This video is the solution for the following ERROR MESSAGE:
"You're not connected and the web just isn't the same without you. Let's get you back online. Check that your network cables are plugged in. Make sure you're not in airplane mode see if your wireless switch is turned on. Restart your router."
OR
"No internet. Try: checking the network cables, modem and router. Reconnecting to wifi. Running windows network diagnostics. err_internet_disconnected

Same with me, my cat walk across on my keyboard and accidentally put my computer on airplane mode, I been trying to fix it for 2 days, watch and follow lots of TH-cam videos on how to fix it , google lots of solutions and follow it, nothings work. Except this video, hit Fn and anthena key and it works!

The weather is bad here and I may work from home tomorrow due to snow. I brought my laptop home from work and it went to airplane mode and I could not get connected to my internet at home. Your video saved the day! The MISCONFIG worked for me. Thank you for making the video.

WOW it worked!! THANK YOU MIKE!! I was going crazy for 2 effing days!! Factory reset, reinstalled Windows, you have no idea how many tutorials I watched on TH-cam, and all this time it was Function Key + Antenna symbol. ❤❤ I am definitely subscribing.

@@MikeFixesThings would you know why I wouldn't be able to type anything on a brand new Acer I just bought? I was doing the whole set up thing with Cortana and I got thru first 2 questions by pressing YES (are you in USA? do u want English?) but then it asked for WIFI and the keyboard doesn't type my password. So I did the "limited set up" (skipping Wifi) and it asked what do you want your name to be on new PC and I tried to type and I still cannot type anything! I googled a bunch of TH-cam suggestions it says this & that, press Windows R, but I'm not even that far in the install to do that. Even that doesn't work since I'm still on the blue Cortana screen. I can't move forward without answering these questions. sooo frustrating. :(
Just one thing to say here Mike, thank you, thank you and thank you! My old but new Acer Aspire V5 has been locked in airplane mode for years, I've been wanting to use it as it's loaded with over 156GB of personal photos and videos from over half a decade ago, thought all was lost until I found this gem of a video and tried msconfig, boom, back online! Not only did it fix the airplane mode issue, but it also restored the audio of the pc as it was completely not working, and restored the ability to adjust the display settings as my eyes were burning out of my head with the intense screen brightness that could not be adjusted. Thank you so very much Mike. My laptop was stuck in airplane mode and I tried just about everything I could to resolve this issue, including contacting Microsoft but nothing worked. Adding to the problem was I had previously turned off the touchpad in settings because I always use a Bluetooth mouse, so I had no cursor. Finally I watched your video and followed your instructions. Using run, msconfig worked like a charm. You are my hero!

My Dell laptop has a really tiny switch on the left side next to the power cable port. I have really tried everything and finally found the switch. Thank you.

My man! I’ve tried about 70 different crazy extensive and confusing methods and after 3 weeks I finally was just about to call Dell and probably not be able to understand anything they say. Thank you 🙏 . I accidentally had mine on “selective startup” in an effort once to try and limit running an excess of apps, and had forgotten I’d done this….so, the fix of switching to normal startup worked!

@@MikeFixesThings fourth one . My problem was the airplane display button was freeze ( After searching they said it's a bug that mostly found in windows Plattform). So... according to that u just basically can't turn off or on the airplane mode....and yes no chance to connect to WiFi 😆

@@MikeFixesThings by sheer dumb luck I remembered there was a switch on the right side of the laptop that has the tower icon on it. It had been switched to on. So once I slide it back to the off position, airplane mode turned off! Thank you for your help!
