Dye sublimation requires sublimation paper, you can use our DyeTrans Multi-Purpose or TexPrint-R. It also can use Reveal-S Sublimation to Cotton Film. We do not sell cutters so we have no knowledge of them.
Time and temp are available under the product description on our website. The wood would be coated for sublimation. The spray is our Pro Spray, a temporary adhesive developed for sublimation.
The SG400 Virtuoso comes with a cloud based Corel type software called Creative Studio, usually we would recommend CorelDRAW. Also good is PhotoShop, and PhotoShop Elements.
i will be using this for 3d phone cases. what would your personal recommendation be as far as paper? We are sorry, but 3D printers are systems that use their own film, they would not use any paper or product that we sell. The film is a plasticky substance that wraps around the item and adheres to it. As far as we know, you directly print to the film. We do not know anything about another suppliers requirements for their products as we do not sell or support products we do not sell or have any experience with. You would not want us to do so. Please consult the people who sold you the equipment, they would know best.
We have two divisions in our company: Sublimation and Heat Transfer. Heat transfer paper is generally all about shirts - using any ink and special papers. Sublimation can be printed on shirts and coated mugs or other items, using sublimation ink and paper.
The ink cost is the same as the SubliJet-R inks, there are small 40ml versions and 68ml versions, so please check out conde.com. The ink cost per square colored inch is one penny or so..
There is a sublimation to cotton film you can try. It's in first generation development and will not do photos well, but it's great for spot colors and logos. We give away 10 sheets with each SG 400 or SG 800 printer we sell.

You must not install the inks that come with it, instead buy dye sublimation ink for it. We sell the cartridges. The Sawgrass SG 400 is almost the exact same printer, but the duplexer has been removed - that's a piece on back that allows the paper to flip over for two sided printing, which is not needed for sublimation. The SG 400 is only sold as a package, with sublimation ink, sublimation paper and Cloud based Corel like software called Creative Studio. Both print 8.5" wide, up to 14" long. so on the photo of the family they have all white shirts so does this printer print ink in white? What if you need white text over a black cotton Tee?
You would print black on the white tee and let the white parts shine through. No white ink, sorry.
I think it only works on polyester

We should have a limited amount of each model by the end of January. The majority of the stock will arrive in April.

The Swgrass Virtuosos SG 800 with the optional bypass tray. it will print 13" x 21" which is great for tees.

I want to purchase this for T shirts, but may want to go into mugs in the future. Can I go from T shirt job 1 then go to job 2 to mug?
Sure. You would need a flat press for the shirts and a mug press or oven wraps and an oven for the mugs.

Will this printer work with Chromablast ink?
So far ChromaBlast has not been created for this printer but Sawgrass will probably do so eventually.
