Seeing that Kway Chap store brings back memories of my Grandpa taking me there on weekends over 30 years ago. So happy to see the Ah Ma still going strong!

Hi Piggy, great video this one as with the other dozen that I have recently viewed over the last week after recommended to me by a friend - some of the videos more recent in 2023 and other, like this one, 1-2 years ago! I left Singapore over 20 years ago and have not been back since then. But, one thing I miss are the hawker heritage in Singapore and indeed several of my favourite hawker food - your videos bring back fond memories!! First time I have watched your videos ( and have now subscribed too), and I must commend you on your jovial and honest chats with the hawkers/owners. I love the way you captured the skilful, pain-staking and ways the hawkers prepare and sell their food-- in a delightful and mouth-watering way (when you down the various dishes/food so scrumptiously ;-0 !
Also, where the hawker centres are located and bit of the hawkers' history. Thank you for your videos on showcasing Singapore's traditional hawker heritage and how important these hard working folks are. They stand out distinctly versus other food blogs/videos. Well done, and keep up your good work in enlightening us on what's new in the hawker scene in Singapore. I will continue to watch and enjoy!

Wow Puggy, good job on the 3D google map, very impressive and a good intro to the video! You are getting very good at this. Yes, my favorite is Kueh Tutu. Impressive equipment but it is just too much work, still wonder how hawkers make money with such affordable pricing. Glad to see the whole operation in making Kueh Tutu and I particularly like his 3-in-one mould, never seen that, it is always one at a time. Smart! Yum, yum, laksa, good portion of ckt, kway chap, chai tau kway....delicious. Thanks Puggy!!!👍😁😂🤣👏

Still a newbie.. 😀✌️ I've never seen it being prepared before.. was really an eye opener for me. That guy is really an inventor.. customised 3 in 1 mould. Plus giant kueh tu Tu 🥳

My primary school was just beside this hawker center, during recess time i & my class mate will climbed over the school gate and went them for meal in the early 80. i was also stayed there and used to go there taking dinner & beer, i moved to other area in year 1996, missed the food there. The Char Kuay Teow was the best i ever tried, whenever that old man fried the kuay teow, the whole hawker filled with aroma & smoke. It been so long already , hope that old man still around. Can any one advise the Kway chap still the same stall since it started? If is still the same then yes, this kway chap stall is really nice.

Do you guys ever taste perfume in putu piring? I think my pet peeve is about hawkers wearing heavy perfume when making such kuehs. It's very easy for the rice to absorb whatever external smell 🐽
