- Hello there! Here’s a list of some of the best tasting vegan products you can find at German supermarkets - Vegan Cheeses, Vegan Chicken Nuggets, Snacks, Ice Cream and more. Leave a vegan product you recommend in the comments ✨
Throughout the video I made sure to add little notes telling you where exactly you find those products - keep in mind that the same store might carry different products different cities, or stuff might be sold out for a while - so if you can’t find it anywhere outside - ordering online should always be an option :)

Fun fact: Hafermilch ist so süß, weil durch das Erhitzen lange Kohlehydratketten aufgespalten werden und dann als Zucker vorliegen. Deswegen steht hinten auf der Nährwerttabelle trotzdem bis zu 8g Zucker/Liter, auch wenn kein Zucker in der Zutatenliste aufgeführt wird, ähnlich wie bei Fruchtsaft.
Und wieder was gelernt.
Oft werden auch Enzyme zugefügt die noch weiter aufspalten

Alle Dänen fahren nach Deutschland, um billige Getränke und Süßigkeiten zu kaufen - nur nicht ich. Ich fahre nach Deutschland um vegane Produkte zu kaufen. Deutschland hat im Vergleich zu Dänemark eine fantastische Auswahl an veganen Produkten und die Fahrt nach Flensburg lohnt sich immer. :)

@@ilayda6008 Ich glaube nicht, dass man Lebensmittel von Deutschland nach Dänemark liefern bekommen kann, aber vielleicht irre ich mich? Jedenfalls ist es sehr normal für Dänen zum Handel an die Grenze zu fahren. Es dauert ca. 1 Stunde und 20 Minuten um nach Flensburg zu fahren. Ich mache es auch nur ein paar Mal im Jahr, aber es ist großartig mit der riesigen Auswahl an veganen Produkten. Meistens fahre ich auch mit Freunden und Familie zusammen, und es wird dann ein Tagesausflug. :)
dänemark hat echt wenige vegane/vegetarische produkte! auch in restaurants gibt es meistens wenig auswahl, außer man ist in kopenhagen oder aarhus... wenn ich sage ich bin vegetarierin, bekomme ich in dänemark fisch... wirklich merkwürdig, in schweden oder finnlans ist vegetarismus/veganismus viel größer

I’m crying from my bed in Macedonia because we have none of this deliciousness. My life was fine without all these products but then I spent the entirety of last summer in Germany and I indulged in soo many amazing vegan products and now I can’t wait to go back to Germany because my life is empty without all those cheeses and burgers and ice-creams and sweets. I’d love to see a part 2 tho, just to prolong my misery and to make me come to Germany quicker.
"Capitalism! But back to the nuggets." That made me laugh really hard because that's legitimately how I am. I'd definitely love to see more parts to this. Especially when you dive into cereals and chocolate.

I think ricotta dolce would be an adequate description (although Quark isn‘t necessarily sweet if you don‘t sweeten it yourself)

And yet I managed to buy and eat Toppas because I haven't had it in a decade and when I disposed of the packaging I saw that it contains feckin' gelatin.... :(

You have to be careful of the sources of some vitamins that can come from animals

I would love to see "Aufstriche" and your favorite hummus ect. I personally love the Mango, Papaya and Curry one from Rewe.

The best hummus is the falafel flavoured one from Aldi Süd 🤤
Ich mache Hummus meistens selbst, dazu einfach ein Glas Kichererbsen mit etwas Sojajoghurt oder Tahini und Wasser pürieren, mit Salz, Pfeffer und Zitronensaft würzen. Für etwas Abwechslung getrocknete Tomaten oder Basilikum hinzufügen :)
Ich mag die Aufstriche von Zwergenwiese sehr gerne. Am besten schmeckt Tomate Basilikum.
Neu gefunden: Bei Denn's gibt es einen Aufstrich mit Avocado und einen mit Paprika im Glas (leider habe ich dir genaue Marke vergessen). Unglaublich lecker 😍

Tu peux commander aussi en allemagne et te faire livrer. Par exemple sur alles-vegetarisch.de. ils font une livraison même pour les produits frais. Sinon ca depend ou t' habite, ca vaut le coup d'y aller au kaufland, lidl, rewe, edeka, globus en allemagne a la frontiere il y a vraiment un grand choix.
@@aminaaminouch3094 c'est vrai, mais je suis plutôt contre le fait de commander de la nourriture sur internet. Je suis vegan en premier lieu pour l'impact économique de l'élaboration de produits animaliers, alors j'évite de rajouter de la pollution inutilement :)
Et étant donné que j'habite en Bretagne, aller faire mes courses en Allemagne s'annonce assez compliqué haha

