This video strikes me as anti-Boeing and pro Airbus. Funny how much attention is paid to the 737Max problems and never some of the airbus disasters. I can remember the AF 296 crash (first and early crash of Airbus A320 at an airshow in 1988), which seemed to be due to the fly by wire system. And then there was the AF Flight447 Atlantic crash and the AA 587 crash in Queens NY. These two crashes accounted for 488 people killed. All three accidents had elements of design faults, though Airbus was always quick to blame pilot error rather than admitting to design errors or mistakes in maintenance. Ryanair has an exemplary safety record and has a 737 only fleet of over 500 aircraft, now including many 737 Max's. Truth is that any aircraft can crash if pilots are not well trained and tested. Maintenance is also critical and not cutting corners with safety. Anyway both Airbus and Boeing are struggling to keep up with demand for more fuel efficient aircraft by the airlines. All these aircraft are wonders of design and technology and I happily fly in both types.
Yes, Boeing has done some mistakes with the the 737 MAX and the 787. But Boeing has paid a lot to get out of this trouble. And it will ! Boeing and Airbus make phantastic planes and we all need them ! Every day ! Times are getting better ! RELAX !
Tell this to the families who lost members of their families only because of poor safety standards, greed and inside corruption. If Boeing would care they wouldn't pay so much bonus money to the GM's who was responsible for the mess....
With decades of new product development, advanced material reinforcement, manufacturing, quality control, testing and forensic failure analysis engineering experience, I can turn Boeing around.
Booking flights, I am always double checking they are not operated on Boeing planes. Always booking on Embraer, Bombardier, and Airbus planes. Boeing definitely has to get control of its “quality issues” which they are far away from. Shareholder value, always only having the short term gain in sight, killed Boeing. Boiling proves, consumer confidence always beats shareholder value on the long run.
I don't want Garuda Indonesia will buy BOEING 737 MAX anymore because, on 2019 years ago Garuda Indonesia ground the one BOEING 737 MAX 8 and cancelling all of the BOEING 737 MAX 8. Then, the next 2022 years ago Garuda Indonesia bringin back BOEING 737 MAX 8 to lessor in Netherlands until this year of the 2024 and never see BOEING 737 MAX 8 for Garuda Indonesia forever and ever.
The 737 was designed in the early 1960s. It still uses a series of cables and pulleys for control, instead of fly-by-wire like modern aircraft. I only fly Airbus, and if enough passengers do the same, airlines will realize buying Boeing will hurt the bottom line.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a series of cables and pulleys working the flight control surfaces. Suggesting that this is a deficit to an aircraft's design and viability in modern aviation is ilinformed.
Boeing is still executing the “Bean-Counting” principle if we se its last 2 Stock Market sessions closing much higher , when all the news were Negatives, and speculation about China accepting receiving aircrafts. On the other hand AB has been on the loosing end of its shares on minimal news.
Thank you McNerney, Stonecipher, Calhoun and Board. Proud of themselves. Cause company destruction and waste more $ by outsourcing. Ou y sourcing also degrades the skills of the workforce.
"turned to competitors, such as airbus". There is only ONE competitor, which is Airbus. They cant satisfy the demand. I hope Embraer comes up with mid range planes.
Staff of Airbus and Boeing are not enemies. They work together in many fields and share safety-issues.
yep true
If it's Boeing im not going!
I still love Boeing (As well it’s rival Airbus)

I’d make sure you’re life insurance beneficiaries are up to date before hopping on a Boeing…

I'd make sure your life insurance beneficiaries are up to date before you step off the curb to cross the street..or worse yet...get in a car.

This is definitely the worst case scenario.
You got ta, know when to hold....... They are beautiful aircraft but should be designed and built by Aircraft Engineers, not Scribes.

BTW: Today Boeing has launched the first manned rocket to ISS. Together with NASA. Since years. And Boeing Defense is a running team !

Screw Boeing . I'm elated to live in SE Asia.., all airbus and dehavalland
Unfortunately Airbus could not take the load from Boeing, apparently they are balls out now.
735 aircrafts delivered in 2023: that's exactly 14.1 aircrafts per week.

They really don't need the range the 777x will cover that .
