I would love to see a video on the jacket construction. It helps me so much when I can refer to the video while I am sewing. I love the retro patterns so much and can’t wait to make this one. Thanks again for another great video and pattern! Linna
This was so well put together, thank you. Would love it if you created some vintage patterns for Silkstone Ken. I have the In-Game pattern, but would love a vintage shirt and short pattern for him!
What a nice surprise to have a video today. I like this pattern but for Gene or Grace. I think I like the two tone dress the best. Looking forward to more patterns. Stay well and safe. From Tennessee
Boy don’t I know about small variations! I’m jealous of your larger dolls to sew for. Mine are all either silverstone breast size or the made to move bodies. Armholes , sleeve hems and collars are a nightmare. Many a tiny piece of clothing has gone through the needle hole when the tension is off LOL! But I’ve learned more about sewing doll clothes than when making regular clothes. I love those storage cases from the dollar store! I use one to store my Barbie purse materials (chains, bullnose clips) and finished ones. I used another to store all the shoes. You didn’t show the back of the dress. I wanted to see how the back seam looks and if you can see her bum? That’s my current issue. Without a large opening, you can’t easily remove the dress. 🤔 The waist to hip ratio is a challenge too! Thanks for the demo.
This brings back such wonderful memories of learning to sew by making my Barbie dolls clothes! Of course, fabric was so cheap back then. For a dollar a yard, I made a little blouse for me as well as matching outfits for my Barbie dolls! My question is where do you find fabric with tiny prints on it like the one you made? Do you have special sources for tiny prints?
I sell fabric on my website, pick up special pieces when thrifting and have found some good buys on Etsy when looking for something specific. There are so few fabric stores nearby anymore.
Ma'am could you please share through video how you attached those fronts and backs of the skirts. You said you did it back of the camera. I am new to sewing and i am learnkng everything step by step. Please share how did you do it and post a video of it
Can you please do a tutorial that shows how to make princess elena's and isabel's day to remember dress . And isabel's every day blue dress with her hairband.
If you measure your doll, you can find similar patterns that might work for her. Etsy has a lot of patterns for the various size Barbies and they may have something for your Lammily doll.
I would purchase doll pattern for the Lammily doll. Can you please do a video tutorial how to draft pattern design to the Lammily doll. It’s the only doll I own.
I am intrigued by the fact that you do very little back stitching to secure ends. Is it because, as you assemble the garment, you cross over stitches in the seams and that secures them? I gave up backstitchung eons ago (because the tiny doll pieces got chewed up in the feed dog), but I've always cut the machine threads long, threaded them into a quilter's #10 size hand sewing needle and backstitched to secure the ends, knotted them, and had the ends "disappear" into the seam before cutting the thread.
I was having the same trouble with backstitching pulling the material into the feed dogs and creating bumps. I do use the tie-off method and have also found that using a smaller stitch length will prevent the seams from opening without the need to backstitch every seam.
I do have this pattern available as a PDF. It prints on 8 1/2 x 14 legal and A4 paper sizes. www.fletcherpatterncompany.com/sewing-patterns/13-revlon-fashion-royaty-silkstone/pdf-patterns/going-shopping-for-silkstone-barbie-pdf.html
I hope this is helpful information for the construction of this pattern design. Please post any questions.

Unfortunately, I only design and sew for dolls I own.

@@DesignsbyJude Thank you.
Hello Jude, amazing video, btw do you have patterns available for Fashion Royalty dolls or Poppy Parker? Thanks
I do have patterns for 12 & 16 Poppy and Integrity East 59th, FR2 and Fashion Royalty.
Hello. Thank you for the video! I'd like to know where you bought your small iron. :)
I have one and I got it from Amazon. Search for mini iron. I hope that helps.
I got it from my mom. There is a link in the description to a similar one on Amazon.
Where do you purchase your printed material for your garments?
I have found some good prints are JoAnn fabrics and often upcycle material from human clothing from consignment and thrift stores.
Hello miss, I can't buy the pdf since I'm in another country 😞
International buyers are welcome on the site.
@@DesignsbyJude I'm from the Philippines and I can't seem to click the buy button, also it's very expensive in my country 😅
