      @@whitead25 I will respect your question with an honest answer. MK11 specifically worries too much about the moral high ground. There are a lot of examples, but I can think of some simple ones:
      1. Johnny used to play the circle game if you changed his belt, but NRS worried that looked too much like the "Okay" symbol (which dummies think is r@cist thanks to a Reddit troll) and so they changed it to the middle finger. Yes, Johnny flipping you off is less offensive to NRS than the circle game.
      2. The costume designer said in an interview that they changed the female costumes and do not care if it upsets fans. They claim this was done to make the costumes practical, but I have made two full videos on how this is an outright lie to fans and denies players outfits they want. Keep in mind, I also love the new costumes in MK11. I just think excluding classic ones is a dumb moral stance and not a logical one.
      3. The famous instance of Shao Kahn quoting Donald Trump. Shao Kahn would never say "Make Outworld Great Again" because he wants to conquer all realms; not just Outworld. The devs likely included this line simply because they were salty at the 2016 election.
      Overall, MK11 is filled with devs who just want to make a great game, but some of them are more interested in flexing their morals in a game where you tear people apart...

    I don't want the chapter system in story mode anymore. It was a great innovation back in the day, but I feel like it limits the storytelling now. A lot of characters don't get to shine and we get ridiculous scenes like Kung Jin defeating Kotal Kahn. I hope the fights in story mode happen in a way that fits the story, not the other way around

      I don't mind the chapter system, I think it's a cool way to get players to learn a characters play style. It should mainly be new characters in the chapters though so you can get a taste of who they are and how they play in the game. Also, nether realm needs to let bad guys have a chapter in the story as well. Some villains like Geras are supposed to be very powerful, but you will never get that sense given how he loses every fight. Neither realm needs to establish that the villains are an actual threat, not just jobbers essentially.

    I know they said that they’ll never do it again, but I would really love it if Tag Team came back from MK9 ( that’s when I experienced it ). Whether it be in Mortal Kombat or Injustice. I loved being able to play two of my favorite characters in the same match.

      Yeah agreed. I understand why they took it out, cause it was hard to balance and was very broken and easy to exploit, but then limit it to offline or non-competitive play would fix most of the issue with this. Cause yeah it was such a fun mode to play.
      Edit: or they can make it online as well, but make it its own mode without official competitive rankings (or such that the rankings aren't taken as seriously as official rankings). While also making it clear that it's pretty broken. That way everyone agrees to the risk of extremely broken matches, and it doesn't affect actual proper competitive play.

    Variations are cool. Personally, I like the idea of having different ways to play the same character. I mean, being able to use a character that you love with multiple ways is cool.

      If they remaster MK9 there are two things they must follow, puts Kratos and all it's God of War stages on all platforms, and DO NOT REDESIGN characters, leave them as they were.

    I feel like with story mode I think it would be better if they did something where you follow specific events from mortal kombat lore rather than an over arching story, like Scorpion teaming up with Kenshi, or Fujin fighting Noob Saibot. they could also do something similar to shao lin monks wear instead of constantly fighting the same opponent you could instead have a 3d person beat em up until you fight an actual character in which you go into standard fighting game mode.

      Yeah. Story Mode for the past years is dogshit as it looks like more watching a movie and do just a fight and continue on. I wanna explore the realms like Conquest in Deception or like you said a beat 'em up style.

      I think that’d be really cool too bad it prolly won’t ever happen but it’d be so fun . Like imagine when you fight those mobs you had a combat system like the Arkham games. And then like you said it switches back to traditional fighter against non fodder characters. Sort of like a 2d version of Naruto ultimate ninja storm or one piece Pirate warriors . :/ it sucks that fans come up with better ideas than the devs do

It would be pretty jarring to be playing a traditional and to then switch back to a 3d beat em up game. To me and many people. It would mess with the flow of gameplay. As you would be forced to do two entirely diffrent things

    100% agreed on all points. But mostly, I don't want the EXTREME grinding to return, those useless minor itens like augments, konsumables and shit that only exists to fill the krypt (which needs to be like before and never again a lootbox) with things we DONT want, to make us play more and more and earn more currency to open more and more chests and MAYBE get a skin or a gear or a brutality that we really want. And don't get me started on timed events that last a day and come back after A YEAR (including premium shop with skins that appeared ONCE like Kold War Skarlet and never returned). Also we dont need 300 skins if they are in fact 3 skins with 100 recolors that dont even make sense like yellow Sub-Zero and blue Scorpion. Oh and DONT CHANGE CHARACTER MODEL FACES FOR THE 421X TIME

    One thing I don’t want to see in MK12 is a retconned character! Also I hope they bring back Karen Strassman as Kitana and Mileena and keep the MK11 face models for pretty much all characters!

