    I've been airbrushing my bodies for about 2 years now, and do great with all kinds of paint even candies as long as it's Spazstix,but when it comes to Flourescents I've never had the best of luck , what is the best way to airbrush Flourescents? I've got a Pro-Line Jeep Rubicon body for my Summit and it's a discontinued body so I dont wanna screw it up,and since all of my paints are Faskolor, Pro-Line, Wicked,and Spazstix I'll either be using Faskolor Flourescent Yellow Or the Pro-Line Flourescent Yellow. Any advice will be much appreciated.

    To everyone that's probably going to use the clear from Rust-Oleum, it works very well, if and only if you use RC lexan PS before you use the Rust-Oleum paint. The way you are see the clear used here in the video will work here it has something to bond with. Great video keep up the good work 👍🏻🔥😎🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Use Liquid Mask! you lay dark colours first, then move lighter.

    • @MikesAirbrush
      @MikesAirbrush  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you dont have to use liquid mask. and you also dont have to do dark colors first.... Tape is alot easier to work with and laying brighter colors first opens up the doors for effects.

    • @neallewis1
      @neallewis1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MikesAirbrush you don't have to do anything... but results are way better with LM. try it.

    • @MikesAirbrush
      @MikesAirbrush  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@neallewis1 "better" according to who? There is no way that a different type of masking would make the design "better" Its your personal preference what you use. Here I use tape as its an instructional video. Tape is easier to work with, easy to get, and wouldnt you know masking tape works great for masking. 🤷‍♂️ You can do it your way and you can post your own video about it and we can see the "better" results. Liquid mask also has its limits and is alot harder to work with by far than masking tape. So coming and just saying "Use Liquid Mask!" doesnt help anyone and does not produce "better" results. Most of the top RC painters I see use masking tape cut on a plotter and rarely use liquid mask. "better" 🤦‍♂️

      I use airbrushes of all kinds and brands. Probably what I had handy. Side not you can use whatever airbrush you want to apply the colors it really wont matter much.

    Thanks Mike, I have been looking for video’s of people using Creatix paint on RC car bodies. The hobby shops have been telling me Creatix and Wicked paint won’t work. But Pro Line has come out with their own water based paints for painting RC car bodies. So if their water based paints work, why wouldn’t Creatix and Wicked work just as well. ✌🏼

    Maybe leave the window mask in until you do the clear so they stay clear.

    • @MikesAirbrush
      @MikesAirbrush  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      they do stay clear. I clear over them to seal all the edges of the paint inside for when guys wipe and spray them off during cleaning.

    • @beanie4497

      Use a nitro blocker instead of the clear coat, the clear is not made for lexan, and after time and crashes will start to flake off. Nice paint job though.

    Great video thanks for the tips two small things though number one that music I had to fast forward past it it's terrible it repeats after like 15 seconds and the beat of it reminds me of a Nintendo game or something.
    Number two you're saying opaque wrong
    It's not "O-pack" think of it like "O-cake" but with a "p" O-pake, except it's spelled opaque with an uppercase A sound.
    Thanks for sharing
