I tried one in 1999 it felt plush... Back then I had a y-22, just before that a proflex 856 which was my first full suspension bike.
I recently had the chance to ride a well preserved Y-bike, they were terrible 😂

That's Hope O2 brake system (open system 2 piston). Got them fitted on my 1997 super V SL

I recently picked up a lefty super v that I put drop bars on for a full sus monster gravel bike build.
For some reason it's common on the FB groups to put Jekyll swing arms on these bikes for rebuilds. Only reason I can think of is the OEM swing arm has chain rub with a 30t chainring and 42t cassette. At least mine does anyway.

got the same for my girlfriend, same team blue, but with spring shock on the rear. Ergotec peripherals, 1x9 11-46 XTR+LX. Issues with headshock is the 1.56" stem: it's so hard to find a shorter one
