Basil thinks that Sunny made HS Basil like that cause he thought that he was annoying, but Sunny actually liked that version of him.
I guess his Statement would have been something along the lines of "I [don't even know what to say]... You Didn't [annoy me]? I never [even said anything like that]... uh... You know I'm not good at [words?/people?/ showing that i like you?] But you didn't [annoy me]. I mean, I've always appreciated it

BABIL, THE FORBIDDEN ONE!
For those who have trouble understanding Sunny's random weird windows noises: I think he was trying to say something along the lines of Basil didn't annoy him, he appreciated Basil's presence, and he has trouble telling people how he feels. But Sunny was either trying to say all 3 at once and it wouldn't come out right, or as he meant to say he has trouble expressing himself. The only thing Sunny really got to say is he appreciates Basil, which is why Basil got a lil flustered
