Main problems with the game... - should have given earlier access to mounts -quality of life shouldnt cost you robux -battlepass shoudnt have given you like actual weapons and mounts but rather be cosmetic -Make quests more then kill 40 enemies, could have made the escort missons actually make you protect the escort from dying, etc - allow you to dual wield same weapons so you can have acesss to all moves from 1 weapon
Yeah all those are right. Every main quest is the same. Go talk with that guy, kill 30-60 enemies (I have to kill 55 high lvl ones rn), etc. Side quests are all mostly the same, being walk with someone, kill enemies, or gather x number of items for someone. Nothing is actually fun when you get higher level because you have experienced it all before. Put something fun in, like a stealth quest or jail thing. Arcane odyssey did it with it's main story, so why can't they?
Customization also shouldn’t cost Robux And idk if it’s just me but I think equipment and weapons and stuff being numerical buffs is stupid and should be changed for more uniqueness with builds
enemy ai should be more varied eg bores having a charge attack as well as a basic mele or stronger enemies not getting stunned after 1 parry but you have to parry a chain of attacks instead bosses should have both a mele and ranged move set (ive only fought the first one not sire if it changes) to make the fights more dynamic staves and ranged weapons in general could do with some basic attack verity rather than the classic non homing magic missile in various colours, eg having a different m1 combo at close range or being able to charge basic attacks for burst damage i feel that enemies should be a bit less tanky (maybe 10% less health to make things less tedious) and have some kind of anti-gank eg if more than 1 enemy is attacking you instead of attacking you simultaneously they should work in tandem to make it more challenging in a way that makes it intuitive eg the second enemy circling round to your side while the first one attacks then after stunning/parrying the first enemy the second one intervenes and the first one drops back before reapproaching. i feel as if the sliding mechanic is underused and maybe could be used in tandem with attack chains to add verity to the combat, and maybe an ariel and critical attack could also be added i appreciate how hard it is to create something of this magnitude and complexity (having had a fair amount of coding experience myself) and i am just giving my honest and humble opinion as i do relatively enjoy the game and only wish it success
Lol for sure. I mean you can tell they had this thought process with many things. "Hey the map is pretty big let's create a map but instead of making it useful let's lock the useful info behind a pay wall, or how about we make the characters as slow as a snail with barely any inventory slots so they're forced to walk up and down the map getting rid of things and make sure the fastest way of transport is locked at level 25 and they have to gamble for it" Seriously what a complete joke, I can't believe I let myself get hyped for this game for a year thinking it would somehow be different than anime bandit beaters.
it's a shame that quests later on become terrible, like killing 25 of the same enemy that literally has the same moves as 95% of the other mobs, just more dmg and hp. i really wish there was more variety cause i do enjoy the combat
Im on a quest right now with lvl 27 mobs. They actually use multiple skills and jump. It’s like pvp. I died multiple times and have been wanting to go back to the boars hahaha
Some things that I feel that you missed/didnt get to because its later in the story line. - Yes the game does get extremely grindy at the later levels, the game happens to have an afk world, but most of the extreme grind doesnt start until after someone would get to the point of the game that they are truly invested in it. - The game has a phenomenal faction system, you would unlock this around where you get to the point where you cant reset your stats for free anymore. After this point almost everything you kill will drop "faction tokens" which you can use to reset your stats/skills, and purchase items that are extremely usefull at every point in progression. Faction tokens are easy to get, and you can steal them by killing other players, encouraging open world pvp. - The mount system is rough, the mounts are cool as hell, and are animated very well, but to get a mount you have to get a lootbox from a pretty grindy quest that only actually has a 9% chance to give you a mount, and then you have to level the mount before you can actually ride it, conveniently this grind happens at the perfect time that you would need to start mindlessly grinding to catch up to the main story anyways so it was well placed. - If you fail to upgrade an piece of equipment the equipment is destroyed, this is mitigated by the fact that you can earn scrolls that are guaranteed to succeed. - Build creation really sucks if you want to make a hybrid