I live in south florida and have a bone stock 17 1LE. I’ve been stopped four times in one month for “Illegal exhaust”, cruising slow and shifting under 3k. Idk how you get away with it

You come to south Texas & everybody has these kinds of mods & never get shit for them. The only time they do is for the tinted windows but other than that...you're good 👍🏻

CRUZ_GT lol that’s what I was saying, I met a cop at a car meet with a straight piped gallardo spider, and his tint was so dark you couldn’t tell his seats had orange leather. Here in South Carolina as long as you don’t do anything deliberately stupid in front of cops to impress people at your local car meet you won’t get pulled over. People regularly do illegal mods without fear, we don’t have any inspections, and on top of that we have a Japanese importer with more illegal skylines than a small car dealership.

ILLEGAL CAR REVIEW GONE SEXUAL *NOT CLICKBAITE*your fine. my buddy drives a straight piped cammed nitrous Camaro and it chops harder and is louder than your mustang. *no hate* but you fine dude. nitrous isnt illegal, mostly depends on where you live, and the sound is fine also if its between your loud car and a dude bumping bass from his car he will get the sound violation not you.
I was driving my 06 GT at like 1 am and i noticed car lights behind me in the next lane over and I didn’t know if it was a cop or not but I just felt it in my gut that it was so I drove slow and when I got to a red light the cop in the next lane didn’t pull up next to me but stopped like 30 feet behind the line so I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was a cop or not and he was hoping that I would gun it when the light turned green and he’d pull me over. But I drove slow and he got frustrated that he wasn’t going to pull me over so he gunned it past me and I saw that it was a cop car. These tips are good but you have to listen to your gut too sometimes especially at night when you can’t see as clearly.

i don't know the laws in Cali but im fairly certain that nitrous and the cold air intake and the cams are perfectly legal and then you state that you haven't been pulled over for it being illegal but then you got a ticket for the license plate and the lights probably the only 2 things that a regular cop would check unless your car is insanely loud

Cant believe you still have not changed out that clunky 42 lb driveshaft for the 20 lb one-piece aluminium shaft! Less rotating mass puts the power to your rear wheels faster! Also no center carrier bearing to give out with the one piece.

My car has 700 hp I still have stock driveshaft, don't fix what ain't broken.
BigD Travels the main point is that the stock shaft is double the weight of a one piece aluminum one. With the aluminum one you have less rotating mass so you put the power to the wheels faster. A car with an aluminum shaft will run better 1/4 mile times than the same car with the stock shaft.

I posted the same thing. Floridas process for registration, is drivers license, bill of sale, and then they look at Vin. That's it, zero smog, zero inspection, just good to go. Hell I told the lady I was supercharged and highly modified, she's like sounds fun lol.
Unfortunately he's not in Florida. I'm at 703rwhp, nothing illegal, tint, exhaust, nada, hell I've hauled up behind a cop on accident, and nothing.

Your car has come a long way since day one but Its time to change out the stock throttle body and spacer and upgrade to a 62mm throttle body ,you finally went as far as to do cams and open your exhaust so it can breath, you have the JLT - CAI and Nitrous up front just to be choked down with that stock throttle body and spacer , you will feel a difference in throttle response and power through the rpm range to Redline - its a much needed change .
Yeah imma upgrade that soon for sure. I want ford racing so imma have to save up a little

I just bought a 02, she's registered in South Dakota, it's going to be fun getting that changed over. She's not as bad ass as yours but she's loud. Hurst shifter, Borla exhaust, lowered, red convertible. I'm up in Ramona we have cruzing main on Thursdays, & they were all over me. Pulled over by CHP for exhibition, but the sheriff he's got a hard on for me now, flipped out over the loudness. Now I got to hide from him as he said I better get it fixed. So I thank you so much for your tips it will definitely come in handy when I have to travel thru town. & again your pony is absolutely gorgeous!

In Minnesota almost everything done to your car is legal, the only thing that isn’t is that tint but 90% of law Enforcement here doesn’t care. My truck has 0.85% in the rear, 20% upfront and 35% on the WHOLE windshield. I haven’t been stopped ever and nether has my friends who run the same setup

If youre speeding, try and speed when another car is speeding. Stay about 2 car lengths behind him. I call that my guinea pig. Example: youre driving on the freeway, resisting the urge to speed. Sees a car speed past you, "we've got a guinea pig!" *slams on pedal*
91 Octane?? In australia that is the cheapest and worst petrol you can buy, my lawnmower runs 91 Octane. Cars from the early 90's here run 95, premium is 98. Get with the times USA.

It doesn't matter what the vehicle or build is. All you have to do is not drive like a self entitled douche and follow the laws. Be a real responsible, respectful driver and the law enforcement will not have reasons to look at you. But with majority, good sense and logic are nowhere to be seen.
Why not just install one of those Varex mufflers. Or a muffler that simply is controlled by a remote. When you're cruising the motor redirects the exhaust gas similar to that of a factory setup. Open the valve and it's straight through.
As some one that lives in Cali as far as I can see your car is not that “illegal”..... you can have a cai you could have a nitrous kit hooked up to your car at all times as long as your bottle is not hooked up to it tinted side markers are not a big deal your tints depending on the cops might give you shit but most cops have better things to do than give you a $25 fix a ticket you could tune your car won’t make any difference cause they can’t see it... only thing I would say is actually “illegal”is your exhaust cause you have no cat .. and maybe your cams but they can’t prove it if the just pull you over. You’ll be safe if they pull you over and if they take you to a state ref you’ll just put your cat back on and if they check for emissions they just check that your monitor are clear unless they put you on they dyno they won’t know about your cams