      @@aisrosel Grey is an icon and a living legend, and yes she would be perfect as both Mileena and Kitana but I personally prefer Karen Strassman over her and especially Kari Wahlgren! I think Kari should voice some soft and calm character like Ashrah

    I prefer the change from X-Rays to Fatal Blows. Few players would use X-Rays because why would you risk all your meter for one attack when you could just spend a bar or two and get a combo that might do even more damage? With Fatal Blows it gives everyone a good reason to use a characters special super move and makes it more appealing in my opinion.

      I would prefer a combination, even though krushing blows have the x ray effect, i would like something like an X blow, baiscally a fatal blow but with X ray effects

      I will never understand why people are surprised that a combo where you have to memorize and time multiple inputs, not drop your opponent and be subjected to combo breaking deals more damage than an attack that's armored, cannot be broken and its input is simply pressing 2 buttons at once.
      Fatal Blows were the worst change in MK11 and I hope I'll never see them again. Watching the guy who got his ass kicked getting a 10-15 seconds cutscene where they deal +30% damage in every match is nothing short of stupid.

      @@NobleHunter it’s called a “comeback mechanic” because it helps make a comeback. X-rays were literally useless, you spend all your meter for something that isn’t worth using? I think you might just be bad at anticipating the attack. Another reason fatal blows are better, if you whiff, you don’t essentially lose the game. If you whiff an X-ray, you waste all of your meter that you probably spent the entire game building up. Another reason? If you wanna combo into an X-ray, it has to be a boring 3hit string into X-ray whereas a fatal blow doesn’t use meter so you can combo into it from almost anything.

    The only thing i want in next MK game is getting combo breaker mechanic from Injustice, not Clash tho. Clash is too iconic to Injustice. I'm talking about air escape mechanic, it was way better than breakaway. You can still punish someone if you predict it, but you don't get punished for landing a combo. MK X combo breaker was also really good.

    Here's what I don't want for mk again:
    1.Guest Characters, unless if its something original, enough horror or r-rated characters, hell, I'll take a Power Rangers character.
    2.Using the same friggin characters over and over again, use someone like Nitara, Stryker, or heck, even Tsu Hao, TSU. FRIGGIN. HAO! Stop using characters from the first 3 games.
    3.Retcons, enough said, everyone hates this bs.

      As someone that only played the first 4 games and then didn't get back into it until MK9 it was kind of nice they didn't bother to include anyone from MK5-7 since I didn't know their backstories at all, but yea for people that played those ones I get why they'd want to see those characters back.

    01:20 I think this request will not be accepted, the real concern for me is not the pistols, the concern is the lack of mobility conferred by the game, if not there were pistols for a long time and I don't think anyone outsmarts Jacqui in spamming in the MKX the only issue here is that you can't run to get close to the opponent.

      Have you heard of KBD? It’s a movement Korean players devised in TEKKEN 7, but the concept is still applicable even in a game like MK11. Trust me it’ll up your mobility in this game 200% only if you’re dedicated to learning it

      @@Es97Coqui Indeed I realized it well and I think that's the problem they wanted too much to copy the other games even the principles of KB comes from Tekken and SF, the problem with KWD is that with some characters it sucks a lot and moreover I think that no Wave Dash equals the satisfaction of running to get the opponent or continue a Kombo, in terms of MKX fluidity largely beats MK11 (According to me 🙌🏾)

      @@brandoncolon3047 I’m a D’Vorah main and typically if I’m struggling in the matchup, I’ll either try again with my bug babe or switch to my other co-mains (Sonya, Johnny, Skarlet, Erron Black, Mileena, or Shang Tsung). It helps to learn other characters and practice movement in this game. I know KWD isn’t the same as running, but hey, adapt and go on.

