I recently got a jacket and veil from Foxhound Bee Company and like it a lot. The suit is lightweight and ventilated the same way the other ones are, but it has some great features. The sleeves velcro shut instead of elastic, which wears out. It has a bunch of useful pockets on the front with meaningful uses, like one big enough for a queen cage, and one that is the size of a phone so you can put it in there, camera out, and record your work. It's also cut so you can leave it zipped and pull it on. I've only had it this season so far, so we'll see how it holds up.
Cute Beagle , we have always used the Dickies long sleeve khaki shirt with cuffs and leather gloves if needed. Bue jeans folding veil with straw bee hat. I suppose bee suits are necessary now with africanized honeybees seeping through into random apiaries
Going onto my 4th year with my UltraBreeze jacket. I keep bees probably 12 - 15 hours per week 5 months a year. Much less the remaining months. I have not needed to replace the veil yet. I have found that I need to lubricate the zipper a couple of times a year or after washing the suit. I do wish it has better pockets. I am very happy with the ventilation however I noticed that if I wait too long to clean the suit the ventilation reduces.
With you dadant partial vent do you wear long sleeve shirt under the jacket? My full vet sometimes I’m shirtless. I just bought your jacket but not sure if I will get stung through the canvas?
Try an OZ Armour best damm suit on market tough long lasting screens thumb and Velcro for wrist jackets come with 2 hoods round and reg zip face , smooth zippers . Wear mine daily everyday two years and going.

I’ll have to check those out. Not a big fan of the Velcro wrists.
Great video. First one I’ve watched comparing suits. Excellently done
Good to know! I’ll have to do more

I tried the dadant full vent, full brim jacket. I love it.
Awesome! My guys love theirs. I’d like to put that one up against the UB.

Awesome!
Nice. I have a Guardian suit that I really like
Nice! Guardian is on the list to try out
Nice camera has much better picture. Good job on the video 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video & review, thanks for that! How did the UB suit hold up after one year of use? Would you recommend it?
I don’t use it enough to give it a fair shake really. I don’t like how heavy it is.

Just a short sleeve shirt that’s all. Won’t stung through the fabric anywhere but the wrists where it’s tight.
@@beefarmerjake can you wear anything to eliminate the wrist stings?
Ultrabreeze has been good to me...good video
Thanks!
Good video.
Do you use anything to keep from getting ticks? I realize keeping grass short helps.
I don’t. I’ve never even had a tick get on me in our yards!
Nothing I hate more than a cheap, wonky zipper. Seems the Dadant zipper is good quality and tough and the loops on the zipper make it easier to zip.
100% agree
Thanks man!!
Thank you for watching!

I’ll check them out!
Does that beagle hunt or just worry squirrels?
Just a whole lot of sniffing. She’d hunt if I trained her. Never got into hunting with dogs.
