In 2017, a strange object entered our solar system. When it showed some unusual properties that baffled scientists, a Harvard professor named Avi Loeb suggested it might have been something unlike anything else we've seen. An alien spacecraft.

Professor Loeb has been a repeat interviewee on the Event Horizon channel and is always worth a listen. But to be clear, he's not strictly claiming aliens have visited. He rather makes some very good arguments in terms of not discounting it.

THESE OBJECTS are NOT of Alien origin, but CELESTIAL
if these people don't know about Dr. Norman R. Bergrun, they just know NOTHING at all, I have found images of objects as big and bigger than the Sun itself, in the SOHO (Solar Satellite) image theater you can find the SOHO link on the net, this is the date, but it's not the only date that I found incredible images, 1999/12/12 at minute 10:42
People just don't know the real truth, the Military Industrial Complex already conquered Antigravity long ago, but there is another human civilization, it's hard to even consider something like that, now their knowledge has been obtained from crashes and hand-me-downs, now these objects never crash, are unapproachable by humans or Aliens, the aliens don't even know how they work, but what Dr. Bergrun found is so fascinating, he was one of only 5 scientists who could do a drawing of the telemetry, and all the other sensors data from the orbiters and show what they saw where they did their detection, in his book RINGMAKERS OF SATURN, he showed how these objects shape moons, asteroids, comets and control the Sun output, so it won't destroy this planet>>>

Tyson has jumped the shark. Saw him talk about science all being about consensus on some podcast 😂
Science doesn't care about consensus - there have been plenty of incidents in the past where the guy going against the grain, ended up being right. Science can prove your claims right regardless of what previous "consensus" may have existed.
Science is about what can be objectively proven to be true through a repeatable process / experiments yielding expected and predicted results.
That's literally all it is. A theory is either correct and it yields expected results, or it is wrong and it doesnt.

Obviously! People got to stop referring to the unexplained as "supernatural". All that is real is natural. Exists in nature. By definition there exists NO SUCH THING as "the supernatural".
One definition that I like to use is "non-standard science" defined by "investigation of consciousnesses not existing in physical bodies as we know them". e.g. poltergeist e.g. reported alien technology to be able to teleport/dematerialize

You missed two important points concerning Oumuamua: 1) It changed its trajectory after passing Sol. I know most astronomers assume that alteration was due to the normal out-gassing typical of comets...but suppose it wasn't. That change in trajectory took it into a hyperbolic trajectory which tracked closer to Earth's orbit, than it otherwise would have been. 2) That new trajectory, on October 14, brought it to within 24,200,000 kilometers (15,040,000 miles) of Earth, or as Ensign Chekov once said, "Close enough to smell them." At least close enough to collect a vast amount of radio signals on many frequencies, and with sufficiently advanced optical instruments (well, better than anything Earth has, at any rate), do a very detailed surface scan of the planet. There is also a third point: that it accelerated on leaving the star system... (Oh, and one other, possibly insignificant point: the President announced the formation of the U.S. Space Force, just a few months after the possible alien spy mission...I wonder what they knew that we don't?) The details on Oumuamua are taken from the Wikipedia article.

Ive always found it odd how everyone seems, to a degree, to be interested in alien life, but when someone, such as this scientist, does something to try and prove, or get evidence of aliens, it goes quickly to them being crazy, or not being a good or credible scientist. Why is that? How are we supposed to figure these things out if we dont try and fail?

We have a fear-based culture. In regard to extraterrestrial visitation, our fear is of being ridiculed for showing curiosity in it. So to avoid the ridicule, we quickly set about preemptively ridiculing others who have had experiences or show enthusiasm for the subject. I'm just saying, if I had a society that could do it, a meteor hollowed out to become a space vehicle kinda makes sense to me. You use the materials you encounter out there for construction, this simplifies construction.
Also, if it is a vehicle, and it really did pop in on us and bounced out before identification could be fully made, then we should be worried.
Scout vehicles and personnel use this method to "put eyes on" a target.

They are finally talking about them but there is much more going to come out, we have not been alone here for a long time.
Those Tic Tac ships can crash into the ocean at 20000mph and does not even effect them, can move underwater faster than the speed of sound and can turn invisible.

