@user-of2tz6rt7j did you figure it out

Please help I've tried this multiple times and somehow no success. Above is code entered and the response. My game is in onedrive
Can I do this for the complete sims 4 folder on C drive instead of the individual files within the sims 4 folder?
Hello i know this is an old video but mine says the syntax of the command is incorrect what do i do??
Im having an issue will someone please help… So i did all the steps correctly and junction my mods but now the sims game will not open and i keep getting and error message telling me that there’s a damage file and if i have mods to delete them … idk what else to do😭😭 Please Help
hey, my love text me on Twitter @teasamss . I will try my best to help.
I know this is late but you need a resource.cfg file.
the sims4 naturally creates a new recourse.cfg if you run the game without a mods folder.
if thats too complicated download it of the sims recourse.
Hii, so I have a question.
This is what my path file looks like:
Electronic arts > The sims 4 > Mods > Mods is that normal? bc when i enter the sims 4 folder it shows "Mods" and below it the "resource.cfg" and when I click enter the mods folder that is where all of my mods are. For my harddrive the pathway looks like This pc > "Harddrive name" > Sims 4 mods > Mods . Is this normal?
take ur mods out of the second mods folder it’s in, they won’t work if they’re in anything more than 1 file location!!
I tried this way and it did nothing but mess up my folders. Is there way I can code it back out?? I talked to multiple support teams and even they couldn’t help.
Will this make the game possibly run faster and smoother ?
most likely if the hard drive has a lot of space
would this still work if i decided to put my game on the drive as well?
Does someone who knows exactly how to do it mind walking me through doing it ? I don’t wanna mess up
help my cc isnt showing up in game n idk what i did wrong bcuz i followed all the steps 🙁
hey so i just move TS4 to my hard drive and is it possible that i can put the mod into hard drive since my TS4 is not originally from my laptop?
Did everything you said and my mods will not pop up in game. What do I do?
It was saying moved when I moved it to my external hard drive
Okay, did you make sure you typed in everything correctly?
Yes I followed everything correctly I believe
@@mackenziepickett8475 I’m not sure why its not working…the main reason i find out its not working because they didn’t directly put their mods folder into the external hard drive but i don’t know anything else.🙁
So is there a way to change it back to the original placement and maybe I could do it over?
someone help me I recently just bought a new gaming laptop and drive to do this process again with my external hard drive but when i put the code into the command prompt it tells me that it can't create a file because it already exists, I just confused on what I'm doing wrong because the mods don't show up in my game. please help.
I’ve followed all steps but when when I check properties it still says it’s on the c drive
how do I undo this process? I did it and it worked for two days, but when I woke up the next day I could not get into my portable drive and it showing up as read only as well as it say no media in when I click on it, it ask me to insert a disk and it does not show up as storage drive anymore I have a 2 tb memory card and it show up 0 and I dont know how to fix it or get it back to a storage drive.
Can someone help me please? I keep getting cannot find path specified. and then I tried the tray thing someone in the comments said and then I got a already exists message.
Is it the same process when you’re trying to change the electronic arts folder(not only mods)?
i believe so
just make sure to change up the wording
I’m about to do this but I have a question. Should I move the mods and everything over to my hard drive and then after uninstall the the sims then redownload it to the drive, or should I uninstall the game then move the mods over? Someone please let me know.
Have you figured it out because I’m struggling with that part as well
move your mods to your hard drive before reinstalling the entire game so you wont lose them
for some reason i only have the origin file on my laptop not ea.
Wait omg. Do u have to run the game first AND THEN do this ?? Because i still am getting the cant find path error, and ive made sure to move not copy my mods folder. :,( shpuld i have moved the mods folder to the hard drive first and THEN moved it to the new renamed folder ? I feel like crying lmao
Me too have you found a solution for this yet?
@@naimasworld4131 i paid her to do it for me!!! She does bookings where she helps guide u through!! My game finally works with all my cc and everything is on my external. Idk what she did exactly but i would most definitely consider having her do a walkthrough with you. Its worth it
Do you know where I can book her?
@@naimasworld4131 shes on ig!! Lemme check and see if its the same name, im pretty sure if you comment on her most recent upload she will see it. Thats how i got a hold of her💚

okay twoooo questions, 1. will this still work with anadius? 2. do i have to download the game into the external drive or no? everytime i uninstall sims and download it thru ea it pauses on calculating if i try to download the game to the external plss someone help
how do you UNDO this ?
THAAAAANNNK YOOOOOOU you are awesome
I need help my mods are connected to one drive and I have no idea how to do it. It will be very helpful if someone could help and walk me through the process.
idk if you already found a solution but bellow would be the updated code

