I feel like it sculpts culture, rather than destroys it. Think about the relationship with Japan and the west. Americans have been influenced by Japan, (influx of anime, rickshaws, futons, ect.) But, it hasn't destroyed American culture. And even the other way around. America occupied Japan for a short while, but Japanese culture still stands. Japan has been greatly influenced by the west, but strong cultural beliefs aren't going anywhere.

@@BeepBeepRayya yeah in small pockets.. it would delute the culture. No one wants to travel the world just to see the same crap in every country.. You want them to mostly maintain their culture, you can't improve it but forcibly changing the racial dynamic of another culture isn't a good thing just for the sake of it. European countries are losing its identity with the huge influx of immigration... All countries need to preserve their culture, this whole one country, no borders people like to pander is horrible and forced immigration by the hundreds of thousands destroys and erodes culture for the dominate culture.

It is the configuration of how globalization is implemented in a society that dictates weather it has purely economical effects or social effects also. Shareholders of international corporations are only concerned about maximizing profits. Unfortunately, the social aspect, i.e McDonald’s offering unhealthy food is quite often not taken into consideration.

Lorsque vous vous rendez dans différents pays du monde, vous découvrez qu'ils se ressemblent de plus en plus. Dans le même temps, lorsque les gens voient cela se produire, ils réagissent souvent en essayant de dire "Attendez, qu'est-ce qui vaut vraiment la peine de s'accrocher ici ?". Et donc, cela peut conduire à une résurgence de certaines formes traditionnelles d'identité.
MAN 3 : Donc, la langue irlandaise s'est développée, a été enseignée dans des écoles privées en fait, dans la plus grande partie de cette partie de l'Irlande où les gens - où peut-être la langue avait été perdue depuis trois ou quatre générations - envoient leurs enfants pour être éduqués dans la langue irlandaise. La musique irlandaise, la danse traditionnelle - vous avez vu le phénomène Riverdance dans le monde entier - c'est la culture irlandaise.
HOMME 4 : En Irlande, nous avons en fait utilisé la mondialisation pour vendre notre culture dans le reste du monde. Vous avez donc de grands groupes de rock irlandais comme U2, vous avez évidemment Guinness et vous avez la culture, la poésie et les films irlandais et cela montre comment un petit pays peut utiliser la mondialisation avec un énorme succès.

The Irish have spread throughout the world but have never diluted their own unique culture.
They see that the Irish Brand can be a major selling point. That is why we find an Irish ☘️ pub in every major city in the world.
The point being made is that globalization causes a homogeneous society where, when you wake up in any country and go outside, you will find the same coffee shops and the same restaurants as most other places. The same goes for culture and customs, it’s easy for everyone to communicate in English as the global language. However, it is important that we retain our owns languages and dialects for future generations and that we market our own unique products, music and dance.

are you high ? im irish and even only over the last 20 years irish culture has become diluted, most people just see wales as "another part of britain" instead of as it's own place with it's own culture, the larger the group the lesser the culture. stop falling for this bullshit. also if you think random "irish pubs" in major city's in the world are the same as irish pubs you're on some good shite.
almost every british county has at least 5 forgotten cultures that aren't there anymore, wales had rock cannons, south korea has been heavily affected by western culture to the point their economy basically relies on it. get a grip.

I think it's all very subjective on what impacts globalization has on cultures. On one hand, it can enrich cultures by providing more access to materials, and generally giving people more options to embrace their background. On the other, it can deteriorate cultures by alienation, and make people forget.

No, you're wrong .. when we prioritize profit, then we place everything else to a lower value level and then our mental health suffers... We don't need things as much as we think we do .. what we need is community, acceptance, purpose, ...
This whole society built around things is creating a society of narcissists and psychopaths.
