What. A. Trip. Thanks for taking us along 🙂 Becki's comment about the dunes: "A bucket list item I didn't know I had." Now THAT's the reason to go out and adventure!!
By far the best “Made for TH-cam” series I’ve ever seen. Heck, this tops almost everything you can see on the Travel Channel, Discovery, and every other network channel. Congrats Becki and Chris! Can’t wait to see what you do next.
Having the (audio) approach details as you're (visually) flying in on runway 21 (around 6:00 ) was icing on the cake! Helps reinforce the lingo and its meanings as i'm watching. Great series!!
669th! Wow you's guys! What a surreal phantasmagoria of beauty! On any level! Thank you so much for the happiness that comes with watching your story! Merci beaucoup!
Thank you both for my favourite ever TH-cam series. I loved the connections with friends and places that you made on the trip. Looking forward to your next adventures.
Again, you got to experience the part of the country where I grew up and learned to fly. I spent most of my free time in the mountains, both on the ground and in the air. Bucket list, for sure!
This was absolutely f&%king amazing and beautiful. Thank you both for letting us to fly and travel with you. I’ll cry Sunday for there will be no new episode of Heading West. Can’t wait your new journeys!
Thanks for this genuine close up to what this adventure was to you guys. Your storytelling style and production value of this series has been excellent and very refreshing. We need that!! Becki I’m inspired by your determination to conquer your fears, great job! Can’t wait to see what is next. No pressure but you guys set the bar really high!! Hahaha. I found myself waiting for each episode every week and getting excited by it. Thanks.
INCREDIBLE series. Crazy to see how your channel has evolved over the years. The quality of content has always been incredibly high and it so awesome to see everything you all have learned as filmmakers come together in these series. Absolutely fantastic job!
Thank you for everything. Taking the time to make the series. The courage to both get our of your comfort zone. It's inspiring and entertaining all at the same time. Cheers!
Wow, what a great video to wrap up Heading West. The storytelling was soo good, and the choice of music for all episodes felt really good as well. I can't wait to catch the next video or podcast ( DVD extras) when it's out. But for now, I have to give major props to Becki and Chris for all the hard work and planning they've put into making this series. 🚁
Good lesson about calling ahead for the FBOs. Some but not all might not have space to sacrifice for a helicopter to park overnight. Most have a pad or can provide wheels to move the helicopter. Good things to ask in the phone call🤙
Huge respect for Becky! (And Chris for Flying ofcourse😜) This series looks like it could be netflix, and the amazing Thing is that it's filmed planned and edited by one person 🤯 Amazing work!! Can't wait to see Whiskey Zulu back in the Air soon!
Such an amazing series guys! In my previous job I worked as an aerial survey pilot based out of Oregon and we worked in every area that you guys visited during this trip. Definitely makes me miss flying down through the mountains, desert, and coastal areas. I even have a good handful of flight hours in that very same little grey Tecnam Chris is standing in front of at 8:48! Congrats on making it all the way down to Torrence and excited to see whats next for the heli when you get it back!
Just love you guys, you’ve taken me on journeys I’ll never get to myself, it’s been a great escape from the daily challenges, thank you 🙏, stay safe, cheers, Victor
just an observation Chris: at the fuel island in Bishop CA you connected the ground lead alligator clamp to the exhaust pipe prior to and while fueling, this is generally an incorrect practice because you risk initiating the propagation of dissimilar metal corrosion of your exhaust, which eventually will result in a series of visible holes at the exhaust stack termination. I recommend connecting the alligator clamp ground lead to a part of the Airframe (say a cadmium plated nut on the skid or cross tube) as it is less susceptible to galvanic corrosion unlike your difficult and expensive to replace exhaust system
Thank you for the excellent adventure. KTOA is where I picked up my SLING 2, a little over 5 years ago and flew it back to NY. It was nice to see the Sling Academy planes on the ramp. The academy didn’t exist back then. In addition to A/C will you be doing any other avionics upgrades? Some Glass maybe? Thanks again for this series and glad you had a safe trip. And remember, time to spare, go by air.
This was... bigger than great. You guys checked all the boxes visually, and the editing/story progression was wonderful. Adventure, honesty, story, production, emotion, humor... all checked. Great job.
