Thanks for the clear explanation Bene!
Sadly there are no good sources here in the netherlands... looking at importing but have never done that before.
If anybody has some source tips please leave a reply

Slowly but surely there will be good source shrimp readily available even for Netherlands.

Great video once again! At what measurement (cm) do you start to move shrimplets to grow out tank?

before 0.8cm i try to remove all of them by that time. THanks for the kind words!

Thanks for all the information. You mentioned mixing new blood into the main line, where do these new shrimps come from if you want to keep purity of the main line.

Or you can do cousins with cousins, yes?

great video! i was going to message you about culling and improving shrimp genetics. I got some red fancy tiger, semi high grade about 2 years ago. I let them breed out, lots of culls. Would it be better to take the best ones into a tank or take out the culls of the existing tank? how about tw breeder contacts? I found a few but where can we find more?

Usually we take all shrimplets to grow up tank then once they are grown up to be graded we will move the good ones to another tank.

@@ShrimpSanctuary When you identify quality shrimp in the grow up tank, do you remove those and place them in a third third tank, or do you move them back into the original breeding tank to back breed to the original adults?

@@tolstoy21 I am glad you ask this question as this is also a question i get quite a bit. There are currently 2 path that can be taken.
      1) if you have insufficient quality shrimp in the grow up tank due to low number of stable lines, generally you will need to move the quality female back to the main breeding tank to help boost the numbers and prepare for succession plan. (F0 will eventually cease to breed). This is in general a case of a smaller breeding ratio at the beginning
      2) yes if there are sufficient quality shrimps in the grow up tank, then you can move the quality ones into the third tank. From there branch out as an independent line. In addition, you can repeat this to create 2 independent line to create close cousins to prevent too much inbreeding.
i'll probably make a video on this and touch on this topic as it is an important topic to talk about.
