- China has fiercely rejected accusations from Nato - whose leaders are meeting in Washington - that it's helping maintain Russia's war in Ukraine.
Beijing has described Nato's behaviour as "unreasonable", and urged nations to reflect on the "root causes" of the war.
The Nato gathering has mostly focused on support for Ukraine - but China's role has also come under the spotlight.
The military alliance said Beijing had become Russia's "decisive enabler", with its "large-scale support for Russia’s defense industrial base".
On Thursday, Nato will hold talks with the leaders of several Asia-Pacific countries about China.
Nato Secretary General Stoltenberg will hold a media briefing later in the day.

India still buys Russia crude oil and makes good money on petro-refineries as well as supplying the same to EU countries. The USA, who sanctions Russia the most, is still buying uranium from Russia. If NATO wants China to stop supporting Russia, then give them something much more valuable to replace the profits they get from the trade with Russia. China loves money, so it just matter of negotiating with them and coming up with some kind of deal that both can agree with . Of course it will cost some for the West, but if it makes the war end more quickly in Ukraine, then it is well worth it in my opinion. Making "strong worded statements will not make much difference to the situation, just more war with words.
