We have been doing some research on how Sade came into being. Evidently all started for Sade at the Hull Royal Disabled Club in 1981when my father, a singer himself performed at the Hull Royal Disabled Club in 1981 and bumped into Stuart Mathewmans mother. She was a volunteer there and informed him that Stuart was moving to London. I had been in London for a year then with my band and made contact with Stuart and we both auditioned for Pride where we met Helen Adu for the first time. However Sade wasn't complete until I explained the whereabouts of Paul Denman to SM and we both went to invite him to join Pride which he did. PD was about to go back to Hull and pick up his old job at the BAE factory. So you could say that my father and myself had been very influential in bringing Sade together in 1981. I am sure Helen will thank us at some point in the future when she realises how grateful she is to us for her career starting in 1981.
Totally interesting history! Thank you for posting such marvelous captured artistic events. It is often misunderstood by fans of music how central and important the Drummer is. A band will not achieve superlative artistry without a magnificent Drummer being the bottom foundation, as you are. Sade could express, and evolve with your work behind her. As the vocalist, Sade would require a magnificent Drummer to flourish and polish, and you were right there.
Yeah worked out I was putting in all the skips and stuff as I had scaled my kit down...I was very creative as a drummer..and would have added lots on toms live etc..
I don't think the vocal is nearly as good as the final finished version the band are bang on pardon the pun but Sade is unpolished and not quite found her 'thing style wish. I'm sorry you were treated like a dish rag( Premier player here also).
まだ、あらけづりな彼女のスムースオペレーター、貴重な歌声を聞かせていただきありがとうございます✨
I hear the raw cut. Appreciate the concept. Nice 🎼 & Vocals.
Sade vocal chops very cool in this one.
Very small club cozy close quarters vibe here.

Not sure she's maybe working off the original song..
I think she says, "...returning forever...you later confess...let luck be your charm...and love be addressed..."
@@patgreco2098 thank you very much