I have been left speechless by this series. Thank you for letting myself and others share this magical experience with you and i cant wait to see the next chapter of this channel 😊
Such a great way to finish the series! I think that the places you’ve been and people you meet in person after knowing them for years over the internet is what makes it worth it. Knowing there are other people that share the same passion as you on the internet and you get the meet them is so cool! Thank you for the last 6 weeks of this film guys!
Y’all ended this on such a perfect note. Great mix of emotions, storytelling, and visuals. Also that tease at the end for the next series!! Amazing work. ❤
This final goodbye was epic. Cant wait to see the you guys go pick up the heli again. I felt like I was part of your journey from start to finish. Huge kudos to the amazing teamwork by the both of you.
That was a superb series to watch. And whats more, that was "Proper Telly" to sit down and watch. Surly some big TV or Streaming company will spot your talent and give you a commission of some sort? I doubt anything would drag Chris away from his day job though.
I cannot believe it’s been 5 years!! Seen when y’all had it and now this!? And honestly I’m proud of you both! Thank you for showing us this and wey beautifully done too!
Awesome video! Cuts, music and story - a real pleasure to watch. Reg. R66: Becky might have experienced a “heavy” R66 which copes well with turbulence. Now a light 66 is very different! You won’t like that🙈 What you can do though: get the AUX fuel tank or always take a proper camping equipment along😉
What an adventure, and what epic filmmaking! Absolutely fantastic content, amazing work. Thanks for letting us share the ride with you. If it were me, I would ignore the cost, and have them rebuild your helicopter with every option you desire and make the machine of your dreams. Costs are soon forgotten while experiences are long remembered.
This has been an absolute blast to watch. I just wrapped up my heli CFII last Thursday. Great timing. Also, I’ve been listening to Kaskade for two decades now. I had no idea Naomi was a very accomplished commercial helicopter pilot. That’s so freaking cool! What a bad ass!
So happy to see you guys do this.. really enjoyed it. BUT remember Becki, it is NOT, YOUR, ANXIETY.. Just something you deal with like a bad car sales guy. Just let it go. It doesn't belong to you. But I get you! Love you guys!
Like Becki said, I can’t believe the series is over. But like with many things in life, it’s okay to be sad when something is over, but be happy that it happened. As I’ve mentioned before, each series gets better and better. The cinematography and storytelling is something out of Hollywood with a team of two producers. How insane is that? Thank you both for inspiring me and the other viewers with your adventures. N-300WZ - see you later bud ✌🏽
No words really! You guys KILLED this series! I live my life through you guys in the aviation community, Trent Palmer is amazing as well! Please continue your adventures for those of us who can’t! Love watching you guys!
Great series! Julian pies are amazing. There are a few places in town (San Diego) that get them delivered almost daily but it’s always best to go to the source.
Wow, what a series. Congratulations, Atlanta and Trent Palmer were my favorite parts. Oh, wait, those sand dunes!!! Nice job on the camera work. Kind of amazed you didn't need a gyro or gimbal on the camera. Thanks, thanks thanks!
What an incredible journey you took us all on! You literally made me emotional over you guys (two people I don't know) taking your helicopter to have maintenance work done! But you did it so damn well by the story telling and visuals of your journey! Thanks you guys, can't wait for y'all to get it back!
Loved this series! I have flown into Wise many times, live near Cape Girardeau, and have friends who live in Oceanside. We have also had pie in Julian. My dad was a helicopter pilot. I explained Becki's reaction to the long, bumpy rides to wife by saying, "It's like taking a long road trip on gravel roads in a Jeep." She said, "Ohhhhhhh." 😀
Hats off to you for your bravery and drive! I've flown planes a lot and helicopters a few times. Helicopter flight is by far the scariest for me. Thanks for sharing your journey and letting us experience some of your awesome trip!
What a fantastic series documenting an amazingly unique experience. Congrats on completing this challenging adventure and thanks for sharing it so well. Most of us could never dream of doing something like this and you’ve enabled us to experience it vicariously through your lens and production. Please save your sheckles in order to invest in the impact resistant windscreen!
