    I love the look of this quilt. I’d try it out of scraps as a test for myself. Then after a bit of fun sewing and seeing how much I enjoy it. Then I’d try one of my beautiful jelly rolls. I like some tiny blocks. But looking at how many tiny 9-patches. I’ll try
    It of scraps first. Love all things Jenny! Happy sewing!

    I love the new camera angle that shows your stitching from the front of the machine. I think I see a new lens arrangement attached to the front of the machine. I hope you keep this after we are no longer "social distance-ing". It's really helpful.

    I LOVE THIS!!! I was shocked when you started showing the strips and how small they are. I will have to give this a try. Make sure that hubby is not around to ask a million questions while I am trying to work on this. He wonders in when I am sewing and he ask what are you doing!!! Retirement is great but with a couple of wrenches thrown in occasionally! A great quilt to take you mind off of what is going on in the world at this time. Thank you Jenny - you rock!!!!

    • @MissouriQuiltCo
      @MissouriQuiltCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      They are so tiny, but oh so cute! And at least your hubby is taking an interest in your sewing... even if it is a bit disruptive. Keep on sewing, Jan!

    Jenny and team this pattern is awesome! In November 2019 I purchased my first sewing machine from the elderly mom of a friend and started making quilt tops. I have never sewn before except middle School home-ec class. Your you tube videos have taught me how to quilt. I am so grateful!!! I am using the shirt fabric of my late husbands button down shirts. I am making a quilt for each of my children, each of their spouses and each of my seven grandchildren. I have six quilt tops done and two in progress. I think this one will be for one of my daughter in laws. It reminds me of the Irish Chain pattern. This daughter in law is Irish so this is perfect! I can't wait to see my fabric in another quilt!!! I have made Tiny Houses, Lemon Star, a version of the Elephant quilt, wonky stars and several with different block combinations. This is what keeps me busy now. I am working from home and when I finish work I start quilting. Thanks for all your team is doing!!!

    • @MissouriQuiltCo
      @MissouriQuiltCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a lot of quilt tops to make in just 6 months, Dawn! Glad we could be part of your creative journey into quilting and helping out with ideas and options for all those gifts you've been lovingly crafting.

I love your Block magazine and pretty much all that you do at Missouri Star Quilt Company. I live your staff, your family and everything that you do. Your encouragement is contagious!!! MSQC Do you know HOW long I've tried to find a tutorial that Jenny's done that I don't like? Okay.....it's been since I "accidentally" found Missouri Star Quilt Company's website in 2011!!!!
    That's right.....2011!! I can honestly say I've seen a few of the quilt tutorials I would make in a different color etc...but I have as of yet to have found a tutorial that I DIDN'T like...HONEST!!!
    There's so much talent at MSQC it's absolutely amazing!!! Thanks so much for ALL you do MSQC.....and that means all of you! I've never called a business that makes me feel as though my questions are important, no matter what the questions are!!! It seems as though the people on the phone at MSQC have ALL the time in the world to answer my questions, even thought I know that's not true of course but it's great to be treated as a valued customer....it really is. In the 9 yrs I've been watching, buying and dreaming about MSQC's fabrics and other things, I've only called there 3-4 times, and just recently (last week) I called about the current BLOCK magazine....it seems as though it's taking it's "ol' sweet time getting through the mail....but of course we're dealing with a Pandemic, etc. so we have to be patient with the mail of course!
    This is something of course I'm going to try......God Bless everyone at MSQC......and God Bless all of you that have watched the video, read the comments or even commented.
    Let's continue to do our part during this Pandemic. I know it's been hard and even difficult for many of you during this time....and let's all hope that things will get better within time!
    (((((HUGS)))) to all!

      Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin! This is such a crazy time right now, we just have to help each other out as best we can, and that includes being patient with the guys and gals that are delivering the mail... and everyone else that's working to keep things moving. When you make this quilt, we'd love to see it, too!

    These block would be the perfect size for a quilt for a doll's bed. Just make the quilt with tiny blocks for the doll, then make a quilt out of regular sized blocks for the "Mommy" of that lucky doll. I think a little girl and her doll would love to have matching quilts for their beds!

    Unbelievable. I’m a newby quilter with years of home-dec sewing behind me. I’ve only made two quilts (in the last 4 1/2 months) and am thirsting for more. Why did I have to watch this tutorial...so beautiful but am I going to drive my self crazy...I’m dying to try it. I don’t care for navy though so will have to swap colors. Something to contemplate. Btw love Jenny’s approach and attitude similar to me--tend to be a zoomer on the machine from years of lots of yardage coming thru it. Thank you for the tutorial.

    Such a lovely quilt. I enjoy making mini blocks. I usually sew first and then trim to size. It's wasteful but more accurate. I learned this in a Sally Collins class years ago. I'm so glad you mentioned to shorten your stitch length. I find the seams separate if I don't do that. Unlike you, I prefer to line up with the little seams on top, so I have a clear view of which way the seams are laying while I'm piecing. Thanks!
