This song will always hit so close to home for me. I'm only 15 as of right now, but I've really been put through a lot of things. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's true. I was so unsupervised when it came to being online, especially while I was younger. I met so many bad "Friends" online. People who have forever impacted my life, and became life lessons for me. The words to this song make me so emotional. The first time I heard this song, it made me feel so many things, the lyrics were so similar, it was surreal for me. But it became too much for me, and I ended up suppressing the memory of it after not listening for awhile. But this is an undeniably great song. I tried searching for this song for weeks and weeks. till one day, it randomly played on my liked songs playlist. And now I can't help but come back to it to listen, and let the words resonate within me. I feel heard with this song. I'm not sure what the true meaning is behind the words- But for me, the meaning is my truth, and what I've felt and been through. Being ignored and my feelings downplayed, people I loved being inconsiderate of my feelings dispite the love and care I showed. And time I gave, just so they knew they mattered. Being forgotten and replaced like I was nothing. Whenever I had a good friendship going, it would end like the rest- with my friend getting bored of me and ditching me. Id catch myself rubbing off of other people, replicating their so liked personalities, just to try and justify myself to others. To be seen by someone. For someone to be just as dedicated to caring and loving like me. It feels selfish to wish for a friend like that. And as of late, it feels like im going down that same route With my current friends.
