This Luigi kid I would say is “MORE OF A BLESSING” than a terrorist as what these mainstream media and maga politicians portrayed him to be! I see him with a halo 😇 rather than Thompson who possesses horns 😈…
Unfortunately sick people are fighting for their lives and don’t have the resources mentally or physically to sue. Insurance companies take advantage of people who are most vulnerable.
Insurance companies should have no say in what is medically necessary. That should only ever be up to the doctors. Insurance companies are killing so many people. 😢
The guidelines that insurance companies use to determine what is and what is not medically necessary comes from doctors. You could be seen by one doctor who thinks a given procedure is medically necessary, and then be seen by another doctor who thinks the opposite. Insurance companies are trying to limit unnecessary treatment. Not sure if you’re aware but not all doctors are angels. Many of them regularly push unnecessary treatment to make money. How else do you think they’re able to afford the lavish lifestyles they live? Both insurance companies and the medical field have their issues.
The last time my Father needed to go into the hospital for pneumonia because his immune system was being destroyed by chronic lymphatic leukemia, our local hospital refused to admit and treat him in the hospital because Medicare had already decided that anyone who wasn't running a fever ( he never did because his immune system wouldn't fight it off), he wasn't throwing up, and he wasn't choking to death, Medicare would not approve the hospitalization. His cancer Dr was under strict orders by the hospital not to admit him. He took his own life because he knew he was terminal and didn't want me to be forced to "pull the plug". This is the kind of Healthcare system we have in the US. It cares more about profits than it does about the patient. One of my Mother's heart Dr's was not happy with the payment he received from Medicare and Federal Emoloyee Blue Cross Blue Shield( my Father was retired from the FAA) and appealed for more money 3 times. When both refused to pay him anymore money, he handed her over to another doctor and never saw us again.
Medicare is government insurance….it’s not profit based and it gets taxpayer funding. Canada and European healthcare is exactly the same. They won’t pay for treatment of someone they think is a waste of time and money. If someone is far along with cancer…if someone is old and having a serious illness….if a child doesn’t have a high chance of living they won’t treat them…they will let them die naturally. They put cancer patients on waiting lists of a year or longer. Many people from those countries come to the US for treatment and surgery and other serious medical care because they can’t get it approved or quick enough in their own country. These people pay out of pocket to come to the US for treatment. Approvals and non-approvals happen in every country and no matter what kind of insurance or “free healthcare” there is there are many denials of treatments. And yes…it shouldn’t be happening….but don’t think this is just a US thing because it’s not.
Well United Healthcare is currently being investigated for fraud. They also have at least 50 class action lawsuits levied against them. Also CEO Brian Thompson and the CEO of United Health Group were both about to be indicted for insider trading.
Life saving measures are cost prohibitive … it’s cheaper if they don’t survive, the sooner it happens the more money the insurance companies save. Truth!
He's already been saving lives too. The anesthesia limit coverage didn't go through. Also hundreds are thanking him because many tests, sugeries and medicine claims are getting approved.
I was diagnosed stage 4 in July and have had similar problems with insurance. My heart goes out to everyone and their families dealing with this nightmare!
After what happened with the incident with that one CEO you would think the insurance companies would be more cautious on denying treatment. They are in business For the stAkeholders and nothing more.
@@MrMnmn911 you obviously don't realize treatment costs in the US are significantly more than anywhere else. You should so research on how much a pet scan is out of pocket in UK, Asia etc.
Insurance actually set the price of healthcare. They didn’t used to, but after lobbying in the 60s it was required that hospitals had to charge at minimum Medicare prices. Before this hospitals would negotiate with patients directly a fair cost to pay. So no one would buy insurance because why would you need to and so insurance found a way to set high prices so that people would have to buy it.
Congress need to pass a law if a certain number years pass and no injuries or illness come about a person should get refunded the insurance money they put into it. Same with auto insurance and home insurance!
Or, better yet, that peoples access to healthcare should not be gate kept by for-profit cooperations that provide no value to society other than to increase ROI for shareholders. The for-profit health insurance industry is completely superfluous, and economically inefficient.
If you think the incoming administration is going to do anything resembling helping people. You’ve got another thing coming. But you know someone has concepts of a plan.
"Congress needs to". That's quite funny. Congress is in the pocket of these insurance companies i.e. campaign contributions. Unless it's their family they don't care if you any of us live or die.
Because the people elected to represent us do not represent us at all. They and their family members seem to get richer and richer. We are taxed without representation. All our tax dollars go to other countries not to improve our families lives with healthcare, education, housing, etc. Something has to change. Universal healthcare would help. Free university schooling would help.Term limits would help. WE generate enough tax dollars to accomplish these services yet our government fails to use these dollars for OUR benefit. I guess they won't listen until it becomes a full scale revolution. I'll bet my entire $961.00 ss benefit that TH-cam deletes my comment.
And this is why America is outraged with insurance companies and not upset when somebody gets killed insurance companies are literally what's wrong with Healthcare in America Healthcare
A buddy of mine got the HIPAC surgery with stage 4 cancer. It was all over the inside of his body cavity, they had to scrape it off the sides. Had his gall bladder, part of stomach and intestines, his spleen and part of liver removed. He is alive 6 years later and scans have been clear every six months. He was strong and healthy going in but I’m amazed he’s alive. His surgery was done in Florida, at the time there weren’t many hospitals that did this surgery.
David Cordani, the CEO of Cigna, earned a total compensation of $21 million in 2023. This included a salary of $1.5 million and stock awards of nearly $12.7 million. But Cigna can’t afford $10-$15K to help save a person’s life? Now do you understand the corporate rage?
when people are dying and have nothing to their name while big corporate ceos climb the million dollar ladder THIS IS WRONG and people will start doing something about it because they’re sick of the health care system
I mean, who would think that a person who miraculously thankfully recovered from stage 4 breast cancer should get regular screening to make sure the cancer doesn’t come back? It’s gone right you don’t need to keep looking for it. This is why people hate insurance companies. It’s because of incidents like this where clearly this woman needs this type of care, but she was denied despite every oncologist in the world who would say yes she should be tested for the rest of her life to make sure this doesn’t come back. Or heaven forbid if it does, we want to catch it immediately. You would think the insurance company would want their patient to be as healthy as possible to live as long as possible, but it doesn’t seem that way.
They want their customers to die. That means they just collect our premiums and never have to pay anything for our health care. That's why they delay so much. Every month delayed is another monthly premium paid to them. And the longer care is delayed, the more likely it is that we'll die and therefore not need health care. That's their entire business model.
They want you to live has sick has possible since $500 a month for life brings more cash than a one time pay of 5-10k. And has short has possible so they get to ecxtract $10000 of you while not needing to pay that back. One less life to worry about is money that can be save for other manners.

