- World War 2 history short film shot over 2022/23. Spitfire Captain Roger Ellery of the RAF is shot down over N*zi occupied Belgium. He must try to navigate his way home and evade capture from the Waffen SS N*zi troop unit that are stalking him. Ellery’s journey takes him to dark places he never imagined he’d find himself in. But he must get home. He makes his way through the Ardennes forest, as the Nazis pursue him, using their mg42 machine gun and MP40 guns to try to take him down. This film is a historical piece of entertainment and is in no way political. It is our intention to make thought provoking content that reflects on the mistakes of the past.

In real life if people would act like that then there's still hope for the human race I knew a ww2 American soldier and he was wounded the Germans caught him he was on the ground the German commanding officer ordered him killed the German that was suppose to kill him winked his eye at him and stucked the bayonet beside him on the ground and the American played dead he was a good German he didn't want to kill the American my friend the American soldier always prayed for that man that he survived the war I'll give everything I own to find him he use to say
All germans weren't nazis, most of them were good men in a terrible situation. But there were good german soldiers out there that were honorable. R.I.P to all soldiers lost on all sides🕊❤️🕊❤️🕊❤️
"Nazis" are Hollywood fiction. NSDAP Germany was a more prosperous place than we live in today and in reality, German soldiers were no different than any others.

Much attention to detail. The mg42 machine gun and sturmgevehr 44 sount exactly right. Uniforms look authentic. Im up late cant sleep but short films dont have to commit to hours watching them. Keep it up.

It was our first time doing any SFX but it was a lot of fun, we’d love to do more of it! Where are you guys based? Collaborating would be great, but we’re all stuck on this massive island called Australia, so it makes it hard 😂

Great short film the whole of the story was very well done and grounded to the era, I felt the look and style matched pretty close to what one would pictures WW2 on the german side at that time to be. The ending scene seemed to be a different tone than the rest but overall it was a well done engaging short film.

@@ethiopiandonny3363 we were hinting that it may have been another downed British pilots equipment pack, but then when you see that it’s the Germans, perhaps he stole it off another British pilot, or it’s a trophy from the retreat at Dunkirk. We will never know..
My Great Uncle was in WWII. I never heard him speak of anything good. I pray he saw something positive.

I think ya'll need to hire someone to make the special effects but this is a good short film with good acting and historical value with some of the best camera work I've seen compared to other ww2 short films, very cinematic

this actually blew me away, the cinematography is amazing, it actually has a thought out story, and the acting isn't half bad at all, the only thing I didn't love was the music, didn't really fit the movie, but otherwise amazing. Its legit a lot better then most WW2 short films on TH-cam, most of them don't really have a story or gripping script or characters, its just a bunch of dudes out in the woods shooting Germans and that's about it. This is really refreshing to see. keep at it, if you keep improving at the rate you are your going places.

We really wanted to try something different to everything else we’d seen on TH-cam regarding the WW2 short film genre. That’s why we went for a very pretty, saturated colour profile, and music that was more 80s inspired, as the films timeline technically never goes past 1988 😂 so we wanted to keep the music to that time point. But we really love hearing everyone’s subjective input as it helps us shape our future projects 👌🙂

Fantastic movie, which puts in perspective the ruthlessness of WW2. Shows how people, divided because of some powerful guys, have understanding for each other and despite all the suffer still seek for friendship and peace. Sadly, we still didn't fully distance ourselves from this time. In Ukraine is now repeating the same, soldiers kill each other knowing that they'll bring tears and pain for so much people. But they're forced, forced because Putin doesn't want democracy to expand and Zelensky wants to join NATO or whatever else - because of someone else's interests. The hierarchy is still there, it won't disappear. As George Orwell described it, hierarchy never disappeared it just changed its names throughout the history. Before it was a king, now it's a president. As if there's any difference. Exactly because of those self interest maniacs we're slowly marching towards WW3.