    The biggest issue I had in MK 11 is the Koin collecting, event Krypt and adding more and unnecessary currency for the Krypt. Like start putting colored Koins back and stop putting chests so goddamn expensive to spend on. I hate the fact you needed network connection to even get IN the Krypt use Koins or any currency you have. It's fucking annoying.
    Don't get me started with last boss fights. Kronica was stupid hard even on normal difficulty for just throwing dumb attacks that takes a huge chunk of your life bar.

    I think one of the problems that comes with guest characters is the licensing issues. Everyone by now probably has some understanding regarding the difficulties with trying to acquire Ash. Plus it makes some games or characters themselves impossible to play with ever again once the agreed upon deal goes past its term limit.

    I need that just 1 variation can players equip. Because 3/4/5 variations really makes any player cheating type because if you use a character and your opponent select same character then he knows that your variations. Then he instantly select better variations than you. So no we don't need more variations. Just only 1

    I think you nailed it, these are all things I have wanted changed/removed. We also need more classic ninjas and new ninja style characters. Takeda was awesome, but they didn't give us anything like that in MK11.

    Fatal Blows and a separate meter are such a good concept in my opinion, hell even Street Fighter 6 is using that same system and adding to it, which I hope MK12 improves on. 11 did have lots of good concepts that I don’t think shouldn’t ever return, but should instead be changed. Just quick examples being you only gain defensive bar by doing offensive actions so if you used breakaway, you at least earned that meter, but also make it so all special moves ignore breakaway and if they do catch you you take double damage. So it’s not just an escape for free. And Variations should be more like Monster Hunter Rise switch skills, the skills you’re allowed to change are only for specific inputs that are universal for all characters, so unique actions like Raiden’s teleport aren’t effected. Would just going back to breakaway and just one move set also work, honestly yeah, but having custom ways to play made the single player experience way more fun

      Actually, I think most of MK11’s mechanics should not return.
      Fatal blows should be taken out entirely and not replaced by anything. Krushing blows should be taken out and not replaced by anything.
      Breakaway should be replaced by breaker like in MKX and MK9.
      More special moves and strings should be added to display character variety and incorporate different play styles with the same character.
      MK9 may have been broken with different characters but the character depth was excellent and never looked hindered by any variation system because there was none.
      Certain characters like Reptile could be played on a spectrum. There was no right or wrong way to play the game. You could be as creative as you wanted to be.

    I strongly disagree about the variation system. I think it is great, while, yes, it should have been done better. For me, one of the best parts of MK11 was designing variations for every character, and picking different skins and gear for each. What they should do is: never make variation abilities replace classic moves, give each character more options, and design the slot allocation properly. I want MK12 to have variations, and I want it to work right this time.

      They’ve done the variation system too many times already.
      The reason why it never works is because you’re sacrificing certain moves for others.
      I never feel like my character is complete within a variation system. Instead, I’m put in the mentality where I stick with 1 variation I made because that’s the one I think is the strongest and the one I’m most comfortable with using.
      If the variation system comes back I’m most likely switching to Street Fighter 6.
      Even Tekken 7 recognises this, which is why some character’s move list is over 100 different strings. MK11 has an average of 5 to 6.

      And I am probably going to give SF6 a try regardless of how good MK12 is going to be. It is not like you have to pick one.

    for me it's the gear system, yes i love customizing my characters but the way it was implemented was just to in your face i think mkx did it WAY better than this game, when a character only has like 4 costumes if you're lucky then it really lets the designers make one awesome costume as opposed to a bunch of mediocre costumes

    When it comes to the politics I think having characters be gay is fine, I actually liked Kung Jin in MKX and wished he came back for 11 and the Milena + Tanya relationship adds to her character, but the whole outfit thing is just so stupid. They claim it’s because you would t fight in a bikini but real life fighters try to wear as little as possible plus they still have the characters wearing heels even if it doesn’t fit them like with Kitana, Frost and Skarlet since they’re both meant to be silent assassins. The heels kinda fit Sindel and Jade but it’s a big of a stupid oversight.

