  • If you want to train Muay Thai, CrossFit or just hit the gym to get in the best shape of your life, consider heading to Phuket Thailand to try out Fitness Street (Soi Ta-iad, Chalong). It's sometimes referred to as the best street in the world! It's such a great environment to get in shape with places to eat that make eating healthy easy. In this video, I cover what my experience has been like over the past couple of weeks, how much it costs and what to expect.

Been on fitness street twice now, each for 3 and 4 weeks. Alone as a woman, also drove to Phuekt Town, to the beaches etc. And always felt very safe 😊
Last time I stayed at 2home/sixpack cottage for 2 weeks and would NOT recommend it, if you can afford somehing else! First room (Sixpack Cottage) I stayed for one night, with a room towards the pool, through which a few ants came in when I made the mistake to leave some watermelon on the table. Very dark, but this room was actually the best of the three. Second room (Sixpack Cottage) was the same as yours - or they all look the same. It was on the ground floor. There was a big patch of mold at the bottom of the wall beneath the A/C. And the bathroom wasn't really cleaned (extremely dirty mirror and dirty appliances). But the mold was awful to me, I'm pretty sensitive to mold and get a weird feeling on the tongue and can't breath well. Everything in this room was damp, the bed and the pillow were damp and smelled like mold.
The next morning I went to the front desk and asked if I can change the room because of the mold. The lady was really nice, but said it wasn't mold (sorry, but it was!) and said they're fully booked (high seasion end of december). She gave me a febreeze air fragrance to put infront of the mold 😂 well this overpowered the smell, but of course the spores were still there as well as this feeling in my mouth and I had an awful night trying to sleep. I asked for a refund since this was affecting my health, but she said I would have to deal with booking since I booked there. Thankfully she was really trying to find a solution and they managed to come up with another room at 2home where I could move. It was in the building right next to T&Y Muay Thai up the stairs and a downgrade but at least without mold. But I had a pretty bad ant problem there 😂 and the WiFi was reaaalllly bad in the evening when the other guests were in their room 🙄 couldn't watch youtube or even scroll on instagram

Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds nasty. I agree that the wifi wasn’t the fastest 😅

I'm from the United States but After visiting Thailand I plan on moving to Phuket so I can eat, sleep, train, and fight full-time.

Mate,Phuket is very safe.I've been there 3 times and going back again this year.Don't be worried about going anywhere by yourself, especially touristy areas.
Just don't let people scam you and you'll be fine.
My plan is to train at Tiger and Rattachai too.
I might try to check out Sinbi and Eagle Muay Thai too if i can?

I agree that Phuket is safe. However, near the end of my trip, someone who was obviously a foreigner tried to pickpocket me near Rattachai 🤷‍♂️ A car honked and she got scared so nothing happened.

Yo this is awesome to watch man, I’ve been thinking about doing a month in Thailand as well.
Do you work remotely or plan staying in Phuket for the long term?

When i want to apply for an evisa, its asking for the flight confirmation and hotel booking, how safe is it to buy those before getting visa approval ?

Excellent video. Smart money says don't rent a scooter. There are way too many accidents. Scooters are the second worst thing in Thailand. What is the worst: Soi dogs.

Hey, it depends on where in Thailand you are, whether you're the undercard or the main, the stadium you fight at but this video by Muay Michael answers this question at 3:24 in this video (th-cam.com/video/XDpxS3SzNFg/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MuayMichael). From what I heard it's a couple thousand baht a fight if you're an amateur at the gym I'm training at in Phuket. Hope this helps!
