I bought an airbrush, paint and all supporting equipment about 5 years ago and never used it. I just found your channel today and you have inspired me. Your deep and all inclusive explanations of how you paint makes me excited to paint some bodies. Thank you so much for these videos. You are an excellent teacher.
I just loved driving RCs until I saw your videos. Now I have a kit to build and my airbrush set on the way from Amazon. You inspired me to paint. Great job!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and the work you do, you make it look so easy. I'm getting ready to do my first airbrushed RC body muscle car, old school flames with a little new are a must. Looking forward to learning more from you. Thanks again.
Thank you, this was what i was looking for, most videos tell you to go dark to light, so i was looking for a video to showcase how it would work in reverse, and you did that, so thanks again, and keep it up.
I’ve just lost 1/2 my day watching you! Thankyou for the tips, I will be placing an order very soon 👍🏼 my subscribers will at least have a giggle watching me balls it up 🤣
Wow so glad I found you! I was always the artsy type in my earlier days. Always wanted to get into airbrushing. And now I am getting heavy into rc and rc racing with my son! Perfect timing!!! Time to learn the RIGHT way to paint these bodies! Subbed and looking forward to all your other vids! God bless!!!
Hi mate , I’m pretty new to all this and in no way anywhere near in your league of ability , but you’ve given me a lot inspiration and tutorials like this actually make me want to do it even more , thanks bud 👍
Wowwwww! Amazing! I watched maybe your first video. One other. I made some stencils of my own and tried with some spray paint. And it seemed confusing. This video totally brought it all together!! Thank you!
Beautiful work brother I truly enjoyed watching you in action. I’m just getting started looking forward. To seeing many more of your airbrushing videos. They are very inspiring thanks again brother keep up the good work.
Nice work! Laid my RC hobby and Iwata brush down to make room for career and family a good number of years ago. Semi retired now, been doing some drawing and wood burning to get the eye hand back. Can't wait to try painting "backwards" on a lexan body. Bought one yesterday to fit my Traxxas Summit. Thanks to your efforts, my passion is alive and well.
You painted an HPI Savage XL body for me and a Silverado body for a friend of mine about a year ago. I have to say it was well worth the money. I usually use the body for pictures because it seems wrong to scratch or destroy a work of art, which is what it is in my opinion. Im gonna try to flow your tutorials and try my hand at it. I can only hope it turns out half as nice as my XL.
Nice work brother I painted cars for years at my uncle,s dealership alway,s wanted to learn air brushing I've bin doing pretty good so far until I seen your work WOW fantastic I'm going to learn your flame technic amazing I'm going to do a C8 Corvett I hope it comes out like your work an then put it on my limitless R.C thanks brother .Steve from beautiful B.C
That looks absolutely stunning! I'm looking to get into airbrushing Lexan bodies and just discovered your channel. I've already learned a lot from this video alone. Subbed! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
After using so many i can tell you the Badger it the best for the buck. Iwata is to delicate and the tips and very thin. The Badger has very durable parts. After almost 2 years of use i have not had to replace any parts yet. But i am using 4 of them which cuts down on the wear.
I’ve used you stencils in the past and still use them to this day... it’s been a while since your last video I hope to see more of them.... I’m always wanting to learn new tricks.
Love the work!!! Been watching for some time now, glad to see you back in action!!! Can’t wait for the next vid. I used your technique for my trx 4 Chevy body for glow in the dark flames, me ....not so good, but the practice was fun and awesome! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I would have liked to seen a bit of a close up of the finished product but I still look to your carbon fiber video.
AWESOME..... thank you so much for the tips cant wait to try it.... keep um coming .... Ill be ordering a set and a few other stuff from you Thanks again big fan..... “stay safe and ALOHA.... 💯🤙🏽
Great job. Is it difficult to learn how to use an Air Brush? Such a great tutorial. I like how you use a heat gun to speed up the process. Thanks for sharing. Awesome 👍
The depth of your instructions is awesome, very detailed in what you’re using and why! The how you’re using your stencils. Very good work and instructions! I’ve shared a few of your videos with my son! He’s been trying to pick up airbrushing and been practicing! Thank you for your help. Can you let us know what sealer you are using?
you made the flames look so easy to do i want to do flames but have been way to scared to try seeing how you have done them i have a better understanding on how to i will be giving them a try now will have to get a flame stencil set now to and some reducer to
How do you get the flame edges to come out more sharp and clean like on the chrome flame arrma felony? I’m guessing less freehand near the edges? I also imagined there was some black sprayed in between the layers of those flames. I like how it’s metallic flames, was that a silver that was used on the flame felony or did you use white? Also you said chrome so I’m Guessing the backing was chrome? And possible black backing on the chrome? So that’s why I’m asking if you used black when you stenciled the flames bcs the first backing was chromed out, am I right? I love that chrome flame felony you did.
Years of practice and know where the licks will land and how they will look as i pick my spots to lay them. Has to be learned. Sharp edges with a stencil yes, very hard to do free hand. Depends on the flame look you want, and the direction of the flames you want to go in.
@@skinjobs1237 .... Thanks for the reply, I spend 100 hrs watching NEW createx tutorials & dusted off my iwata & suit case of crusty createx colors from 2006 lmao.. some dried out but MOST of them are just thickened. DUDE.... $300 worth of new createx products, dang man...Now Im comparing reducers, sealers, balancers, bleed checkers.... Now its a matter of which additive is more versatile bcs the bleed checker and the clear base balancer are ALMOST alike... the only difference is that the bleed checker is a little bit flexible/rubbery and has less adhesion than the clear base balancer which is a little more harder when it dries and stick better. The Autoborn sealer is the strongest but ts not as clear, its a little foggy once dried.
If your body is clean before you start to paint adhesion should not be a problem with most candies. And I use spaz stix or inspire candies and i never reduce them. They are ready to spray right out the bottle. They dont run, and they both dry fast almost seconds after spraying.
@@skinjobs1237 Thanks for the quick reply. Any chance you could do a video explaining in more detail laying out the flames? I'm having trouble getting them to look real and may not understand the proper way to use the templates..
@@timothyshaner8926 flames take time more than anything. a little is a lot. try small mounts first until you start to see the shapes better. watch a lot of videos and keep laying them.
Great video. So I have a graphtek vinyl cutter. I’m guessing I could just feed Mylar sheets through that to fabricate stencils? Be it a horse, flames etc. i have never seen the flame stencils before. I love the jobs you done with red flames on black. Just amazing.
I know this is an old video, but I'm curious how you are getting such a wide spray pattern out of your brush. I'm a novice with my brush at best, but I for sure can't get that big of a spray pattern when backing with black. Than in advance, Whiz.
So, question…. If you were to back with silver after the sealer what would the end product look like ? Also what would you recommend as “practice” material ? I’m new to the air brush so I’m going to be a sponge and soak any and all info up. Thanks !
