You skipped the best part of you journey - Vilnius.. A small stroll through such a magnificent town as Vilnius is so disappointing.. Come back just for Vilnius, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you for your comment kewlele! And ofcourse I know that it was an insanely short moment of Vilnius I shared in this video. Though the purpose of this video was to reproduce my travel through the Baltics I made back in 2010, in just a weekend! Then I stayed 3 days in Vilnius and even that was too short! But it felt good to be back, even it was just for 3 hours!
The term 'Baltic states' is misleading indeed. Russia's/USSR's occupation is probably to blame here. Lithuania and Latvia both speak a Baltic language, are genetically closest to each other but are culturally somewhat different from each other. Lithuania's culture is based heavily in Catholicism and Latvia's culture is a mix of Lutheranism and Catholicism. Estonia is Baltic only in the same sense as Finland and Sweden - location on the shores of the Baltic sea. Estonia is a Finnic nation closely related to Finland. The cultures of Estonia and Finland are based on the same Finnic roots and Lutheranism with small pockets of Orthodox believers in the most eastern parts of both countries. So yeah, two Finnic and two Baltic countries would be a more accurate way to define this region, not three 'Baltic states'.
ik heb weer een hoop mooie plaatsjes gezien dankje voor het delen maat

@@carleryk I think people generally prefer names that sound nice, rather than names that are accurate! 😉
