    Normally 'Free' means some kind of catch, but not with Bandlab. This is the real deal & perfect for anyone wanting to dive into the world of a DAW before investing in something a little more expansive. Having said that it's only the inability to use VST & the basic mastering tools that really give me much to complain about.

      Yup. I’m always weary of “free”, but BandLab do pretty much offer this as a “public service”.

      Thanks John. I hope you get value from the other videos on the channel and consider subscribing if you haven’t already. I also have a BandLab Mobile tutorial releasing in a couple of days.

    Sweet! I'm really enjoying BandLab and also using Cakewalk as a supplement to my iOS workflows. It's pretty easy to use and there's plenty of great videos on how to use it like yours. I wonder how easy it is to use this within a browser on an iPad (like Chrome or iCab) - it would be nice to use it in a cross-platform way.

      Yes, not sure about browser support on mobile, but the mobile app is pretty cool.

    awesome videos im learning alot from your videos..question when using these loops can i add my own guitar instead?? thks

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there. Not really. Loops are audio files, so you can record your own guitar separately but it’s not really related to loops.

      Hey there. Sort of! Bandlab sounds are all royalty free. This video might help explain.

    Are these loops all at the same BIT depth and what is that bit depth?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there John. So, BandLab don't really show their sampling and bit rates unfortunately. I imagine you're looking at 16-bit however, as this is what BandLab exports its masters at. However in my experience you can import 24-bit samples too.

    So if it is free to join, how does Bandlab make money?

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      BandLab now own CakeWalk and this platform which they provide for free, however there are other businesses that they now offer which are monetised. So this is more of a public service. They also do take a cut of the donations made to creators through the platform.

    Pete
    Can you change the key from the first instrument you select ??

    • @PeteJohnsMusic
      @PeteJohnsMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. They all have their default key listed in the selection list and will come across as that, but the AudioStretch integration means it can be adjusted to whatever key or tempo you like.