    What politics are in the game? All I remember was some dev on Twitter yelling at people and defending the female characters clothes (“no one fights in a bikini and heels!”) and less attractive faces… only to wind up with Sindel et al fighting in bikinis and high heels.

    I feel like the meter refilling this is a good concept done bad in practice. Personally, I like not having to worry about needing to generate a lot of meter but there should be a way to generate it in addition to the passive stuff.

      Had each character with their own special meter if not the/and the option to allow you to chose the Special Meter more fitting to your play style
      This would resolve the problem how having a Special Meter that will inevitably favor one playstyle over another

    I have an easy solution to bring back both Krusing Blows and Fatal Blows in the next MK game... give Fatal Blows the X-Ray visual damage, and since the Krushing Blows no-longer need to be slowed down for that detail, they can be sped up.

    I really want to see the combo system from the 3D mk games come back. No other fighting game did that. Where we had to switch stances for the combo. I thought that’s what they meant by variations when mk x came out.

    I feel like the viability/excitement of keep-away characters really hinges on the underlying system. Glacius from Killer Instinct is a great example of a keepaway done right - if he hit-confirms his distance specials he can land an entire combo remotely. KI has counterplay *during* combos, so the other player still has every chance to land a Combo Breaker or otherwise escape. Even if they do, the distance means Glacius will be a lot less minus from the breaker than a normal exchange, but still gave the other player an advantage employing their gap-closer of choice (which turns the knowledge check back on the Glacius character, as who their opponent picked dictates whether they're going to jump in, using an approach move with super armour, teleport, or even have a full-on approach mixup). So while Glacius is at an advantage from a distance and probably wants to stay there, the exchange is still engaging, but this is all propped up by the core system.
    I guess what I'm saying is that if MK wants engaging keepaways, they need to look into a more exciting way of doing it than either slinging projectiles back or hoping you have a teleport that can punish cheapshots.

    few things i wonna add to this:
    1.variations are a cancer to MK series !
    2.guest characters do take a slot from retuning characters, just build hype for retuning ones instead !
    3.both meters and combos need to get a massive overhaul, combos can be chained for far too long !
    4.MK's a fighting game where people take each other's guts out, politics do NOT work in this setting !
    5.and the main issue with returning abilities is not the input per say althought its inconvenient, but rather its their frames that are changing and thats what completely kills an ability or makes it game breaking and broken !
    6. and finally, most importantly we need some order and consistency restored in the story of characters that are big fan favorites, we can't have shujinko becoming a punch bag for a school girl's arcade ending, when he was the protagonist of arguably The BEST MK game of all time, MK Deception, or we can't have the coolest female character in MK history, Sindel, completely making a U turn and becoming pure evil whereas she was always noble before... get your dirty hands out of the old, perfectly made stories of MK netherrealm, you have no idea how to make a compelling story so keep away from the old canon !!!

    For me seeing fatal blows was cool for the first few times but it just is a sit and wait 15 or so seconds on something you can't interact with and it ruins the flow most times. Towers of time is where it drives me nuts, every match lingers due to fatal blows lasting as long as they do and seeing the same ones over and over due to that mode really makes me hate the idea.

    Don’t include server based systems for offline features. In MK11, if the servers were down or your internet acted up, then you would be locked of the krypt and wasn’t able to properly change your customisation until it came back.

    I really want mk12 to bring back mid air grabs so juggles cam lead to brutalities again and if they do guest characters they need to be good ones! Not saying rambo aint good but im sure people like guest characters more along the line of joker and spawn and horror icons because they fit so much better

    I generally agreed with everything except the refilling bar. I find that in most fighting games I spend the whole round trying to build meter just to do one cool combo whereas in mk11 I was just waiting to refill my meter and I was able to do crazy combos often using meter. I hate the defensive meter but I think that if mk gave you a refillable meter that refilled faster with aggression, allowing you to do some crazy stuff, and maybe 3 or 4 bars instead of 2, that would be cool. I just want to be able to do cool things instead of being conservative with my gameplay until the final moments of a round

      What about a charge button as another option for building meter? Like ki charging in a lot of Dragon Ball Z fighting games. It would be the fastest way to build meter but would leave you wide open to attack. Hi risk, hi reward.

