- Deadwood - The Very Best of Al Swearengen - Al talks Business - Someone complained to TH-cam about a brief boob flash and they removed the original clip - This is modified so you don't get your 2 second jollies.
Every word he says is gold. The most treasured character dialogue in the history of television.
The Holy Mackerel agree
Still one of my favorite shows. HBO made a big mistake not doing season 4. The movie was good but way over due. I have a painting of Al on the balcony of the Gem in my living room. It really ties the room together.
Dude miss this show so much because of the dialogue. Just best I seen ever. This show and the Eire were amazing to me. 2 best shows ever
Every fucking word form Als foul foul mouth is solid gold and diamond studded
“In my declining years I think of operating a small joint catering to specialists exclusively. To let them know they’re among their own maybe I’ll operate from the corner hanging upside down like a fucking bat “
Priceless Al Swearingen
“Specialists always pay extra and they never make any trouble.”
That line always got me. Always got the sense that Miles appreciated his time working under Al, to the point where he probably would have bailed on the robbery scheme to stay and work his way up if he was on his own. That part where he struggles to say goodbye.
I think Al had that way about him, making people feel like they’re around a guy who knows what he’s doing.
@b0nkert0ns7 Brillian observation. He had a way of making people feel needed and heard . When Tom Nutall felt guilty about Bullock's son getting killed he talked him out of selling his place.
Best show ever. Best characters ever. The end. 💯
Taken as a whole, the finest performance I have ever seen.
+James Fellers absolutely
no doubt
Absolutly magnificent
I absolutely love this series. I wasn't big on the ending but overall I love it. It may be the most underrated series ever.
No one was big on the ending because it didn't actually end! Canceled before its time like so many other quality high-end TV shows.
That said, if it were made today it'd be on its 8th season and Al, having fallen befoul a time-traveler, would find himself in the 23rd century, selling cooze and booze in a saloon on the third moon of Lambda-Persei 12!
Let's be thankful it ended on a relative high note.
The movie is coming next month yes!
HBO's *"The Wire"* was the best I've ever seen.
The movie SUCKED
@@nosorab3 I sense hyperbole but if Milch was still show runner rest assured it would have stayed it's path true and right. Man's brilliant.
me and a friend of mine on the really slow days at work would start this up and try to get at least 1 episode in if we could before it got busy again i must have watched this entire series about 5 times and i must say it is one of the best shows i have ever watched!
Almost 10 times now. So layered.
“I wasn’t offering it personally”
0:45 - “Dan, dismantle the titty corner and setup a poker table”. Funniest stuff I’ve ever heard in a tv series 😂😂😂
"Swedgen fuckin' gets it! Swedgin doesn't give a FUCK!"
Ian McShane is one of the great humans.
“Back to Chink’s Alley, Wu. Fall to your fucking prayers!”
you have to do the exaggerated hand gestures too
This character is the best evil bad ass scoundrel to ever walk in front of a camera .
The most hard acting softhearted man ever
On Management: "Opinions solicited differ from ones' freely voiced." -Al Swearengen
I just loved Al. His use of the English language is just beautiful.
Watching that was like getting a MBA.
That last line is absolutely true. You cannot beat it.
Whom ever complained about the brief nudity needs to get put a down payment on a life.
6:08 And the ladies in the BG initiate a round of rock, paper, scissors...
Great writing and great acting
"As a base of operations, you cannot beat a fucking saloon".
Truer words have never been spoken. Empires rise and fall over drinks in clouds of cigar smoke. Thus has it always been. Thus shall it ever be.
"...Hanging upside down, like a fucking bat." I know Ian didn't write the words, but who could've delivered them like that?
"No, those are the days to my f*cking left." Lol
lol
And then there Dan. 😅
- Those are the days behind us
- No, those are the days to my fucking left
Damn writing is good!
"I wanna know who cut the cheese" HAHAHAHAHA!
what season and episode was that?
@@BloodTepes26 Its early in season 1. Dont remember the exact episode.
Us Finns labeled him "Swear Engine" but that's a modest estimation.
I know a few Canadian Finns, they rarely swear, Finns remind me of the Swiss.
@@tommyodonovan3883 They probably do in their own language. Unless they belong to a religious cult
“SWINJIN FUCKIN GETS IT!!!, SWINJIN DOESNT GIVE...A..FUCK!”
I loved this series !
I have a nephew who is descended from "Swinjin".
