    Customer service went above and beyond. I mentioned on their discord that I’m missing a thumb and index finger on my left hand and was looking for a way to bring the latching radio feature to a different button. Made a ticket for me and within a week, sent me a personalized firmware update for my wheel that allowed me to use the feature with my right thumb.

    Really cool to see such deep simhub integration and some really forward thinking functionality on a wheel that has it's own style. Clearly Soelpec just wanted to build their dream wheel and it paid off.

    Jeez, Will cost me a lot of money with this review! It has replaced my CSX-3 which I found a little small and toy-like for my old arthritic hands. The amazing thing about this wheel is that it could have been made by Apple...It just works! The LED rev lights change for each car model in iRacing and everything is ready to roll on first use. I'm going to have to change some stickers as they are a bit F1 orientated but it's a fabulous wheel and Will's review did it for me.

    Switched to the Spectra from FX Pro (which is a great wheel btw, but the handles were a bit flimsy + no simhub support). Had it for about 3 months now and can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a high end wheel. Also great to see frequent software updates to keep pace with the new cars coming to various sims (like p2p cooldown integration and such). Great wheel, great features, great support.

    Coming back to this video after watching it a few days ago. Scrolling through the comments I'm still seeing a lot of them saying something along the line of "this is great but it's too expensive" so I thought I'd give my two cents on it. Personally I love when Will showcases these crazy products like this even thought the prices are way out of my budget by a long shot. However, what it does, is give us a glimpse of what the future holds as these technologies and features will eventually trickle down into affordable consumer products. These videos are like a window into our future! Also I'm probably just going to show up in Will's basement one of these days unannounced and try all this stuff anyways lol. I hope to snap a photo of his reaction when he realizes some crazy person got into his basement and is bouncing around on his 17 degrees of freedom motion sim!

    Hi Will, I want to suggest something that you did long time ago.
    We are now in an era where we have a lot of many high-end, mid-tier, and low-budget tier steering wheels. Can you post a new comparison video for each tier. That would be very appreciated to know the difference and use cases for each wheel (advantages/disadvantages) for each tier. We have many many wheels (formula/GT/Drift/Rally, etc ...).
    For example, high-end >> (GSI, Ascher Racing Artura, Soelpec, Bavarian Simtec, cube control). Mid-tier >> (Simagic, logitech, Fanatec). Low-budget >> (Moza, Thrustmaster).
    Thank you!

    For 2k I'd expect better grip material. I dont know what the material is however some of the rubbers used for grip eventually fail.
    I had a Nikon dslr I bought brand new once. After using it for a while i set it aside for a few years. Went back to it and the grip rubber had kinda broken down somehow.
    It was the first I'd heard of it.
    Rubber doesnt scream premium but the wheel looks really nice anyways!

    • @tj_el_jefe8541
      @tj_el_jefe8541 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you get the podium hub you can use this wheel. You can also look around the internet to find solutions to the podium hub for a better price and immediate availability. But you would need something to tell the DD1/DD2 to unleash full torque. Just search TH-cam for solutions on fitting aftermarket wheels to Fanatec ecosystem and they will be able to explain the process better than I can in a comment section.

      I don't see the cable ever getting in the way or hitting your legs, but I am curious if the wireless lag is *truly* ever noticeable...

    Are you just assuming that everyone already knows that this wheel is only for SimuCube bases? Since you make no mention of it at least in the first 15 minutes of the video.

      @ from what I can find the hyper P1 was released in December 2022, first information I can find about the spectra XR is February 2023. And preorder information for the spectra started in June 2023.
