Steam locomotive GMAM Garratt gallops from Deepdale to Donnybrook

- Between 1954 and 1958, the South African Railways placed 120 Class GMA Garratt articulated steam locomotives with a 4-8-2+2-8-4 Double Mountain type wheel arrangement in service. All the locomotives could be configured as either a Class GMA branch line or a Class GMAM mainline engine. This was the most numerous Garratt class in the world.
Just love those GMAM Garratts. Watched them climb up Outeniqua pass as child. Good memories of good old days when everything was 100% functional.v

We in Sri Lanka had Bayer Garrett's too they had a 2-6-2 +2-6-2 wheel arrangement and weighted in at 125 tons hauled trains up 1in 44 incline super machine's they were, I like this video of your ' s nice to hear the the beat of the locomotive.
