    There is a lot to be said about the Danbei Neo Smart Projector that I love.
    The picture is bright and the colors pop without being over saturated. The LED light source makes for an amazing picture with HDR detail I have not seen on much, much more expensive 4k projectors as you will see in the review. I was also blown away with the sound quality of this projector making it a truly portable 1080p projector that can go from room to room without the need for all the extra gadgets and gizmos.
    what stands out for me is.
    -Super sharp picture and no visible screen door affectthat you find in some 1080p projectors.
    -The only projector I have reviewed to date besides my Epson 5050UB that handled the HDR horse scene where you can actually see the trees in the background versus the blown out white background normally seen (and that has been $2500 plus projectors included).
    -Fantastic cable broadcast resolution without the digitized effect seen on alot of newer projectors.
    -In a light controlled environment or home theatre, this makes for a very impressive pictur even on a bigger size then the maximum recommended size of 120", my screen is 136".
    -Super quiet operation, not even noticeable when using the built in sound.
    -Most impressive sound quality and with the Dolby Audio it really fills the room with sound.
    -With 540 ISO lumens the picture is suprisingly bright!
    -The fact that the projector literally sets itself up is hard to beat.
    Distractions.....
    -Could be blacker blacks but very much like the Emotn N1 i am still impressed as it is an $899 CAD projector.
    -Would love a nicer metal remote versus plastic but it still does the job.
    In the end, for the price, this projector is fantastic value for the money. Projectors have come a long way since my Sanyo PLV-Z days..

    One of the nice things about the Emotn N1 was the black level and contrast which were both pretty good, probably because it uses an LCD panel. I understand this one uses a DLP chip which have a reputation for poor black levels. How do black level and contract compare to the N1?

      Andy, I would say this is close or maybe a little better actually...I really loved the Emotn but this is a step up...and it should be for the price. I could easily live with this Neo until my JMGO N1 comes in👍

    Usually DLP has flickering (especially if the shutter speed of the camera set to 1/60-1/250). But on this video I didnt see one. Strange.
    Does it have that flickering?

      I did not notice any flickering of any kind and it is used quite regularly.

      @@OlyGoalie67 I found a video. Yes, it has flickering. Not so strong as some others DLP but has one.

    Hi
    How does the projector compare to the Foremovie S5 laser projector? Which projector would be better? Thank You

    • @OlyGoalie67
      @OlyGoalie67  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not seen the ForMovie S5 but I have seen some other videos online comparing the two and the N1 looks better and I have never seen a better projector then the N1...ever👍

      Hi thank you for such a helpful response. In terms of brightness there is quite a difference in lumens between s5 and the Dangbei, s5 is nearly double.
      Would you still recommend the Dangebi as the better choice and for daytime use? Thank You 👍

      @OlyGoalie67  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to apologize...I have been getting so much inquiries on my JMGO N1 Ultra I read yours and thought it was for that projector. It still doesn't change my response as the Neo is the absolute best 1080p projector I have used and is incredible picture quality and at 540 iso lumens it is bright. Is it bright enough for daytime viewing, it's as good as it gets but I'm not sure the lumen rating of the ForMovie for comparison.

      Hi, it's okay, thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experiences. I am looking at purchasing either the Neo or the Formovie S5 projector. The lumen rating for the Foremovie S5 projector is 1100 ANSI laser source. As it's two different measurements any idea which would be brighter? = )

    • @OlyGoalie67
      @OlyGoalie67  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @audi4581 I love the LED light source and it was my focus on my new projector until I saw the N1 and its triple laser then have been moved back to laser for a light engine so I would lean towards the Formovie. Plus, the fact that it is 1100 ANSI lumens is also double, so if daytime vieing in a concern, you have to look at the FM. I am still incredibly impressed with the Dangbei but my home theatre is completely light controlled and dark so lower lumens are not an issue for me.

    Is it worth the extra $1000 vs the emotn N1?

    • @OlyGoalie67
      @OlyGoalie67  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a definite improvement for sure but its only $639 on Amazon Canada right now, so it's only about $200 more so definitely worth that price difference!
