Tip for the Mute City nisc, and some niscs in general : release your MT a bit earlier than that and then hop, it makes it so your character has the time to accelerate to top MT speed for the jump so the jump goes further, and makes it so your MT runs out in mid- air before you touch the ramp which is off-road, otherwise you lose all your speed like here and you would need 10 coins to make it. This off-road mechanic also applies to other niscs as well : the Mario Kart Stadium shroomless ramp cut and the shroomless cut after, the Peach Gardens shroomless cut for example : you need to delay your MT release and your hop so you don't lose all your speed immediately when you hit the off road. Because yeah hitting the off road when in a MT boost makes you slow down faster than when you have none idk why.