@@arim.7419 omg thank you I will try it rn
hey, so just for some clarification cause i’m kinda confused… if i buy a hard drive for sims 4 i can download more mods and cc by doing this ??
Yes so all the cc will be able to take its space to the hard drive instead of the whole computer which will make it better so you don’t look space on your c drive and place it else where but WARNING: this process doesn’t work for everyone.
hi so if i put my whole mods folder into my usb and do this. if i open my game it’ll be recognized as long as ofcourse the usb is plugged in? but what if i like turn of my computer and plug the usb again will it automatically recognize it or do i have to do this again
okay i did it exactly as followed but it's still saying "Cannot find path specified"
Make sure that you to to the electronic arts folder > sims 4 then move you whole mods folders to ur external hard drive while holding shift on your keyboard that would be the main reason why its saying that
@@TeaSams I did this and deleted my entire folder altogether
It never should be able to delete your folder. If so true it would be located in your recycle bin. If not you might have to look for it anywhere try using the search bar on your pc. But in any other way I don’t understand how you did it there’s no possible way. Hope you get it back.🙂💗
@@TeaSams i did thank you, I think your tutorial worked
Glad to hear!💗
how do i remove the command promts i try to right click and it keeps adding more! im about to just delete and start over how do i save this someone help please
Putting program files in the drive, did that help sims load in faster for you? Thx for the vid btw it worked for me
How did you get your mods to load up?
@@yoletsblaze6278 nothing too much, I just followed the video and it worked for me!
@@tropicalk5172 yeah I followed it and everything worked but my mods don’t load up
I did everything correctly my mods & everything pops up the game however is taking 10-15 minutes every loading screen how did you fix that?
@@keyandrawaard1397 since it's coming from a place that's not on ur computer it's going to take a little longer. It does that to me too so idk how to fix that
does this work if your game is in a ubs drive to begin with caus ei did all the steps but it still doesnt work
Maybe I missed it and it may be a dumb question but the cc will still be on sims 4 if it’s on the hard drive?
can i do this for tray files? or it stays the same
yes, you can do the same for your tray files.
Does it create a junction or it’s completely off you laptop storage?
hello, so i was able to move my mods over to my external hard drive. but it wont let me do my saves . it keeps saying 'command is incorrect" PLEASE HELP
When I paste the link into command prompt it says cant find path specified?
ok so nothing on the internet is helping me so someone please help!!!
I want to move my mods folder to my eternal hard drive cause I’ve run out of storage, but everytime I try these types of video methods it doesn’t work. I do everything the same but when I go in game none of my mods are there?? And keeps only using the main C drive
you’re not doing it right then
it keeps telling me in the comman prompt it cant because the file alreay exists, pls help troubleshoot anyone!!
How do i reverse it? please help
I'm having problem with the coding :(
On command prompt mine says “cannot crest a file when that fine already exists.” Any fix for this?
did you figure it out?
It says it’s incorrect when I paste it to the command prompt. How do I fix it?
I did what you said but somehow whenever I downloaded cc mods it takes up space on my actual disk, not on my hardrive even tho I move em in there, can you help me?
You have to change the download settings on your browser so that they download to your external harddrive, and not your actually computer storage :)
@@xo_.eliza. can you explain how
My computer's saying it can't create a file that already exists. Any fixes?
If you have problem doing this with it saying “Cannot find path specified” make sure you move your mods folder STRAIGHT FROM ELECTRONIC ARTS not any other folder you made your self and move to you external hard drive while pressing SHIFT on your keyboard and make sure it says move not copy!!!! This could be the only reason why you have this problem.❣️
Mine says that too and when I go on my game all my cc was removed
@@kluhgee Hey! This is the second comment I’ve see say this I’m not sure why it would be deleted but it would be located in your recycle bin. If not you might have to look for it anywhere try using the search bar on your pc. Or double check your external hard driveHope you get it back.🙂💗
hi! what worked for me is i had to delete my mods folder that was created by the game in the official folder (it had no mods in it because i placed my actual mods folder in my D: drive!) i really hope this works for u!!
please help me almost all of my cc and mods are already on that drive!!!
what if I want to return it to the document?
i downloaded sims 4 straight to my D: drive and it didnt even make an electronic arts folder are you able to help?
Hey, try to repair the game in origin. Or try on the typing windows bar and search up electronic arts and see it that at least pops up.
@@TeaSams thank u! i realised i had to run the game first LMAO
I did this and it said file already exists and when I go to my game all of my CC is gone
Make sure before you do anything you move your mods folder while holding shift to you external hard drive and is says MOVING not copying because i feel like thats the only reason its say that

does this also work with the sims 3?
not sure but you can always try if it dosmt work it will just say it fail but won’t change anything
It’s telling me a syntax of the command is incorrect 😢
Does it have to be a hard drive? Can it be a 2TB usb drive?
I'm not sure haven't tested if before but i believe it could be possible won't hurt to try!