I trained 8 years after high school to be a scientist, but chose other things for my life's work. I am not a scientist, but have a scientist's education. It is impossible for it to be outgassing caused by solar radiation.
    1) The only way for that to happen and not be observed is if it was hydrogen (the only outgassed element we would not have been able to observe) in which case it would have lost all its hydrogen when it came close to the sun.
    2) If it was outgassing then the object would have needed to lose a significant portion of its mass/size to accelerate at the rate it did, but it did not lose any size.
    3) If it was outgassing due to solar radiation then that would have occurred when it was close to the sun (approaching and departing), not suddenly occur when it was millions of miles away (ie. after it was finished observing the inner planets).
    4) If it was outgassing then the rate of spin would necessarily have to change, which it did not.
The mental gymnastics it takes to accept that outgassing caused THIS object to accelerate away, never mind accounting for the trajectory it maintained while accelerating away, by scientists who should know better is outstanding. Ocam's Razor works when applied correctly. If the simplest explanation is artificial propulsion caused an odd object to accelerate out of our solar system, then that's Ocam's Razor, not trying to jam multiple conflicting natural phenomena into one situation to satisfy your inability to accept that non-human intelligence is engaging our reality.

You have to take everything Avi Loeb says with a grain of salt. Where most scientists try not to jump to the conclusion of "aliens" until they've exhausted every other possible answer, Avi goes there as his first hypothesis to test. The big problem with this is that "it could be aliens" gets a lot of headlines but the inevitable "oh, no, turns out it was dust" doesn't get any headlines.
Even before Loeb's hypothesis was disproved (which it was), every anomaly about Oumuamua could be explained by "it's an interstellar object. We've only seen objects native to our solar system before now".

He comes across as very scientifically based, he contests the various attempts by other astrophysicists to explain Oumuamua as a comet or 'dust bunny' and always couches his explanation within a hypothetical context. I'm sure he enjoys the celebrity that his heterodox position brings and the accompanying book sales but one always has the sense that he is a seeker of truth through scientific method. You did omit his plans to trawl the ocean floor off Papua New Guinea where an interstellar object (CNEOS 2014-01-08) with strange density crashed in 2014.

The cigar shape and the trajectory change was interesting but the out gassing idea is pretty straight forward for the trajectory change. I've been shooting standard broadcast video for years and found that recent developments in video tech can allow you to do this. You will need three ultra high definition Go pro cameras, cheap tripods, lights, your audio equipment, and a good desktop computer set up for editing. Adobe Premiere and Avid work well.
Set up your studio the way you want; turn everything on; slate the cameras and audio and go. When you are finished, you can zoom these ultra high definition cameras whilst in post production edit, and do camera takes as you would in a studio when all three cams are synchronised and running simultaneously..

There's a few issues with the ET hypothesis. It was travelling through space with a tumbling motion. I've never seen the Enterprise or Millenium Falcon travel through space this way. If it was a solar sail as suggested by Avi Loeb why would it tumble towards the Sun? Could you get a lightweight sheet of material to tumble towards an operating fan? Personally I don't think so. It came a long way just to fly past and not stop to say hello. It didn't fly-by particularly close to Earth, an obviously synthetic electromagnetic noise source. Perhaps it had a solar wind as well as a gravitational assist from the Sun on its way out. A spacecraft would most likely have had acceleration away from the Sun that was unambigously technological. Every radio telescope on Earth was pointed at it, including the ones operated by the SETI institute... and they heard nothing. My two bobs worth, for what it's worth, it was just a rock.

I think an argument in favour of it simply being an object of natural origin is one of probabilities. Particularly as a counter to the argument that this is part of a network of objects intended as waypoints or something of that nature - you could get a very rough idea of how many of these there must be and their spacing based on the fact that we observed one in the relatively short period of time that we’ve had the capability to do so. In which case there should be a lot more of these out there to watch for.
Additionally, if we’ve actually found one alien artifact, it just makes the Fermi Paradox more paradoxical - if intelligent life arose twice in a relatively small region of space then why aren’t we seeing evidence of that all over the place.
Note that this isn’t intended to speak poorly of your video - I think you did a good job trying to report on someone’s opinion. While I don’t agree with that person’s opinion, I understand it’s important to be confronted by and be willing to reason about opinions that don’t align with your own.

How many decades will the Swedish Nobel Prize Committee and Pope Francis keep my sensational discovery and my law of 01/17/95 secret from mankind? I completely unraveled the UFO phenomenon 28 years ago on 1/17/1995. Discoverers of extraterrestrials and contact holders of star spaceships since 01/17/95. Johann Zdebor

As an Air Force fighter pilot, I have never seen or have any my fellow Pilots ever seen a flying saucer, I didn't say UFO, I said Flying saucer and there's a big difference!

@@rebeltvr6046 . If I saw anyting, I would have said so! Not one fighter pilot, or Pilot and we rub elbows with a lot of Pilots, has ever seen a flying saucer! You know what UFO means, look at the first letter, unidentified! It means you have no idea what it is! Did you ever see the movie, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL? THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO SEE, THEN I'LL BE A BELIEVER!

Aliens are from the near sky in another dimension that we can't get through yet.
