    I'm new here. Just a question. Does it need to be stretchy fabric when making a socks or stockings like that?

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Tights, trouser socks and nylons work great.

    I am loving the tutorials and cannot wait to put them into practise, I am in the UK, and have collected dolls for many years, even making a few Porcelain ones and dressing them, then I went to reborns, lol I watch you sew, and love your new machine, I notice it cuts the thread automatically, (at the press of a button), I was always taught that the pattern must be sewn from the same direction top to bottom, but note you do not, and still it works out beautifully. I have sent an email to your fletcher pattern company, as I have purchased a few patterns, paid via pay pal, and yet, I do not know how they will arrive, as I thought PDF meant they would go into my email account? any knowledge would be appreciated, cheers xxx

      I am a bit behind on replying to comments on TH-cam. I apologize for the delay in answering your question about downloading PDF patterns. As a registered user of the site you can always get the pdf from your account upon payment by logging in, selecting your account and then digital downloads from the drop down menu. Pattern links are automatically sent to your email, but they can end up in spam/junk folders. Thanks for your business.

    Thigh highs look great! Your machine is beautiful! What kind and how old if you don't mind my asking.

      My older machine is a Pfaff 130. It's about 70 years old.

    When I saw this video I love how you did this but it is very hard for me to make thigh high boots for a BJD doll

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never tried making boots before. Possibly a future project.

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the suggestion. I use a software program for the patterns. I think I have seen some other videos that are available for drawing pants.

    Excellent video. Now I have to get a pack of adult tights. LOL. Thanks Tamara. Have you every made a pair with nylons or support hose nylons for the girls?

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have made them out of nylons with some success. I think using a ball point needle works best to avoid running the fabric. Thanks for watching.

    Couldn't you just cut one pattern piece and just flip it over for the opposite side?