      @@lastround2357 I know but most of the time, if I was being aggressive and just trying to build meter fast, I just won the round anyway and did so before the meter fully charged back up. I could just do 50/50 all day and get the win but it’s not necessarily fun because at that point I’m just doing basic 3 hit strings where id rather be doing crazy 25 hit combos utilizing ex specials and supers. Mkx had my favorite combat in general, I’m just imagining what mkx would have been like with crazy amounts of meter.

    I’d like it if Krushing Blows were more limited and unique, an extension of each character’s playstyle. Have a rushdown character have a Krushing Blow on a risky mix-up, make only grapplers have grab Krushing Blows, make a footsie focused character have the uppercut Krushing Blow. Think it would be a lot better then.

    Agree with many of the points. Fatal blows are interesting enough and I dont think x-rays are necessary anymore. They don't contribute much to the game experience aside from a novelty factor that never lasts very long.
    Lastly, about the final point mentioned in the video. Whilst game companies, specially inconsequential one such as NR, often fail to produce genuine commitment to a tranformative gaming experience, I don't think they should be expected to. Industries are industries at end of the day and tranformative political action is always achieved through real lived and colective spaces, not in an MK game.
    With that said, I should point out that the way you phrased it in the video omits much of the compexity in the topic. Phrases like " keep politics out of gaming" are obtuse at best and, at its worst, dangerously missleading about the nature of media consumption under capitalism. There is nothing apolitical about a MK game, no one is immune to it's discourses, in fact the same can be said about all games really.
    Repeating things like this often just creates an echo chamber where "political ideology" in games becomes a muddy concept: are they talking about violence? imperial narratives? Racial and ethnical dynamics? Gender and sexuality? This unceartainty often culminates in a closed space where "political ideology" becomes a discoursive weapon used on marginalised narratives.

      Problem is not politics in a game. The whole thing about Shao Kahn sounds a lot like "colonization", for example.
      But, the way they're doing it now seems very out of place, with characters being used to represent narratives they never did and all.
      On top of that all, we pretty much have politics on everything nowadays, and it's always good to have an "escape". I mean, must we have politics being thrown at our face even in a game where I just want to punch a face? I believe politics could be adressed in MK, but would be better done in an ironic way, cause it fits much better.

    Things I don't want to see in any future MK game:
    - Timetravel: Return to the original timeline and forget the NRS timeline ever happened, or that Kronika even exists. Speaking of Kronika....
    - Titans: It literally broke the lore, added nothing of interest, and shouldn't be in MK. We already had the Elder Gods and the One Being. Heck, we even have the Furies from MK2 (who are all about the balance). They didn't need to shoehorn some Greek crap in there.
    - Dominic Cianciolo & Shawn Kittelsen: They just don't know MK lore / history and can't write a good story. MK11's plot has more holes in it than a cheese grater.
    - Guest Characters: Waste of time and resources that could be spent on actual MK content. I don't believe anyone is picking up MK for the first time just because they're a Rambo fan. And under no circumstances should those characters ALREADY be in the game, and force the player to fight against them, if that player refuses to buy that content. This is literally on-disk DLC, but it's also shoving it down people's throat at the same time. This was the main reason I stopped playing MK11, and did so before characters like Fujin, Rain and Mileena came out - which I would've gladly bought had I still been playing the game.
    - Exclusivity deals: People thought EA and Ubisoft were bad for having like 6 versions of a game and a buyers guide. MK(2011) had over 20 (maybe 30) versions of the game when it was released with different in-game content dependant on a combination of pre-order bonuses, console exclusives, store-specific exclusives and multiple collectors editions. It was impossible to get all the content.... even when the complete editions came out.

    Honestly I love the breakaway system and the way the meter works it's kinda dope to have an all out bar combo or to optimize your combo's to use just one bar. And combo breaker was fun especially because you lose so many options just to haha dropped an opponents combo but now they're probably missing a bar

      Why would you love the breakaway system?
      It boils most combo launchers into a simple D2 because that’s the safest way to end the combo without being punished for over committing.
      Have you never played online where you tried to do a combo and then they used breakaway, got back up and then punished you while you were stuck in recovery?
      That happened to me so many times I stopped caring about doing interesting combos.
      Instead it was launcher into D2 every time just to guarantee the damage.

