The police were chasing him for years and could never catch him out. There’s a lot more to his story that he got upto than he told hear but he ain’t stupid and has no need to tell. Proper staunch and old school, he used to scare the life out of supposedly top villains by just being in the same pub, never threw his weight around or bullied people. My best mate and SIDS nephew died in 99 and he was just the same had an aura and him and sid was tight
@stuart1173 interesting mate, my dad was a very good friend of sid, he died in 1999 in France with a few others after getting caught on a big run, won't say names but my surnames a giveaway lol
One of the best interviews yet, I'm sure Sid has got a boat load more to tell. Get him on again James and use that knack of yours. I'm buying the book.
Loving the podcasts James, they’re keeping me in good company travelling from Preston to Heysham the last few weeks with work. Particularly enjoyed this one! Look forward to many more!
Amazing guest, fantastic podcast, what a gripping film this would be. Nice to see he's got out of criminality and he can live out the rest out his day's peacefully. Off to purchase the book!!
Your guests just keep getting better James, great interview. I've now got visions of you after trying to talk Sid into one last drop in Brazil with you as Co pilot 🤣
Really great interview, I'm going to buy his book, and will subscribe, great podcast. I suggest you invite John Gilligan, the Irish monster on, that would be FANTASTIC
Yes Sid! ❤ James you’ve interview, Stephen Mee, Tony Argent & Sid now..All top fellas that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting throughout this journey we know as life. Big up Lisa Mafia too! 👍
Great interview. I really ike his talking points about the best men, are the men that are hard on themselves, critical of themselves, and put a lot press on themselves to succeed/win and yet never cruel and empathetic to others...This guy is the truth...
A lot of these interviews I watch end in me questioning some of the inaccuracies but this guy is bang on facts, even down to the pilot shop in Victoria
I worked in the Swag Club in 1986 for a couple of years. Sid was our boss and very fair. He is right. There was never any trouble in there. We had a great time working there. Didn’t feel like work.
I ran the door there for Nigel Whistler and Toni Pierson with Dave Wilson as joint Head Doorma, I had a ‘ tear up ‘ of sorts with SIDS brother Billy Sid turned up but as We knew eachother it was sorted out and agreed that Billy was a pain 🤣 Sid came in with ‘ the Boys ‘ he had raced down there with promising Me they would be as good as Gold Sid enjoyed himself So much that night he bought The Swag Club that week from Nigel and Toni
Sid ! was always an interesting character. I remember the day he arrived at our junior school his family moved down from Hackney. "We used to sing build a bonfire put the teachers on the top* on the last day of term. I forget what Sid set alight at the school but He took it literally. Always a scrapper at senior school, there was him and another lad always seemed to have a scrap every other day at school. Their would be a massive circle of kids watching and the amazing thing about Sid was that for how small and lithe he was he never seemed to get beaten. He was a good footballer, in the school team and I will never forget when he tackled our egotistical PE teacher, the teacher actually squared up to Sid and Sid being Sid he fought back. He was a bright lad and in most of the top sets at Senior school. I would count him as a good friend at Senior School but as we grew older he chose his path and I went in a totally different direction.
He was schooled by the old school "Dirty" Den Watts East End royalty. The thing i liked about Nick having drank with him years back in the Old Vic was he wasn't intimidated by the notorious east end villains the Mitchell Brothers i think that lack of fear was instilled from an early age by his mother Dot.
You can use the satellite a gps connects to for data about location from any individual gps product, it’s the same for locating passenger aircraft when their transponder is faulty. It’s not enough to switch off your gps. The satellites store data about location of gps gadgets. ✌️❤️🇬🇧
And probably think he's drunk and fool of shit.. then you find out that old bloke in the pub is James fucking bond and has lived a life that should be made into a film... Some boy and one of the last of the oldschool
Guy sounds like a proper old skool grafter and you can tell he's been thru the system and came out the other end proper on it clued up to the Max and used that knowledge well 💯💯💯😉
@@JamesEnglish You are more than welcome. It’s been great watching you grow your channel over the years. It must take it out of ya! Keep it up young man ❤️💯
Funnily enough Sid was one of the few people that they steered clear off, Sid Wingman was John Moody a very good boxer , he also had an army of associates Tucker / Tate an Rolfe were Not in the same league as Sid by any measure at all The truth about who shot them and why will all be revealed in February in a shocking x3 part documentary Sky The result of a x3 year investigation by Ex Scotland Yard detectives, it’s likely some Essex Police officers will end up in court on Serious charges because of it Whomes and Steele had nothing to do with it at all The were killed because Tony Tucker ripped off his partners in an armoured Van robbery x4 years before, they got caught and he kept that cash refusing to pay them their share. Know you know the truth Pats car site was a mile or two from were Sid lives 😉😎
Airport in Kent but can't say no more as they're still using it but then gets carried away a couple of times later. Also wonder how many he dropped over the lake.
@@JamesEnglish very well come '' keep em commin '' not only that ''the bond you had ' the questions ' was class and more importantly your guess I felt '' seemed relaxed '' brilliant
Loved this content. Re talk on Bitcoin. James, I am guessing you were talking in Dollars and Sidney in Pounds (maybe why the numbers differed). Actual highs (dependent on Exchange) were $68.5K and £50.5K 😀👍
I’ve been mates with Sid’s nephews and known the family for 25 years. Sid is the real deal, great fella and good family
I'm surprised he mentioned that he still had a good amount of money
from the smuggling , but he's a "gem", great podcast and I wish him well

James lad can you see if you can get Nick Cotton on the show? An absolute East End menace for years
He was schooled by the old school "Dirty" Den Watts East End royalty.
The thing i liked about Nick having drank with him years back in the Old Vic was he wasn't intimidated by the notorious east end villains the Mitchell Brothers i think that lack of fear was instilled from an early age by his mother Dot.
Maa' wouldn't like her nick on this type of show.

The Last Hour of the Podcast did sound very similar to that of the Essex Boy's Case!
Funnily enough Sid was one of the few people that they steered clear off, Sid Wingman was John Moody a very good boxer , he also had an army of associates
Tucker / Tate an Rolfe were Not in the same league as Sid by any measure at all
The truth about who shot them and why will all be revealed in February in a shocking x3 part documentary Sky
