Did you ever fix this issue?I have same problem when I disconnect gateway I get communication and fan comes on and when disconnected no steady communication instrument cluster sporadically shuts off and fan comes on loud …Another thing my gateway module has 2 plugs connected I see you only have or had 1
some modules need a scn coding which is now done on-line with a Mercedes dealership system, older car's/vans etc could be done up to 2011 with an Xentry Active License , you could get the old module cloned over to a replacement one, providing the numbers match (for hardware compatibility
put the part number in on Google search, then pictures and supplier who are selling this will often post where it is fitted, sometimes the dealership will have a drawing of all connected components.remember not every type of Mercedes will have this system,as there are numerous different models and makes , newer car's have 'Power distributors' under the carpets on both sides and have 120 ohm resistors in parallel, that can be measured with an ohm Meter , check out other Y tube videos on how to do that.

Hi I have the 2005 t1n om647 having can bus communication faulty. Do I need to replace the gateway module?
It can be another module or bad wiring causing communication faults in the network
Is this gateway module a central point where all the can bus commumication from all the modules go through?
