The '67s had vent windows, round turn signals in the grill, no center divider between the back up and taillights, and no side markers. If this isn't a 1968 Camaro, someone went through A LOT of trouble to make it look like one.

As a drag car I wouldn't be surprised. Especially the doors, even on the nova's they would swap to the ones without the vent window.

@@albertchavez2693 , Mine was a 69' but when it comes to the first generation, I used to read, and study everything I could find. I even went to the mall bookstore and bought the Camaro book.
Used to dream of them until I bought one. Sadly I no longer have it.
My friends called it "Baby" because I loved that car so much.

I own a car similar to this and it’s super fun to drive slow. You can blow the tires off whenever you want. Idle out and light them up and go back to an idle with out really killing the speed limit.

  • @andyfaber8044

Sweet ride. It would be tough to build that for only $30K. In my state (Mass), you could not get an inspection sticker for it (no blinkers, wipers, window washer) but I'm sure all that can be rigged up easy enough.

Here's an interesting fact about 1st gen Camaros with rear spoilers. if the stripes were painted on the trunk lip below the spoiler, it was dealer installed. If the stripes ended at the spoiler, it was factory installed. My 68 Z/28 had a factory installed spoiler, verified by the stripes ending on the spoiler and the build sheet.

You can also see the left side of the dash here it has the mounting hole for the dash pad which goes down the side of the dash, the 67 dash pad only sits on top of the dash.

Mainly YES. however you would want to check your local laws about the scoop. Remember it's a 68 those are the laws you would go by.

Hand signals should be performed thru the drivers side window... not out the pass side !

Why is it so cheap? Recently bought 496 Stroker, thought such classics with big engines would go for $60k+

I would bet closer to 391 or 411. Go back and look at the tach as he's going down that long straight on the 2 lane. Less than 3 grand. I had a 68 396 Camaro with 513 in it for my work car when I was 19-20 years old. Lots of street driving and cruising the Sonic in Northport AL. There might have even been a bunch of street racing on the Dam and Hwy 69 bridge. With 513s at that speed it would have been between 3200-3500.

@@davidkeeton6716 not with those pro street tires it has. it would be a dog with the gears we normally use. that car has some get up to it for a conventional headed street 454 so it might have AT LEAST a 4.56
