I might be taking things to the extreme but I tend to look at the overall view of the petroglyphs and this particular one on a bolder at 2.49 into the video looks to me like maybe 5 thousand years ago someone attempted to make a head and face out of it. There is a place for a forehead and nose, lips not showing and chin & jaw and due to time they never completed it. I have noticed a on a lot of sites that there are similar oddities. I myself have dabbled into rock carving and started a smaller buffalo. Due to for what ever reasons it has set untouched for several years, if one looks carefully at it they can tell it was intended as a buffalo. I as well see a lot of petroglyphs that seem to have what I call ghost markings as well. What I mean there are older drawings in and around the newer ones. Just thought I would share my thoughts. Thank you for sharing with us. After watching more at 6.20 into the video this particular rock appears to have an eye at the right end and possibly an attempt at a mouth the overall lay and shape appears to be that someone wanted to portray it as a fish. Again many thanks.
Definitely interesting food for thought! I thought I recalled one of the interpretive signs saying something along the lines of not being 100% sure what all the rock carvings are trying to portray, so you could be correct?!
@@lovingtheviewwithrussandne7462 Thanks for the reply I recall stumbling upon some Indian grinding holes up in the Sequoia Park Ca. area and it was on a cliff edge I did mark a trail and about ten years later some one had discovered it and made another trail on downward several hundred feet and it was a bigger area such as living quarters it is an awesome feeling stumbling upon these. I have left more than one area I found unmarked that was near 20 year ago don't no if I will ever make it back or not at my age I doubt it have a good life thanks again for sharing.
