbike is Valentino Rossi on MotoGP.
+RoyalJordanian I feel you bro, things not going well here too; The carburettor on my Suzuki DRZ 400 clogged up, so after a week of no riding to work i disassemble clean it and when i went to reassemble i broke the plastic part that holds the diaphragm and jet needle :( looking at another two weeks off the bike.
You probably wouldn't be compensated here in the States for debris on the road (at least, nowhere I've been), only for maintenance issues like potholes, manhole covers, trench covers, stuff like that... and even then only if it had been previously reported. You'd probably have to go through insurance for debris damage.

Carbon fibre is strong but extremely brittle my friend so it cannot absorb impacts as well as metals. Just think of it this way RJ, instead of you getting hurt, the bikes are taking the damage for you. All the best my friend, ride safe.
I feel your pain, RJ. that happened to me except I was doing about a 100 at the time. I'd only had my new hugger on about a week or two and the nail destroyed it!

I never thought about if actually monetises or not. but there is a difference between monetising or not and turning ads off. so one might say there are ads on his channel but he doesn t monetise. since the default setting for ads is actually ON (but yes u can turn ads off if u want) yes people can and do use adblock and i am not going to judge that either. but what i can t live with is calling the ads stupid xD. youtube is a free service. they have to live somehow. I would love to see a 5 second mini ad that i can cancel infront of every movie and TV program i watch. 20 minutes of commercial out of 60 minutes broadcast is what would frustrate me more. and yeah i stopped watching "regular" TV years ago

I know this was last year, but last year I had 3 punctures - one rear bicycle wheel, the other two on my rear wheels of my car. The problem is people not being careful with screws and nails, and not disposing of old items. With rear punctures, I think the front tyre runs over the nail/screw, flipping it into an angle with the point aimed up. The rear tyre then runs over the nail/screw which then punctures that following tyre. I once found new screws dropped in the road by a careless DIY or tradesman. I found use for them saving me money and drivers from possible punctures.

happened to me on a stand up scooter, except i never knew it happened until i got out of the store, and my tire was flat. i had a 3 mile walk back home. i paid barely anything for it, and anger got the best of me, so over the bridge and into the river it went on my walk home.

I hear you RJ. Last Monday afternoon I had a sequence of 5 things that metophorically kicked my ass, one after the other between 2pm & 10pm. 1. I dropped a half litre tin of thinners based paint on the ground whilst doing touch ups on my freshly painted car. When the tin hit the ground, it sloshed out of the can & went up onto one door, a rim & the tyre. 2. Whilst cleaning the paint off I got a text from my phone network provider to say that there was a problem deducting funds from a newly aquired prepaid credit card. A card that THEY asked me to get! 3. A few minutes later I got another text, this time from my electricity provider reminding me that I had an overdue amount to pay...like I need to be fucking reminded! 4. Later that afternoon I realised there was an issue with my next wage payment. Had to go to their office next day to fix THIER mistake! 5. Lastly, I got banned from using buy 'n sell groups on facebook because I joined too many too quickly. I am 6 days into a 14 day ban. SERIOUSLY, it's a wonder nobody got murdered that day!!!
I found a whole box of screws spilled on the side of the road almost 50 took them home and used them to repair my gate. And saved many punctures. Always loads of nails and screws all over our roads my spare has a screw in it right now.

I plugged my tyre and than did another 6000 miles before I had to replace it. Even crossed the France, Andorra and Spain on a plugged rear tyre on a VFR800. All good.
i own a 2014 ninja 650 and had a flat from a screw. I just used your average tire repair kit and its been fine for the last 7 months. Im about to add air for the first time tomorrow.

The joys of riding the edge of roads, all the shit gets flicked into the gutters and non traffic areas. Sure it sucks but you rode through it.

I plugged my tyre and than did another 6000 miles before I had to replace it. Even crossed the France, Andorra and Spain on a plugged rear tyre on a VFR800. All good.
i own a 2014 ninja 650 and had a flat from a screw. I just used your average tire repair kit and its been fine for the last 7 months. Im about to add air for the first time tomorrow.
