You are thunking of the 1/4-20 threaded bosses on the camera. The threaded boss on the battery is much smaller diameter. I’ve found out since making this video, it’s to secure the solar panel wire with some sort of cable clamp and small screw
If you buy the V2 solar panel it comes with a piece that screws into the screw hole to secure the connection from the solar panel wire into the battery pack.
I had same issue. They require 5V 5A minimum charger. I couldnt find one. Most are only 2.4A or 3A. I plug the cord into wall outlet with the built in USB port. Charged right up

The threaded hole on battery is a 1/4-20 thread and it's intended purpose is for mounting.

Yes! Thank you!
The newer Tactacam solar panels come with a screw on the cord to put in the thread hole so nothing can pull the cord out of the plug in
Thank you and thanks for watching!
just bought 4, none will show all 3 green lights, only 2. using usb that came with it. put it on a tester and shows 7.4 volts. so whats up?
Did you charge it overnight? If so, there may be a problem with the battery and you should contact Tactacam.

@ yeah, they take time to charge up when they are low
Great video
Does the new V2 batt pack work with the HME Battery solar box ??
Yes, however, I am not positive if the HME panel will charge the Tactacam Lithium
@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors Ok only one way to find out! lol
Thanks again for all your help
@@carlo_scarpino I’ve been happy with the HME boxes. I’ve got 12 of them
How many amp hours? It's incredible they leave out most important info! Like getting mortgage and not asking interest rate!