The doctor, not the insurance company, should have the final say in our healthcare! As the ones paying for it, we have the right to receive the care we need. What’s the point of spending so much money if we’re only met with denials? Why is the government turning a blind eye and deaf ear to this issue? Is it because we’re not billionaires and therefore don’t matter to them? Their wealth wouldn’t exist without us-the people who support their products and pay taxes that fund their income. This ongoing problem demands action!
Each year we pay over $25,000 in health insurance premiums whether we use it or not. Oh, and that's after we meet the $4000 per person deductible and of course there's the co-pay. We have BC/BS of Illinois. We've never been denied, but we've never had cancer either. This is scary and heartbreaking.
You obviously don’t know what happens in other countries. The exact same thing….Canada and European countries deny people who need treatment or put them on a waiting list that they won’t live to see. Every year people travel from Canada and European countries and pay out of pocket to get treatment and surgeries in the US because they would be allowed to die in their own countries. Those other countries don’t allow for any treatment they deem experimental either and if you have stage 4 you are too risky to waste money on and they will deny you and let you die naturally. The government will deny everything these insurance companies are denying. I’ve been on government insurance in the US…..Medicaid….and if Medicaid doesn’t approve of a treatment or test or scan…then the doctor won’t order it. They won’t even pay for a vitamin D test even if you’ve had low vitamin D and need to keep track of it. So just keep fantasizing about government health insurance….but it’s not what you think it is.

People should boycott health insurance companies. Why keep paying them if they'll never pay for your treatment? Better save the money and either bargain with the doctors or take a flight abroad where treatment is x10 cheaper, and sometimes better!
Most people pay hundreds of dollars a month for medical/ dental insurance and only do routine yearly checkups. But as soon as you need your insurance, it can be denied? Absolutely shameful and disgusting. Was hoping to never hear any of these stories about BCBS. We need serious reformation of health insurance coverage.
The law should be changed where insurance companies are liable for delays and unfair denials the way a doctor would if you died sue to medical negligence.
Let's be clear. The government had plenty of money. NO cancer patient should ever be denied anything for survival. If the government can step in and "save and spend billions" on people here illegally for their care, ask yourself why they won't step in to save the cancer patients' LIVES.
I hope that continues. 10 yrs ago, I went through treatment and saw many fellow patients approach their final chemo treatments to have them denied getting 9 treatments instead of 12. I always wonder if any had recurrence because of that.
The insurance denials are criminal. I think another question that we should ask is why, "Do these treatments cost as much as they do?"' Why are PET scans $15k? Why is chemo tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands? Why is surgery tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands? Most machines and surgical equipment are reusable, so it isn't being replaced every year in most cases. Our healthcare system is broken at every level.