Moi non plus je ne commande pas de la nourriture sur Internet mais nous sommes situee a la frontiere de l'allemagne. Dommage qu'en france il n'y a pas beaucoup de produits vegan. Je conseille quand meme de demander dans les magasins a un responsable. Car les magasins en general fonctionnent avec la demande des clients... desolee pour mon francais mais je suis allemande et je dois encore beaucoup apprendre 😅

Margot Cobat depending on where in France you live a quick visit to Germany might be an option to stock up 🤷🏼♀️. My friends and I sometimes take a trip to France to get some stuff that we can’t find in Germany. But we just live a 3 hour drive away from France (on the Autobahn 😜)...
So many people in the comments are complaining about Poland, but there has been a big improvement over the last few years. In Lidl you can find loads of non-dairy milk options, yogurts, vegan spreads, tofu, ready meals, some ice cream etc. every large grocery store carries some vegan food. And the oat milk from Rossmann is the best, it foams up so nicely for lattes.
It’s really not that bad. I live in a big city, though, so the options might be more limited in smaller towns.
I can recommend the "Made with Luve" Stracciatella Yoghurt, it is soo good! Since I've seen so many commercials of "The vegetarian butcher" I tried the burger patties that resemble chicken and I was pleasantly surprised by them and shocked as well because they really taste like chicken..

First international to Germany here and definitely needed this video. This is a bit more comforting to see there are quite a few vegan options
Try vegan magnum(it tastes exactly the same as the non vegan one)
Edeka's own brand has this kind of "Lioner Wurst" that tastes just like the one you would get as a kid at the butcher's store for free.
And the "Lotus" Spread is more than just delicious haha
Lidl has also a new flavour in their ice cream popsicles... caramel with oatmilk. It tastes like Magnum Gold without the chocolate. :p

Lidl recently came out with the "next level burger" as well - at least in Italy, although we didn't get the nuggets yet - and it's really good in my opinion... considering it's kind of a "beyond burger" knock off it's pretty inexpensive too! Pretty excited to get their ice cream bars that come out next week, they look incredible! And yes valsoia is an italian brand :) their ice creams are all so amazing! Germany however has some of the best vegan cheeses that I've ever tested by far! I was lucky to try pretty much all the ones you've mentioned and they are indeed spot on! Agree that alpro, provamel and oatly are the best vegan milks on the market! :)

Almost all of the Rügenwalder Mühle products I’ve tried so far have tasted so much like real meat that it genuinely scared me lmao they are so good tho!! Especially love the Veganer schinkenspicker mit grillgemüse and the fleischsalat. Even my mum is obsessed with these two and she’s already picky about them when they’re real meat. Also I love the räuchertofu from Aldi and the regular tofu from Lidl 😍 loved this vid!!

Ugh I looooooved this video! Totally need a part 2! I live in Germany but still, this was 💯 enjoyable to watch! I think you missed: Linis bites (it's like healthy chocolate bars, reallyyyy good, DM), vegan "toffee" from Alnatura and the coconut almond butter from Rapunzel (it's like liquid raffaelo) plus, about the yoghurt: rewe beste Wahl is new and I really like it! And there's also a vegan kefir (by sojade, I believe) totally worth a try as well!

I love Valsoia Ice Creams as well, in Spain they sell cherry cones that are awesome, and tiramisu, pistachio and truffle tubs that are super creamy and tasty they also have Nutella, pizza and heavy cream

The Best food I have ever eaten was when I visited Berlin, I was so pleasantly surprised by the wide range of vegan products 🌱 I want to move there for the food (and art of course😋)
Btw i love the crunchy peas, got them from Famila and Edeka and they come in three flavors!!☺️
In Österreich ist die Auswahl an veganen Produkten zwar auch sehr gut und man bekommt wirklich alles was man braucht und will, aber in Deutschland scheint es wirklich nochmals einen Level weiter zu sein! :D
Interessantes Video und übrigens sehr cool, dass du die Vego-Gläser auch als Trinkglas verwendest, gibt's bei mir auch schon einige so!
Love that video! Thanks for trying all that and your hard work. I love that you directly integrated the foods into recipes. I mostly eat cheap vegan food like pasta or currys because I am on low budget, but that made me blind for all this great stuff... I will definitely try some of them!!

