I have an idea of you’re living (of course I won’t say anything on here lol), you’re not too far from me. What I would suggest since you live in a high rise, leave your wagon in your car because sometimes you will end up taking spontaneous trips to H‑E‑B or Target lol. Anyways, you moved to right city because we Nigerians are huge here. No joke lol. The best time to go to the Galleria is in the morning when ever people are at work (God bless working from home lol). Trust me, you wouldn’t want to go there on the weekend or after 4 lol. If you need a tour guide you can hit me up. 😁 Welcome to H-Town my Naija sista 🤘🏾

I totally agree with the sink placement. It allows the island to be great alone. I prefer gas cooking as well….love the wine fridge, the fact that you have an ice machine on the fridge…. && ample storage space in the bathroom. I don’t like carpet, but I could deal with that little bit. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉. 🍾

@@brittanywashington407 if I had it to do all over again I would sell almost everything except valuables and personal items and just take what fit in my car. I did drive my car down here and was lucky to have a dear friend who got my stuff out of storage a few months later and moved it down for me. It still cost $2500! Thinking about it my items in storage weren’t worth all that. Or, if there are some things you MUST take, get a small Uhaul and pay for a friend to come with and help you. Buy them a flight home. It’s soooo much cheaper! Dallas is really nice! My in laws are in Fort Worth.
@@lisak603 I’m so scared to drive that’s going to my biggest obstacle 😭😂 like highways are just overwhelming So I have no choice but to fly 😂. Is rent super pricey there ? And thank you so much
@@brittanywashington407 totally understand your fears!! I was raised in a small town in Indiana and so afraid of highways. I just taught myself to rely on GPS and get familiar. I first lived in San Antonio and now work in Austin, and highway driving and GPS is a constant. You really do get used to it. Dallas you’ll see a lot of the same thing I’m afraid. Lots of highway driving! Hopefully you can get a friend to help you. My dad caravanned with me to my destination. I was lucky to have an old friend take me in for about 8 weeks. You won’t regret coming to Texas! Not sure about prices on rent in Dallas but it will probably be more than where you are in Indiana. I make more hourly in Austin vs San Antonio that’s why I made the change. I drive 50 min to work but it’s worth it.

The medical center is the highest concentration of research, education ,&biomedical tech in the world. It’s a very positive global city with a strong arts, museum, gallery and theatre scene. If you have every lived in Nigeria as I heard you say you are Nigerian then you won’t be a stranger to the heat and humidity. The upside of the humidity is supple skin forever!😂Do enjoy as you embark upon your new journey. They people are diverse, friendly and love great food and a good time. Please be safe because for all the good warm people there are also haters and bad apples. It will take time to get to know all the areas of town, but will be fun if you enjoy international food and culture. And the west African (especially Nigerian) community is strong in Houston so I hope you can find some familiar dishes in the southwest area of town. Making such a drastic change in life is never easy, but I hope in time you find your new life here to be fruitful and happy. Hi! I did use a moving company but wouldn’t recommend them to anybody honestly. My things got here, but I was charged way more than what was originally discussed. A couple things came damaged too so you’re most likely better off finding somebody else 😭

Welcome to Houston! You will find our city to be very welcoming but I agree with you about disclosing your building name. Please be safe because for all the good warm people there are also haters and bad apples. It will take time to get to know all the areas of town, but will be fun if you enjoy international food and culture. And the west African (especially Nigerian) community is strong in Houston so I hope you can find some familiar dishes in the southwest area of town. Making such a drastic change in life is never easy, but I hope in time you find your new life here to be fruitful and happy. Hi! I did use a moving company but wouldn’t recommend them to anybody honestly. My things got here, but I was charged way more than what was originally discussed. A couple things came damaged too so you’re most likely better off finding somebody else 😭
