There isn't many videos and information on the xl7 07-09 Looking forward for more videos and this vehicle especially on how to use some of the features it have it's a bit confusing sometime Thanks dude🙌
@@c.a.j a lot of it is based on general motors. If there is one with the factory radio, whether it be the standard or the navigation system, the standard is just your normal black tie series radio from General Motors and the navigation head unit is the same navigation unit from the GMC Acadia or Buick enclave for one of them of the era.
@@c.a.j I am not sure how to remove the radio, I’m guessing that plastic face plate that goes around the climate controls, and then there is another face plate that either surrounds or as part of the radio I am not sure, will have to be removed. As for hooking it up properly, you’ll need one of those general motors, wiring, harness adapters since the chime, and what not comes through the radio like on a Chevy pick up of the era. Something I did to give it the modern functionality without having to go that route, though, I purchased one of those android auto/Apple CarPlay support that mounts on the top of your dashboard. The XL seven has a relatively flat piece on the dashboard that you can mount one of those screens with a dash mount. I also have this Bluetooth adapter, I think it’s called like joy room or something like that, it’s available on Amazon for like $18, and it has adhesive that will adhere to the side of your radio panel, has dual microphone, so supports noise, canceling for phone calls, and such, and actually uses Bluetooth 5.3.
@colbywalsh4610 thanks for helping man it's my first car my late father had it I drive it now at 17 I don't know much about it because there isn't many information about it idk why. the older gen xl7 for example is much more known compared to this one
Love your car videos. We were talking about cars last night at church. Pastor is looking for a new one. I’m the only one who has watched