    I really enjoy the guest characters. I found no problem with mk11 adding so much because of the characters they added. Robo cop vs terminater was an amazing addition. I missed kenshi tho.

    I'm one of the rare few that didn't mind the Sindel retcon. I even liked her monologue about King Jarrod... until she started referring to her powers as "privilege" like that wasn't super on the nose, or like it doesn't downplay Sindel's newfound arrogance.
    I don't mind political messages in my media at all, just make it make sense to the narrative/character and don't insult my intelligence.

    My problems with Mortal Kombat is mostly story related:
    1. D’Vorah killing fan favourites
    And to make things worse she didn’t even get killed in MK11, she just vanished from the story, someone with a lot of power at NRS must be a massive fan of her
    2. Twindel/Retconning character’s backstories for no reason over then laziness
    3. Kronika
    terrible character and terrible boss fight
    4. Cetrion
    She just sucked
    5. The overuse of Special Forces characters/too many Special Forces/gun characters on the roster
    6.The Villains always losing in Story mode
    Let us play as the villains in story mode so that they can at least get some wins.
    7. Turning Shao Kahn into a joke
    I couldn’t take Shao Kahn seriously in MK11 unlike in previous games
    8. Non playable characters
    I hated when they locked Rain in the MKX story mode and never made him playable and I hated when they locked the Cyborgs in the MK11 story mode and Ermac and Reptile in the Krypt and never made them playable, it’s just very frustrating when they tease characters you like and even make models for them making you want to play as them but they never make them playable.
    9. The desexualisation of the female characters
    Like it or not sex sells and putting more clothes on female characters who’s character is supposed to be their sex appeal but putting less clothes on male characters is just stupid.
    10. NRS’s poor communication with it’s fanbase.
    11. The variation system
    Keep the option to customise character’s gears/outfits but get rid of the variation system, I was never a fan of it.

    Idea: for the next MK, how about that the animations for the Fatal Blow/Krushing Blow are what occur right before the FINISH HIM fatality/friendship prompt? It leads up to the opponent being dazed and reeling from how hard they just got hit, and we still get the Xray and outrageous effects.
    And if they added in more voice acted taunts DURING combat (not just a stand and pose) while they're fighting each other, it could come off more visceral and almost personal. We could get more dynamics between characters that way. Idk just an idea

    I really like the freedom of choice with the variation system. Being able to pick your favorite character and build their moveset the way you like , or changing moves to find new available combos is really awesome and makes each match more unique since youre not fighting the same characters 3 movesets every time. Guest characters are just cool for people to be able to play as their favorite character in a fighting game. Youd never get to experience people like rambo and spawn in a fighting game if not for mortal kombat. I think breakaway is an interesting change from combo breaker and adds somewhat of a new level of strategy, since breaking at the wrong time could lead to an even deadlier combo if the opponents reads it with an armor break. So thats my thoughts.

    There are some things that I can agree with this list, making iconic moves universal for now on like the spear an ice ball, no more breakaways, no political messages, and minimize keep away character/zoning characters to a minimum. I still like the KB and variation systems but they have to be retooled and balanced to make them different from the previous entries (Erron Black as an example, one variation uses his guns in combo strings, another replaces his guns with a rifle, and the last is a utility kit of traps, bombs, and hazards). I like to think of the middle ground idea but I very much hope that for each character you play as, they remain that style of play instead of a jack-of-all-trades like Lui Kang’s fire balls, parries, and stances. Another thing I wish would go away are moves and combo strings that don’t really serve any purpose mid battle; there are a ton of moves that aren’t used at all and some combo strings barely feel usable outside of being a safer route (just look at Kitana’s combo list and how a select few are worth remembering). If I could have one decision to make MK 12 feel balanced, using MK 11 as an example, I would make specific combos eligible for certain special cancels that match the move (Fujin’s wind kicks and tornado for example being a viable special cancel for his aerokinisis string if the air arsenal move is in his custom slot).

      Who are you getting zoned by? Keep away is so bad in this game. Honestly, only Shang Tsung and Scorpion are good keep away characters. I've seen a lot of people complaining about zoning, but NRS already listened and made MK11, where keep away is bad and everyone plays rush down.
      What zoner are all these fans having trouble with?