Did yall ask for a Reenactment group to help as some of the German actors? Very nice video. Well done and it had a nice story to it. I would suggest using a filter on your ww2 videos in the future. A more dull appearance may address the mood more effectively.
Hey mate. Thanks for watching. Yeah we used members of a 17th Kompanie SS reenactment group. And thanks for bringing up the filter, it was a conscious stylistic choice to have the colours as vibrant as possible. We wanted to portray it as a ‘spring’ film, and have the juxtaposition of the beauty of the location, with the horrors that were unfolding. We definitely thought long and hard about the colours of the film, and really appreciate the feedback. The next one we do will have a more somber look 👌😊

The WW 1 & 2 German Luftwaffe Pilots were known for their Chivalry and Honor. During WW2 there were many instances where German Fighter Pilots assisted Allied Airmen, both in the air and on the ground. If this RAF Pilot had been captured by the Waffen SS, his fate would most certainly have been much different.

Great Story! You should do a corporation work with paralightwork (germans) They have years of experience and are currently creating very realistic short films. + they have access to a lot of old good looking uniforms.

Man at least it was realistic on how they would probably just suck at evasion survival and super bacic counter tracking anyone with any SERE knowledge wouldn't make these mistakes.
One thing to improve on is recoil. Only thing that was sorta bad was the recoil. Just watch a few vids and you will be good.

First thing you do when being chased is wear a yellow vest🤣🤣🤣🤣,the MG42 sounded like a sewing machine and the bloke with the binos looked like he escaped from the loony bin🤣🤣🤣 sam did a great job for his little part and it wasn't a bad attempt, I love the gold coast bully that was faded as fuk for the 1980s 🤣🤣🤣, you guys will get better as you go and I wish you luck for the future.

@@Badvirtueproductions 1 why make the chase scean but not keep clothing contenuity his clothes should have been dirty -1 good acting untill the end of the chase +1 hes smart +1 but the exicution is dull-1 the nazis should roll in groups or make groups bigger becuase of continuity love the hold out but hes so clean he should have been dirty in the shot why does it look like he walked fresh out the shower room and with blowdryed hair 5 as im watching this im writing this cuz its cool and i like these but you guys should have torn up the clothes for the shoots cuz it doesnt make sense he looks like fresh goku every time he enters frame the seriousness is lost kinda there finally some dirt on the face at the water drinking sceane lol and barely tattered up suit you dont seriously make this exchange where the nazi hold him up and the american kills him right... there has to be mutual honor...... good... cowardice i like that deep feelings (clothes still pull me out of the scean)love the feeling of the old guy but who is he...the nazi came back... became a better human i like it its awesome just wish it wasnt a nazi cuz fuck them but overall looks great wish it was a bit more serious on the concepts of bullets hitting a dirt mound the suit should have been dirtied to much nazi gets to be humanized in the mix and the actors who shot the guns didnt jostle correctly someone should have said something but overall i give this a well done steak out of raw meat in monster hunter metrics its okay style wise brings back memorise of old freddiew videos but the actors could deffinatly group up and do more and i hope they do more and try other things like back rooms scp files skits like aimbot and rockket jump it looks like a prommising new addition to youtube hope you guys go far

@@Samsstuff10 i agreee just not continuity and that would have gave this some umph also watch the miners mountain a award winning short all the way through and you can show them this as well but either way they nmissed que and i have to call it out its great but slow and more dramatic then lends for the ww1 ww2 sceans im a died in the womb ww1 ww2 action fan this wasnt it cheif how do you get actors with guns in there hands and they should it like they are holding a walmart cap gun not acurate
Excellent film. Kudos to all involved. I did have two issues though. I really don't think the RAF pilot would stumble around the forest wearing a bright yellow life jacket. Way to easy to spot and should have ditched it immediately. Second, I saw no rank on his uniform only his pilot's wings.
BOYS..!!!! Come one. I like the idea of this video.. BUT.. nobody would walk in enemy country with this highly visible parachute gear...and white socks..

And.. NO German pilot would use a british water bottle, this type of jacket with RAF-Goggles...(except A. Galland and his B3 US-jacket)
Come on..there are enough WW2 collectors out there, to loan you the REAL equipment...
Just make contact at those endless militaria fairs..
Lots of countries hve this amount of collectors and parts..

Hey mate, thanks so much for the advice and also for watching. Not making excuses here but we did the best we could with our budget (which was nothing 😂) and we’re really proud of what we were able to accomplish with those constraints. This was our first attempt at a WW2 short film, we’ve taken everyone’s constructive criticism and we will definitely continue to improve in all areas moving forward.
