CNUR 7 rare milage run on the Wabash Central Railroad

  • CNUR 7 works on the Wabash Central Railroad. I picked up the chase just west of Bluffton Indiana. I followed them through Liberty Center, Warren and over the Salamonie River bridge. They had 3 loads of potash for Crop Production Services which is one of 2 active customers west of Bluffton on this railroad, hanging on by a few carloads a year.

Finding one short line working is worth more than finding 20 class ones highballing down the mainline. Both can be exciting but someday these lines will likely not be there.

Who knew? These are scenes most people never see. But your travels make this possible. Once again, great camera closeups and aerial shots. Your drone shots are almost like sitting in a theater with a large screen. Enjoyed every moment. Like I always say, put that TV remote away and view these videos. Keep that camera rolling. Many thanks!

Excellent video, Scott - great ending, too, with your little son! Little can compare with chasing a short-line railroad on a late winter day. There’s a bit of melancholy in the air as we await spring. Except for the modern hoppers, and pickups, this is a scene from the ‘60s. Seems like time stands still in some parts of Indiana. I will revisit this video in the next few days. Thank you Scott.
