I actually bought 3D all-stars at an actual physical store, same place I bought my Switch, same place I bought my copy of Animal Crossing at release...
People always think living in a smaller city is a bad thing, but it sure is convenient when there's scalpers about.

This guy gets it! I called my small town walmart last night to see if they were going to have any copies. They had 40 ready to be put out this morning. Walked in and bought a copy.
Same. Honestly don't understand why people are trying to scalp when you can get the game digitally. Not to mention I'm pretty sure the games will be sold separately later on after March.

Would definitely rather have a 1080p 60fps Switch than a 4k 30fps one.
Yep, 60fps is superior no matter what. The only way to do 4k at all now is to have a high end gaming PC with a pretty expensive GPU (costing more than 2x what the entire Switch does). None of the consoles have ever been able to do 4k...for the PS4 Pro and XB1X they lied and faked it with upscaling. Now, there is nothing wrong with having upscaled 4k output, for 4k TV's (because that will look better than having the TV do the upscaling). But that isn't news worthy, at all. The Switch already upscales whatever resolutions that the games run at to 1080p when docked and 720p when handheld. The technology does not exist to make a handheld device, running on battery, render anything at 4k. Unless you want your battery to last like 10 minutes.

I'd happily play my games at 800x480 if I could get 120fps or more
I'm not sure why someone would want a 4K Switch anyway. With the other consoles, it makes sense because most AAA games are detailed enough to where they benefit from a boost in pixel count, but the same can't be said for the majority of the Switch's library. As for an FPS-focused Switch, that has problems of it's own. For example, what do you do with games that already run at 60 FPS? Add 120 hz support? Not to mention the fact that changing the FPS cap in a game is not always as simple as changing a few lines of code, especially for exclusives that were entirely built around their FPS target.
Yeah it would be nice to have a switch that doesnt have terrible framerate and often times below 1080p lol
I’m doing fine with the switch lite. I bought it this year in February I’ve played MK11, astral chains, and many other games. People need to stop bitching so much about FPS. Let technology advance at its own time

I’ve been trying to get one since before lockdown really since they came out but there wasn’t really a good enough reason until I knew animal crossing was coming out and wasn’t able to get one until literally yesterday. My reasons for getting one when it came out was really zelda and Odyssey but I have a Wii U so I couldn’t justify zelda for switch and was just able to justify it. There are many games that I want now that are only on switch so I could justify it in like February but they were sold out.
I live in Argentina and bought one in january just before lockdown and prices skyrocketed, so... since then I’ve played with my son Odissey, Breath of the wild, dragon’s trap, Rayman, Bayonetta 1 and 2, astral chain, sega megadrive Classics and Luigi’s mansion 3, well, I don’t know what to say...

(this is obviously a joke btw, i don’t even have the game)
For anyone who doesn’t know: DLSS technology is upscaling technology that takes a lower resolution image (like something at 480 or 720) and “re draws” the pixels in between using dedicated cores and AI. It’s fake 4K, but it’s much easier on hardware. And some people say the difference is hard to notice.
With DLSS 2.0 it actually most of the time looks better and has more detail than actual 4k.
@@freehigh9231 It's much less taxing to run at a lower resolution then have the AI upscale it, so yes it is possible but would depend on a per game basis. Nintendo games for example scale very well where as the witcher they may have to go back and add in more detailed textures(I believe they were removed to keep size down, could be wrong).
@@freehigh9231 DLSS 2.0 must be incorporated in the game at it's core for it to run in a DLSS 2.0 compatible machine.. So it's a matter of if devs want to add such fucntionality and work to their old games or just make a new one that takes full potential of it..
Regarding Witcher it could be possible if CD Project decided to put on the work and money to add what they removed graphics wise..

I'm kind of surprised that more people aren't talking about the return of Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game. I know it's decently niche, but the fact that the game is legally playable after Ubisoft pulling it from the eshops and sitting on the rights for years while the original creator himself fought to get it back is a straight miracle for the whole fanbase.

I got a copy of Mario 3D All Stars just fine at Target. It even came with a magnet set. There were several more copies on the shelf.

You know I think a legend of zelda series like the mandalorian or the witcher would be amazing, it could be an episodic series and at the end there is an epic battle (this could be any game like breath of the wild or ocarina of time) and they could even make second seasons for if the first season was ocarina of time the second could be majora's mask.

There is a reason why I preordered 3D All-Stars the second I knew about it. I know that whenever Nintendo says "Limited," it's like a dogwhistle for the scalpers. Got my copy, I'm happy, I finally get to own 64 and Sunshine, and in a stellar format.