Congrats on a successful journey, stupendous series, and thanks as always for bringing us along! Visually stunning, masterfully edited, and wonderfully executed…on to more adventures! 📸😎
LOL there's a couple of little things that chris wants to get fixed...you know..like getting becky's door fixed. Yeah..I'd say thats pretty important chris haha
This series was beautiful! To see how a community can come together to support y’all’s journey is something special! Loved every second of it and so happy and proud of you both for accomplishing this milestone. Can’t wait to see what y’all have coming next. 😮💨🫶🏾
This entire series filled me with so much joy.. Thank you for sharing the journey with us! Becki, you're an absolute creative legend. Chris, keep on flying high!
Omg… thank you! My thoughts are tumbling, tears are streaming. Your entire adventure showed me places I know so well the entire trail but that I could never have imagined from the sky. ❤️ …okay what’s next. No rush just curious
Thank you! It was a very special and memorable trip! Got a few things we wanna do in 2024, we have a short film in the works and a little outdoor vlog series for later winter spring!
This was an very exciting episode. The whole series was beautiful to watch. Excellent filming and the editing is really amazing. Love it 😍 Becki did a really great job. 😊 Thank you for sharing. ❤ Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
that's how you do a travel series! Liked before watching because I was sure it would be worth it. Congrats on the trip, on the experiences and all the memories you got from it. that's what makes it worth while. Onto the next!
I love your reactions to the eastern Sierra! You flew over the headwaters of the Los Angeles Aqueduct (long valley) and followed the aqueduct for a while It was dug out in the late 1800's and was critical to the expansion of Los Angeles! 230 miles, all gravity fed!!
Such a cool wrap-up to your journey West!! Thanks for the shoutout and carving out some time to hang with me and my fam. 🚁❤
It was so good to spend time with y’all, hopefully we can do it again when we pick it up on the other end!
What. A. Trip. Thanks for taking us along 🙂
Becki's comment about the dunes: "A bucket list item I didn't know I had." Now THAT's the reason to go out and adventure!!
Heck yeah!! One for the books for sure, worth some of the uncomfortable feelings 😂
By far the best “Made for TH-cam” series I’ve ever seen. Heck, this tops almost everything you can see on the Travel Channel, Discovery, and every other network channel. Congrats Becki and Chris! Can’t wait to see what you do next.
Me and Ashley discussed this and would to request a bonus blooper episode. Please and thank you. Your friendly handlers of the Millennial Falcon…
Hahaha that’s a fantastic idea, I should do a little compilation 😂
Yessss to a bloopers bonus episode!!! Haha
Ashley and I discussed this..." NOT "Me and Ashley discussed this..."
Having the (audio) approach details as you're (visually) flying in on runway 21 (around 6:00 ) was icing on the cake! Helps reinforce the lingo and its meanings as i'm watching. Great series!!

Thanks for working so hard on this series guys, it has been a pleasure hanging out every Sunday.
Really appreciate you taking the time out of your Sunday’s to hang with us!
Again, you got to experience the part of the country where I grew up and learned to fly. I spent most of my free time in the mountains, both on the ground and in the air. Bucket list, for sure!
The colour grading and all the shots are so beautifully pieced together. I enjoyed watching every second of this :) Thank you Becki & Chris!!!
This was absolutely f&%king amazing and beautiful. Thank you both for letting us to fly and travel with you. I’ll cry Sunday for there will be no new episode of Heading West. Can’t wait your new journeys!

Incredible & rewarding adventure! I found myself a little emotional right there with you guys. Epic coverage!
This is one of the BEST, if not THE BEST aviation vids Ive seen on TH-cam. Great to see Trent Palmer's cameo....... Keep the vids coming!!!
So cool, I loved this series 🙏🏻
What an awesome series and something to look forward to on Sundays. We are going to miss that helicopter and you guys.
Thanks much! More videos to come from us, but no heli content until she’s finished 😭
This was an amazing series, well documented and overall very entertaining. Thank you!

This is such a unique and well made series. Loved every minute of it, looking forward to the next one.
Fantastic series! Really well done. Your R-44 will be just like new when you get it back from the factory.
Great great series, loved every minute of it!
I love your reactions to the eastern Sierra! You flew over the headwaters of the Los Angeles Aqueduct (long valley) and followed the aqueduct for a while It was dug out in the late 1800's and was critical to the expansion of Los Angeles! 230 miles, all gravity fed!!
3:52 is Owens (dry) lake! This used to be a HUGE lake but Los Angeles dried it up in only 10 years!
Brilliant! ❤
