I Remember When Drawing Our Histories 2023

In a presentation co-sponsored by Massachusetts Women's Caucus for Art, Ashburnham artist Joanne Stowell talks about her paintings and how they relate to the experience of being a mother, along with other series that explore personal histories. Stowell exhibited a selection of her work at the Fitchburg Historical Society, and led this inspiring and accessible talk there, as well. The talk was supported in part by the Fitchburg Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. This program is an episode of the Fitchburg Historical Society's "I Remember When" series, created by Executive Director Susan Navarre and first broadcast on Fitchburg Access TV in 2023.