They have to keep up with their lifestyles while people are dying just sad
At this point, I really feel we are being mocked!
Should be able to sue insurance companies for pain and suffering!
@@bvokey8842some doctors argue with the insurance companies to help out their patients so not all doctors are the same
The last time my Father needed to go into the hospital for pneumonia because his immune system was being destroyed by chronic lymphatic leukemia, our local hospital refused to admit and treat him in the hospital because Medicare had already decided that anyone who wasn't running a fever ( he never did because his immune system wouldn't fight it off), he wasn't throwing up, and he wasn't choking to death, Medicare would not approve the hospitalization.
Y’all did something wrong in the way you went about getting the diagnosis and treatment. Story not adding up with all that insurance.
Insurance companies need to be investigated for fraud
Well United Healthcare is currently being investigated for fraud. They also have at least 50 class action lawsuits levied against them. Also CEO Brian Thompson and the CEO of United Health Group were both about to be indicted for insider trading.
Life saving measures are cost prohibitive … it’s cheaper if they don’t survive, the sooner it happens the more money the insurance companies save. Truth!
Luigi really brought a bunch of stories to the forefront?
He's already been saving lives too. The anesthesia limit coverage didn't go through. Also hundreds are thanking him because many tests, sugeries and medicine claims are getting approved.
I was diagnosed stage 4 in July and have had similar problems with insurance. My heart goes out to everyone and their families dealing with this nightmare!
After what happened with the incident with that one CEO you would think the insurance companies would be more cautious on denying treatment. They are in business For the stAkeholders and nothing more.
So why did NBC report that Brian Thompson was a victim a couple weeks ago?
Hypocrites
I guess the insurance companies didn’t get the hint.
They might need a couple reminders
they are all crooks aka gangsters with money

Also, hospitals charge way too much for everything
Do you think hospitals should charge 70-80% less for everything?
@@MrMnmn911 you obviously don't realize treatment costs in the US are significantly more than anywhere else. You should so research on how much a pet scan is out of pocket in UK, Asia etc.
Insurance actually set the price of healthcare. They didn’t used to, but after lobbying in the 60s it was required that hospitals had to charge at minimum Medicare prices. Before this hospitals would negotiate with patients directly a fair cost to pay. So no one would buy insurance because why would you need to and so insurance found a way to set high prices so that people would have to buy it.
it all goes back to health insurance lobbying... at this point i wanna know if anyone on the grassy knoll worked for health insurance
@@hash8169Maybe! Who really knows?
Congress need to pass a law if a certain number years pass and no injuries or illness come about a person should get refunded the insurance money they put into it. Same with auto insurance and home insurance!
@cwink9798 that's what I'm talking about!
They wont since they all get loaded by those companies.
The wrong man is in jail
Preach!
How???? And why is this allowed.
Ummm, because there are few consequences for the rich elite? Just a wild guess

Democrats passed Obamacare.
I appreciate you guys covering this
How else are the CEO’S supposed to take home bonuses of $50 million dollars every year? Does anybody ever think of the CEO’S lives too?! (Sarcasm)
And this is why America is outraged with insurance companies and not upset when somebody gets killed insurance companies are literally what's wrong with Healthcare in America Healthcare
It's also from all the For Profit Hospitals and medical groups, too.
@hildeschmid8400 I don't know if you know this but almost every hospital is for profit it's all a business
Gotta admit: Mangione's goal is being fulfilled, now that insurance companies' shady practices are being heavily scrutinized in the media.
*IT IS TIME FOR AMERICANS TO STAND TOGETHER AGAINST CORRUPT CORPORATIONS AND GOVERNMENT*
_We should not have to live this way_
David Cordani, the CEO of Cigna, earned a total compensation of $21 million in 2023. This included a salary of $1.5 million and stock awards of nearly $12.7 million. But Cigna can’t afford $10-$15K to help save a person’s life? Now do you understand the corporate rage?
If he runs for President I will vote for Luigi
If trump can be president, so can luigi.

First time voter!😅
when people are dying and have nothing to their name while big corporate ceos climb the million dollar ladder THIS IS WRONG and people will start doing something about it because they’re sick of the health care system

The poor keep paying $500. Due to their limit budget,
the rich? They just pay cash and get it cheaper In the long run since they only drop 10k once and by 2 years they get their money back and some more.
In developed countries the doctor does
Because the Gov created the issue. Gov doesn't fix anything, Gov is the problem.
Why the US needs governmental health insurance and not private insurance
You've never been to the VA and it shows.