    I agree with most of your list. But I disagree on a few things. 1) I Love Kustom variations. 2) I Love Krushing Blows. I do think that it's unfair that some KBs are almost impossible to perform (Fujin having to "catch" you backdashing for example). What is not on your list that I personally don't want to return is Flawless Block Attacks. The Flawless block itself is fine, but the follow-up should only reset the neutral, not reward you with a combo. Call it "Flawless Block Push" (Xmen vs Street Fighter had a similar mechanic). All brutalities should be automatic, as long as u unlocked them from the krypt. Brutalities are easily the hypest part of MK11. Lastly, bring back Premier Skins from Injustice2. This way we can creatively increase the roster, for this 30th anniversary

      I think you should need to hold the button for brutalities and the conditions should come back (although some were ridiculous) but there should be a setting for auto brutalities if you do the condition. Always having brutalities happen if you end with the move would take the fun and flex out of doing a brutal imo and would prevent mercies, if that comes back

    I disagree with you on the guns and guest characters. The thing I don't want to return is the MK 11 Krypt in general which includes the microtransactions. I also do not want the MK 11 towers to show up since I hated them. I prefer the MK 5-7 variations where the special moves stays the same. When I played MKX (MKXL since it was on sale) I was annoyed and confused as to why certain moves was locked on each variation. I also do not want the MK 11 version of Scorpion's spear move since I prefer the olden days. Also I want some of the moves to be faster since I don't know why but Sub-Zero's ice ball seems to not only be slow on start up but slow in general compared to the Midway days of Mortal Kombat.

      That's will always be the most Awful part of a Game)
      And not only they should bring it back but also expand it (maybe merging it with Shaolin Monks' or Konquest's Game Mecchanics) and so turning it into a Secondary Mode kinda like how Tekken has Devil Within

    I mainly want the input leniency to be toned down
    It ironically makes doing combos way harder than they need to be.
    Just make it where if I let go of a button, then do an input and press a button, I don't accidentally do the special move on the first button I pressed. This issue I've only had with Netherrelms titles and no other fighting game

    If the politics segment is about Jax's ending I disagree, with time travel I feel most people in general would set out to change the most fucked up parts of history. An African American stopping slavery just seems realistic.

    I know this might sound dumb but I wish characters had more then two fatalities. I know we got friendships and brutalities but friendships are whatever and a lot of brutalities have crazy requirements to do them or even use moves you don't have on your variation. The game is known for its fatalities so I wish characters had more.

    I know a few people hated the Jax ending cinematic. I and many other black players loved it though! We don't get much representation in video games. Jax is an African American, so having that little bit of truth was nice and refreshing. Honestly, why would you be mad about a man going back in time and undoing America's greatest evil? Something that should make people go "Hmmm".

    I know they were trying something new with the crushing blows, flawless blocks but I'd like to return to the "rush down" combo heavy iterations of mk like mk9 or mkx. I feel they were the strongest and most fun additions to the franchise though if they changed this to fit the "realistic movements" to their characters I'd understand. But I'd love to see more stronger combo potential especially for characters that should have more potential like Raiden.

    If Fatal Blow returns, it should take away any meter that you have and can only be used once. It shouldn’t return after a cool down.

      So you basically want it to be back the way it was in Mkx. I don't like that system in mkx because if it is tied to meter, no one will ever use fatal blow. There are way more effective ways in mkx to use meter in that game other than saving it for that which is why you don't ever see x rays in mkx like that. I agree that you should only be able to use it once wether it hits or misses though.

    I wonder why Netherealm mk11 didn't just bring back characters like the cyborgs, Ermac and reptile instead they give us too many guest characters like Rambo and Terminator so sad. Agreed they should stop changing the inputs for characters like scorpion and subzero it's ridiculous.

    For me is, no more messing with the timeline in any future MK! Netherrealm should have played the Legacy of Kain series and taken notes on how Crystal Dynamics with Kain affecting the timeline in his realm and had to face the consequences of his meddling.

    I couldn't disagree more on the guest characters. I think they are the thing that hype me the most in the fighter packs. Imo, netherrealm just needed to add as many legacy characters. I shouldn't have to pay for Mileena, but I'm completely okay to pay for someone like Rambo or spawn