He really was that cold blooded and you wanted him on your side.
He was actually far crueler than depicted. Boom towns and mining camps all over the west all had their own "Swegens".
He was savvy enough to realize that the real money was not in mining - it was in separating the money from the miners.
The same thing happened in the Bakken field oil boom. I know lots of guys who worked as roughnecks, only to blow it all on overpriced housing, booze, drugs, and hookers shipped in from all over.
I’d put The Sopranos over Deadwood as far as the better show. But I gotta take Al Swearengen as the better badass character over Tony Soprano. And I say this as an Italian born in Newark, NJ.
He would be a hit in Silicon Valley.
I want to be Al Swearengen.
Nicholas Julian You and me both, brother.
+Silver Snail14 All men, down inside...want to be Al Swearengen...
In my mind, I am Al Swearengen. That gets me closer than you.
@@zirconarmadillo And do all women want to have him? Well, I can't speak for all women, but I want him!
I did too until I researched the real Albert Swearengen and realized he died penniless in Denver. lol
Everybody was good in the series but honestly his scenes were the most looked forward to. And he was the boss. He'd been there since that camp had started and done a lot of brutal s*** to maintain control. Some right some wrong. But the man sleeps at night lucky him
"In the heat you've confused me with Tim Driscoll." "I think we're both aware Al that Driscoll is no longer in camp. And because I believe you colluded with Tim Driscoll, and perhaps were in cahoots with other parties as well, I require satisfaction from you." "It's the heat again Brom, I don't collude and I don't cahoot." I pride myself on being relatively well versed in the English language but David Milch isn't from this planet. He's unreal.
I fuckin lost it when al talkin to wu. Swegen gets it swegen doesn't give a fuck! 😂😂😂😂😂
Best character best show EVER
ps it's no shocker nothing from the movie made it in
AL swearengen carried this show big time, it is all about him. I sometimes skipped boring ass bullock's part just to see AL.
Al's is a much showier role (played brilliantly) but over the many times I have watched this series, I find I have gotten to engage in most of the major characters as well. I don't think Bullock was boring - he was a powder keg waiting to blow (which did a couple of times). Very complex character.
How was Bullock boring? Olymphants acting is one of the best parts of this show
Hbo were fools for taking this off the air. But sex and the city crap lasted longer. Gtfo
hbo also cancelled Rome, dumbasses!
@@royman311 Allegedly, they weren't quite aware of how profitable DVD sales at the time could be so shows like Deadwood and Rome were prematurely cancelled, although in Rome's case it was an exceedingly expensive show to shoot and it didn't have the viewership of HBO's most popular shows.
6:14 rock paper scissors lol
Should i tell you when i plan to take a shit tomorrow. Damn i love Al
Ian McShane is the best actor, he actually reminds me of me!
Weapons Education we wish
Very full of ourselves huh?
Oh, yeah, Ian McShane reminds me of me too. Except I am much more handsome and have a bigger cock.
You aint shit . your as cool as wu if best
Wonder what his Google reviews are. Lol
I call mine the Jolly Roger.......
A man named Swearengen who swears this much? Please, my father's vasectomy surgeon was named Dr. Stop...
what episode was the one where he said who cut the cheese?
Vlad Tepes do not reapeat back to me what i said in different fucking words
WU!
SWEDGIN!
*HENG DAI!* 🤞
heng fuckin dai !
1:17 I kinda wish we'd got to see him taking a sh*t; that would have made the show perfect! Does anyone agree?
Those who complained shouldn’t be on TH-cam but I suggest Sesame Street or Mr Roger’s neighborhood
Are we sensoring TH-cam now?
Those cocksuckers.
1:50 😂🤣💀
1:47 swinngen
"Someone on YT complained about this nudity"..... pfff rly? This is TH-cam, not Karen-tube lol! Its also the internet, where thé strangest fetishes and profanity's can be found.... ITs the old saying of 'If you cant take the heat, stay out of the furnace"
Thumbs down 👎 because it left out his most famous speech....
"Pain or damage don't end the world, or despair, or fuckin' beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man and give some back"
Is that "Business" talk?
I eagerly await your contribution.
4:06 6:09 😂😂😂
I wanna know who cut the cheese.
You'll be over the balcony face down in the mud.
@@wettexan what episode was that?
@@BloodTepes26 S1 E3
Tony Soprano couldve used a bit of advice from this charasmatic cuthroat crimeboss.
