Fabulous idea to have the four bases that fit together like that. Great stuff. Lovely paint work and love the colours you’ve chosen for the four camp guards. The lasso is a really nice touch - made me think of loops of match cord which I know the armies got through in massive quantities. 👍😀
Another great video. Can you tell me where you purchased the bases from please. I definitely want to do a similar project with my Bloody range. Thanks Chris
Really pleased you like them, the bases are from Big Red Bat and you can find them here, let me know if you need any extra info 😁👍 bigredbatshop.co.uk/collections/all/bases
Very nice multi-purpose stands. I’ve been looking at the spare bits on some plastic figure sprues and wondering if I can remove the hands from some extra muskets neatly enough to make some stacks next to barrels and crates with a few little bits like a hat, powder horn, and cartridge pouch.
You should be able to shave them down a bit with a sharp blade, if you can get it low enough then can always stack them that side down, glad you like them mate 😁
Excellent. Your eye for interesting set pieces is second to none. I'm a bit burnt out on ECW at the minute, but I might have a go at one of these for Franco-Prussian War. I picked up some nice bits and pieces from Debris of War at Salute.
Great work Martin. I like the idea of the linked bases it’s a good use for them. If you came across more muskets you could have had a stacked set outside the tent.
I've started to venture into your ECW videos, and as with all your other endeavors you've done an amazing job! I am familiar with the static grass applicators used in model railroading and am interested to know what you use and the application process for the for the "grass"fibers on your basing and vignettes?
Sorry, I missed this comment mate. The house move is in full swing and it's rather manic haha. I use a basic static grass applicator off eBay. I start by stippling PVA on the base and laying down a base of summer grass (4mm) once dry I then apply more PVA in patches and add a mix of 4mm and 2mm dead grass on top, like a highlight
Really like the utility that the basing chosen offers and the models are fantastic. I have been wondering what to do with the cart we had in the goodie bags from CrackCon and will be making it up as an objective for my Napoleonic French :)
That is awesome Martin, a wonderful idea! Might there be additional rules for some bits, cant imagine that gunpowder going up is too healthy for nearby troops! Maybe a new series with your other camps, wouls be great to see your ideas
Mate, that is just fabulous. I've been thoroughly obsessed with ECW for a week now, my finger is itching over the "buy" button.
Do it 😁
Its a brilliant period to get involved in, just make sure you buy some chainmail gloves for handling the pike blocks 😅
those bloody miniatures looks amazing, your painting did them justice
Thanks bud 👍 they are lovely minis, full of character
Great concept for building modular camp/objectives stands.
Thanks, its something that can add alot of character to the tabke, and its fun to make 👍
Great example of telling a story through basing
Thanks 😁👍
Always happy to see this kind of vignette, creative and awesome job on them, they bring the tables to life...👍👍😍
Thanks very much 😁
The camp looks fantastic I like the fact you can separate the bases and change the layout of the camp when you want
Its just trying to find new ways to use the big red bat bases 😁
Those look really great, love the versatility of having it as one single piece or splitting into four objectives.
Appreciate bud thank you 👍😁
I’d love to see more of this kind of stuff. Terrain pieces are always interesting
Cheers mate, I'll probably be doing a few more for various armies 👍

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it. A Franco Prussian one would look ace, maybe an aid station or something 🤔😁
very nice indeed
Cheers mate 👍
Awesome, inspirational as always! 👍🏻
Appreciate it mate 👍
Great idea. I love the fact it’s so versatile. 👍
Thanks 👍😁
Can't wait for this!
Thanks mate 👍
Great stuff Martin; and not ashamed to say an idea I may well pinch...
Haha no problem, go for it 😁

Thanks for checking it out 👍

I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for them, can keep adding 😀
Great work Martin, they look awesome! Great to see a step by step as well :-)
Thanks mate 👍
Great job, that are some nice eyecatchers.
Cheers mate 👍
Looks very impressive Martin 👍
Cheers mate 👍
Really enjoyable watch and glad to know I'm not the only one that suffers from model attrition due to the cat
No you most definitely are not haha 😁👍
Very nice Martin. On the tent base can you remember who supplies the green bush behind the red flowers please ?
The bush and the flowers are from. TAJIMA 1. make some of the best tufts around 👍
@@7thson726 O k thank you hadn't heard of those. They do look very nice. Once Christmas is over I shall be putting an order in Im sure.
Amazing work, gives me ideas for my own armies.
Awesome, what you thinking?
@@7thson726Not sure at this stage, still all in my head.
Looks great!
Thanks mate 👍😁

Looks good, but I think having the powder guarded by guards armed with matchlocks is an accident waiting to happen
I should probably make a large crater 🤔
Great stuff man!
Cheers bud, hope your well 👍
Another good set of bases. Wait till you start your 13mm naps 😂😂😭
May be a while haha, it'll be a Prussian medical station if i do 😁
Superb mini vignettes, Easy to do but really effective and look cool. You could do commissions… just sayin’ ☺️
Hmmm, maybe, would be alot of fun 🤔😁

Great idea haha, though with my rolls it would probably take out half the army 😅
I'm definitely going to making some more, I'll certainly be filming 👍