Unser lidl hat einfach nichts veganes und aldi fast nichts. Sad stuff wenn man in einem kaff wohnt xD aber rewe rettet mich regelmäßig mit allen ersatz produkten, vor allem das peanut cookie vanille eis 😍 die mühlen nuggets liebe ich auch
Bei mir auch nicht so viel wie in anderen Städten. Ich sag mir dann immer, dass ich ja das Zeug was es gibt ja dann für einen guten Grund kaufe, damit die mehr in ihr Sortiment aufnehmen ^^
Hab mich auch richtig gewundert weil ich die Sachen in unserem Lidl noch nie gesehen hab 😣😅
In unserem Lidl (25.000 Einwohner Stadt) gibt es bei Lidl fast das komplette Rügenwalder Sortiment und selbst bei meinem Freund aufm Dorf mit ca 800 Einwohnern findet man mindestens (!) 3 verschiedene Rügenwalder Produkte, fast jede Alpro Joghurt Sorte und vegane TK Pizza.
Das scheint nur von der Nachfrage abzuhängen.
In meinem Dorf haben wir keine Möglichkeit etwas zu kaufen aber das Städtchen zu dem wir gehören hat dann doch alle Läden abgedeckt man findet auch einiges aber nur das ganz exotische Zeug wie Weizengluten gibt es nicht

Let me share a great discovery that I made the other day: drizzle some of the coconut almond date blend (Rapunzel Kokos Mandel Dattel Creme) on a bowl of ice cream and allow to dry for maybe thirty seconds or so - it hardens as it cools down and makes for an amazing sort of "crust". It's soooo good

We in the Czech Republic have the same shops as you (e.g. Lidl), but the variety of vegan products is apparently way lower than in Germany. Hopefully, they will very soon offer their alternatives even in other countries.
True, many of these things are hard to find here or more expensive than in Germany... I especially miss Schakalode Monster chocolate candies (basically vegan Lentilky). We have great variations of tofu, tempeh and seitan from local brands, though! I honestly missed Sunfood and Kalma tofu stuff a lot when I was in Germany. I'd spend so much money on ready-made fake meat stuff there, because the smoked tofu just had weird texture... first world vegan problems 😂 I want to live somewhere with Czech tofu, German vegan candy and ice cream, and a full range of Oatly products like in Sweden...

My brother and I tried the vegan Fischstäbchen from Aldi this week and they were soooo good! 😍 The vegan majo/ remoulade that came with them was great as well 👌🏻
To all former Leberwurstlovers: check out the one made out of lentils from the brand HEDI (organic markets, Edeka). So good! 👌🏼

i have been waiting for this video! 😍 some german vegan products you left out that are AMAZING: Creme Vega (tastes just like creme fraiche), the Edeka vegan lyoner, Edeka „veganer Brotbelag nach Art Fleischwurst“, Edeka vegan Mayo, and my absolute favourite secret tip: The „Knack & Back“ 6 Crossaints that are in a twist-to-open package for you to bake at home are fully vegan too. And the most affordable oat milk that still tastes good (for someone like me who goes through a package in two days) is the BioBio Haferdrink at Netto :) Oh and if you have not tried the vegan Pesto Baslilico by Barilla you def should!

it depends on where u live, she’s from berlin and has loads more variety of products and even vegan restaurants; i’m from the south of germany and don’t have that many alternatives and i haven’t found a vegan restaurant near me too :(
laura h depends on where you’re from in the south, too. I’m from Stuttgart but study in Tübingen (both in the south) and in both cities there are plenty of vegan options at restaurants as well as supermarkets. :)
In Freiburg and Konstanz there are also a lot of vegan options and restaurant. It think it depends on the amount of students/vegans in a city :-)

I loved the video, please do a part two! I love those Veganz protein bars (and you will have to mention the Veganz chocolates in the part two!) and the hummus chips. Also, Valsoia does a very nice hazelnut spread that tastes, at least to me, a lot like Nutella. I will be looking for the products you mentioned in Portugal, I hope I can find them!
The vegetarian butcher has tricked me before with their schnitzel, I love the nuggets, and just supposed that if those are vegan the schnitzel must be too. So disappointing, but I'll continue eating the nuggets because yum!

Es gibt Quark und Skyr in Großbritannien aber sie heißen nur "Quark" und "Skyr"
