Double good luck to you my son, the meat trade has had a rough ride for toooooo many years. I had 15yrs in the trade and the meat you had on show looks fantastic, lovely looking fat on the beef & and that’s where the flavour is.
Came on thurs , excellent quality and packaging . Had a pork tomahawk and half leg of lamb so far , fantastic. Will be ordering again when I get through the lot I bought
Im a local butchers sort of guy never and for over 30 years bought a single ounce of meat from a supermarket. Butchers all the way far better quality for only pence more, a lot of the supermarket bunch wouldn’t dream of eating something not pre packed, fortunately one quality I have passed on to my kids is butcher quality is worth it
@@Beejayizehave a look online for “Pasture For Life”, there are numerous other places, but this could be an interesting starting point for you to peruse.
@@Paul-Weston The leading supermarket’s drive the price, it’s the same with other Outlets and I’ve known to small businesses who’ve had to foreclose due to their business practices. I’m not saying all small businesses are necessarily cheaper, but you pay for what you get, most butcher’s usually source their wares from local farms. There’s no guarantee that’s the case with supermarkets. This has been an ongoing trend for as long as I can remember from the majority of outlets. Take a look at stainless steel, most of the crap we see today isn’t worth squat and is manufactured cheaply, poorly and imported to maximise profit over quantity, rather than quality.
I do enjoy beef but find that it varies so much . One silverside is tasty and tender the next ,not so much . Same with steak , one good , one not . I cook it the same way each time and it’s usually bought from the same place!
Not sure if you’ll see this …….i. Buy a lot of steaks from supermarkets as soon as I get home I take it out of its packaging and wrap it in grease proof paper then put it in the fridge for 3. 4. 5 days keep an 👁️ on it but the steaks dry out and this seems to improve the steak

I'm not made of money, and I buy some very nice meat from Aldi! I can't afford to shop at a butchers, which apparently costs only "pennies more." And the rest! Some of the prices he was quoting would feed me for weeks!
Sort your website out if you are going to sell online... geez its like people are still on dial up... as an ex butcher you are losing a fortune with that slow website. You need proper hosting so you do not lose money in this day and age. I have tried 5 times on the site and never got past the first page it locks up.