Insurance companies don't care about anything but one thing and that's lining their pockets with more money at the cost of people's lives.
This is heartbreaking.
Insurance companies should be barred from doing business when the only room they pay for is the one that didn’t catch fire.
KUDOS to Hsu’s employer for paying for her needed treatment. These wealthy insurance companies won’t pay over $40,000 to save a deserving life. This is devastating and disgraceful. We the people are literally being discarded as though we’re garbage. Not trash but filthy garbage.
3:18 36% in patient death that means more than one out of three patients die how that’s determined whether it’s one in every three cancer patients or one in every three cancer patients whose insurance claims are denied either way one out of three die

Deny claim is wrong
Bureaucrats would deny claims and yes they're leftists.

My heart goes out to Tracey’s family. ❤
Insurance companies need more governing laws like the pre-existing condition one.
Does a PET scan cost 10,000+ in other countries?
People should boycott health insurance companies. Why keep paying them if they'll never pay for your treatment? Better save the money and either bargain with the doctors or take a flight abroad where treatment is x10 cheaper, and sometimes better!
Obamacare says you have to have insurance or face a fine.
Thanks Obama.
Luigi Mangione pray for us. We live in a country where EVERYTHING is a business.
Only doctors should be able to decide what is and isn't medically necessary. Not insurance companies.
FREE LUIGI!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Here is a question, why does a simple PET scan cost 15k !??.
Denying life saving treatment is an act of violence
Most people pay hundreds of dollars a month for medical/ dental insurance and only do routine yearly checkups. But as soon as you need your insurance, it can be denied? It’s a load of crap & the biggest money making scheme in America! Auto insurance too. It’s sickening how much “ We the People” are taken advantage of, & neither side of the government does anything about it.
I shed no tears for CEOs

They do not care how much you hate them because they have a lobbyist a team of lobbyists in Washington DC and politicians won’t do a thing for you. Notice these stories are starting to come to the forefront again. Have you heard your president elect speak about healthcare and fixing the insurance industry? Lots of talk about Greenland and Canada and Panama no real talk about US citizens just US citizens and their health insurance. Where are the Republicans to speak up and say let’s protect some lives around here?
Republicants are getting paid off. They aren’t there to help. traitors. and anyone who voted in republicants is one as well.
I knew the comments wouldn't disappoint
Absolutely shameful and disgusting. Was hoping to never hear any of these stories about BCBS. We need serious reformation of health insurance coverage.
At this rate better go no insurance and save the money you would pay for a premium monthly. It might not be as much but at least no one can deny you.
Luigi is a saint
I have nothing bad to say!
Delay deny depose and we will despise
Luigi for president!!!! We need Luigi at this difficulty moments.
Those CEOs had learnt nothing
ALL CEO of All Healthcare insurance needs to step up and start doing what they're supposed to whenever we went in our premiums monthly.
Denying healthcare is murder.
You don't have a right to Healthcare. If you want free Healthcare marry a physician.
My wife is going through cancer treatments right now, United Healthcare has been fantastic with all the claims and top-notch medical care.
I hope that continues. 10 yrs ago, I went through treatment and saw many fellow patients approach their final chemo treatments to have them denied getting 9 treatments instead of 12. I always wonder if any had recurrence because of that.
Heartbreaking. Infuriating.
It's not medically necessary to stay alive and get the care you deserve!!
If Healthcare was all controlled by the government, they could easily recoup the cost of $42,000 just from income tax alone over the next 4 to 5 years
no surprise my dad was denied kemo a few times 😑. Please get well
An you people have the nerve to tell US WE HAVE TO FEEL SORRY FOR BRIAN ????? NOPE
They are just covering this now after weeks being obsessed with CEO Brian Thompson alleged killer.
This is what they should have reported on first.
Bingo. We have to thump the algorithm, and let the news media know that these are the stories we need to hear about. Place that pressure on them.
The insurance denials are criminal.
I think another question that we should ask is why, "Do these treatments cost as much as they do?"'
Why are PET scans $15k? Why is chemo tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands? Why is surgery tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands? Most machines and surgical equipment are reusable, so it isn't being replaced every year in most cases.
Our healthcare system is broken at every level.
They push the expensive tests. Just say NO.
Bring out Luigi.
Im so sorry this happened. God Bless you.
People will look back one day and be absolutely shocked and embarrassed with how long we let these companies do this to people.
This is what is wrong with American's Health Care!!! Insurance companies should not be allowed to determine the care and treatments that citizens doctors say they need. Insurance is for profit only and seriously no telling how many American Citizens have died due to greedy insurance companies. Our government does nothing but support the insurance companies American Citizens deserve BETTER!!!
