you should stretch the cloth much harder for it to bounce back instead of sinking in (on all sides, not only the two as it was done in the video). it will be faster and comfier when it is stretched correctly
The rug came out amazing!! I just bought punch needle supplies can’t wait to start my goal is to do a rug! But I am starting off with coasters❤❤ I love your channel!
A tip from Amy Oxford, inventor of the Oxford Punch Needles, about how to know if you have stretched your monk cloth tight enough: It should be as tight as a drum. To test it, drop a quarter from about 2-3 ft above, onto the surface of the Monk's Cloth and your coin should bounce back up like it's hitting a trampoline. When it is not quite tight enough, it makes your work much more difficult and the stitches less consistent. Check out her Amy Oxford's TH-cam channel for some amazing tips! I LOVE YOUR RUG SO MUCH!! 🥰💞💕 ~~Christy~~

Thank you for your video! Spotlight never have what we want specifically. lol! I would like to ask if you put glue on the back and cover it or you just left it as it is like CurrieGoat did, please? I can't wait to start punch needling! ❤
Where did you put the frame? If you lay it on the table then the needle will always punch against the table... Can you lay it on your lap when your in your bed for example?
Of course! I was sitting on my couch most of the time with the frame on my lap. To film the tutorial I put the frame on 2 elevated boxes, this works well too! :)

Yes I did. I just used wood glue that dries clear and some Calico fabric :) Good luck with your punch needling
@@AurelieMaronStudio hi! would you be able to give more information on this?
@@taylorrrobinson I just covered the back with wood glue using a brush and then put the fabric on it. Nothing fancy haha
@@AurelieMaronStudio thanks just wasn’t sure since i didn’t see in the video
Do you put glue on the back or anything?? How do you keep the whole thing from being pulled up and unraveled? Cat claws ?
Yes I put regular glue on the back :)
Nice project, do you use any glue or something to keep the thread, will it come out when you wash the rug?
Yes I do! I don't think I will wash it tbh 😆
Amazing rug 😍 how do you deal with punching through another loop accidentally? Do you cut them off? I haven’t decided what to do with mine yet
Thanks! I usually remove the thread and redo it ;)
this is so nice!
Thanks!
I love it. I got inspired right here. Did you apply glue to the back to secure the yarn?
Yes, just regular glue!
Pretty good 🌸
Thanks :)

All supplies are listed in the description! ✨

Hey! Do you mean a tutorial on how to create this type of lettering in Procreate? x
@@AurelieMaronStudio how to make it look embroidered! It’s a super cool effect. I love it xx
@@beccadiack6724 I have a full Textile Lettering Masterclass for Procreate. You can check it here: bit.ly/TextileMasterclass x
Looks great I think a white outline around the letters might help make it pop more
Beautiful! I never used yawn before. What size did you end up using ? Thanks
The smaller size :) Coloured yarn (I used 4 Seasons Marvel 8 Ply Yarn)
💓💓
So actually the side you are working on is the bottom side of the rug? 🤔 Great video, thanks! ❤️
That is correct :)
Do you add glue or backing after the windfall edging?
Yes I add PVA glue at the back at the end :)
Where did you put the frame? If you lay it on the table then the needle will always punch against the table... Can you lay it on your lap when your in your bed for example?

So amazing how long did this take ?! 😍
Thanks! Around 10 hours 😊
Wow, this is amazing, do you remember how much yarn did you use?
About 2 of the grey and one of the pink :)
@@AurelieMaronStudio thank you!
Did you add backing to it?
I just put glue! All the tools I used are listed in the description ✨

It’s much easier to finish with hot glue instead of sewing it
Why didn’t you shave it
There was no need to shave it because it's hand made
I hope the cats won't ruin it with their sharp nails😥
He didn't! :D
