When i tried 90fps, i wpuld be sent to 24 frames instead, but when i would slide my notifs tab down on my android, it would increase to a stable 60fps for a few minutes. This strange issue only started happening like a month ago when the last 2023 update happened
This has been happening to me for a while. Adaptive display and fortnite dont play nicely. I just recommend playing on 60hz to avoid all the headaches and the game going down to 30fps halfway in the match
Epic dont want to fix the adaptive refresh bug. If u want 60fps you have to go into your phone settings and set the fps to to 60hz(standard) in order to get 60fps. However anything higher isnt possible
I would of honestly expect this to be fixed by now since it seems epic is now looking into mobile for improvements. I guess they saw this bug and said nah to much 🤣 but they removed the only method of fixing this yourself which is stupid on itself

Broken for months on adaptive screens, epic dont seems to want to fix the bug. I also suggest to just play with your screen set to 60hz to prevent the fps from locking down to 30fps in the middle of a match.

The game got new optimizations I believe since my phone used to play 60fps perfectly but since I downloaded it recently the 60fps option isn't even there anymore (I can only choose between 20 and 30 fps now) really sucks...

@Last_Life26-zt7hk no. The fps is cap due to the devices weaker CPU. Even my snapdragon 8 gen 1 struggling to hold 60fps so uncapping the fps will likely result is like 2 extra frames or even massive overheating which will cause your phone to get even less fps

Its a weird bug epic have to fix on their side i dont think there currently much we as player can do to get it to go to 90fps. Setting your screen refresh Rate to 60 or standard fixes the 30fps cap but im unsure how to get it to 90fps
The best we csn do is set our screens to 60hz if the fps is bugged. If that doesnt fixes it, i don't think theres a way to fix it on your end. Not enough people are reporting it to epic games so its not getting fix.

@@ItsAmin2005 ram doesnt dictate a phone raw performance. You need to have a high performance processor to handle the higher fps. If you fps options is only 30 it means the device's processor isnt fast enough to handle the higher fps.
55fps, huh thats a new one. Is it only when it heats up? If so thats pretty high when my s22 heats up i get 22fps 🥲. Try to cool the phone by pointing a fan or whatever more directly on the phone. Phones tend to use the screen to help cool things down so if its getting to hot still point the fan on the screen rather than the back

I know there some apps out there for specific phones that let u push back the throttle point or out right remove it but a phone getting extremely got isnt worth the long term damage it can cause like stright up bricking the phone. Fortnite mobile isnt worth that imo. Try to find get a small fan, not necessarily a cheap one as u want it to last a while

Epic games are aware of such problems and still offer 90fps options knowing full well it broken and will actually lead to lower fps. The least they can do is remove this option in a attempts to lower the amount of players being fooled by a broken option

Warning if your phone has a powerful cpu like SD 7+ Gen 2 or desteny 7200 or 8200 if you phone says it support⭕90fps means some games you will play at 60fps if it was 144fps you will play on 120fps ⬆️

If epic gonna fix this 90fps bug they prob have to release 120fps and call it 90. Ive hard set fortnite to 120 in the past and i was getting like 110fps in creative on high graphic when we was able to get back into the files but that was a while ago, it was nice having 60fps in battle royale on a 120fps display so much less imput delays

Since many more phone fps broke this patch maybe they're messing with it to imrpove android. Android recently got a new HUD feature after like 4 years of nothing so we just got to stay strong.

If you played in pc with the same account there is a thing in gamefile called 30fps in mobile lobby and 45fps in mobile go to pc and fix it

They limit the fps on some devices but didnt fix anything outside of that

@kaumazai I believe epic removed 60fps option away from many lower power chips due to it being to cpu demanding to see 60fps if it ever got up there.
