Filipinos are not afraid of the Hybrid tech. It's the price and infrastructure that's pushing back the tech in the country. Given it charges when stepping on the brake and acceleration, but questions is if you cam fully charge the battery given the current traffic situation. Also, stop/start tech technology causes more wear in the engine
Well we are in a developing country. Besides, the developed countries got to push EVs and/or hybrid by providing the infrastructure and incentivizing purchase with these type of vehicle
To GEELY Philippines, bring the high-end model of this car here with the same “exact” Bose speakers, rims, and other specs in China if you are serious in wanting to make this visible in Metro Manila roads. Overwhelm the buyers to erase their doubt on Chinese cars. Invest!
For anyone who's into cars equipped with lithium batteries, no matter which maker, always make sure that the lithium battery has adequate ACTIVE cooling. Remember, we are in a tropical country and the last thing you would think about after owning a car is another battery being cooked at the backside while being parked or under operation during hot summer sun. Research and be informed before buying, not the other way around.
The presenter got it wrong: mild hybrids don’t actually turn off the engine to run on the electric motors alone because the motors are too weak to considerably accelerate the car on their own. In fact the engines are always on and they typically only turn off when in stop. The electric motors are primarily assistive in nature to give more additional power to the car, and those additional power does not sip fuel. FULL hybrids like Toyota’s hybrids are the ones that actually shut off their respective engines WHILE MOVING to save on fuel and the engines will only kick in once the battery is almost depleted (depending on your settings) OR the vehicle hits beyond 50 kph.
Hybrid cars are not EVs, they still run on gasoline engines with help from its electronic parts to save fuel or to help add performance. It is continually charged by its own gasoline engine like how a car's battery is continually charged on a normal car when the engine is running, so it never really runs out of battery.
They removed the Bose speakers and subs, memory seats, and back adjustable front passenger seats as well as adaptive cruise control .... disappointing !

Curious to know the consistency traffic consumption of this since its a mild hybrid . If it gets more than 10km its ok. Then the Only problem would be the space on the 2nd row. Sad to say masikip compared to rx5 or tiaggo8. But im impress 4wd but nobody yet know how it performs little offroad