magic/physical build - Farming potions really sucks. - If you break a mobs stamina bar they immediately counter attack instead of rewarding you for breaking their block. - Around level 40 you start going to a forced pvp zone in the game, I have interacted with the pvp and I have enjoyed it, but that could just be due to taste, I have not leveled past this zone so I do not know what comes next. - Healing is really strong purely because of how little of it there is outside of the celestial staff, you lack access to the strongest healing options because you are playing single player, but in a group the celestial staff carries. I wish you harped more on the monetization, specifically because roblox is a platform that is occupied by children, and has very lax laws compared to normal games, so developers can get away with more. I understand that the developers need to eat, and personally I dont mind the qol gamepasses that should be a part of the base game because they are all relatively cheap, and are all single purchases. I dont mind the battle pass even though you will eventually lose access to it if you dont grind enough. What I am not fine with is how every single loot box is a near miss. There is a trait spinner in character creation that has pay to win traits, the rarest trait gives you 12% crit chance, increased movement speed, increased block stamina, and increased magic and physical power. If you want to buy a mount from the store you cant buy the mount, instead you need to buy a loot box that has a 1% chance of dropping the mount that you want. Devas of creation is an incredible game, but it hamstrings itself with its monetization. In actual gameplay the only glaring issue for me is that every single mob feels the same to fight. I believe the game will be wildly successful, and it will continue to drop content for me, but I will never be able to feel good about supporting this game because it will owe its success to targeting children with gambling tactics that are banned in specific parts of the world.
I understand why they need to monetise the game, that would never upset me. It's the horrible and down right predatory way they did it. Like you said this platform is full of kids and teens. They purposely designed the game in a way that makes the f2p experience difficult and boring. Wanna not spend a stupid amount of time walking around the map? Buy a mount or gamble for one. Wanna not spend ages finding where the ores, trees and fishing spots are? Buy the game pass. At this point I wish they removed the heavy monetisation and just made the game cost like 800 robux. I would've been fine with that imo.
Problem with this comment is that Devas of Creation is also Technically a copy, seeing as everything from the Weapon class system, the trade skills and the UI is ripped Straight out of New World
i played this game for like 8-10 hours in total and i can tell it has a lot of potential to be really good if they actually listen to the complains of the community
Haha “does is suck” I do wish they would make it like deep woken where the enemies don’t jump you. Also the distance where their aggro wears off needs to be lowered
Been playing the game for an extensive and unhealthy amount of time since release with two characters over 40 and a third over 20, some issues I've noticed are. -Exp walls where when you hit level 20 or near it you are forced to either take it that slow or do some brain off AOE farming and server jumping. -Crafting, Like as you said you get to the point of items having a chance of failure and before like a day ago would destroy all your supplies. This happens at the point where the materials are god forsakenly awful to grind at that level (Weapon takes 207 gems, mobs at said level drop 1 at 20% rate and then it fails craft destroying them). -Mounts. Holy hell you are forced to buy the starter horse pass or be doomed to hours of grinding for a mount AND THEN forced to level up said mount to level 10 that also sucks up 30% of your exp (Why????). -Repeating areas, HOLY SHIT THE GAME SENT ME TO AN AREA TO KILL SCITTER SOLDIERS A TOTAL OF 15 THEN LATER GO BACK AND KILL 25 THEN GO BACK AND DO 35 AND THEN A WHOLE 45 KILLS.
@@zenith0079 game took the worst parts of WoW and refused to iterate them (grinding resources can be made fun), and the best of it and decided to ruin them (exploring a map with 0 incentive to explore it yet having it be a walking simulator)
@@ale-hl8pg yeah 100% the mount rarity thing also kind of blows. Honestly it just feels like a mashup. New world styled crafting and collecting of resources and skill leveling and gameplay. World of Warcraft styled QoL and feel. I’ll say. Hey. The game is free and well I’m enjoying it. But there are a lot of issues. I don’t want to kill 25 ogres. Then deliver a box 2000 meters. Then collect 25 mushrooms and 12 berries for a 3% chance at a flying mount and a 65% chance at 5000 essence.
@@zenith0079 Yeah I fully agree with you It's great that it's a free game, it's great that it's a roblox game and it's great that so much effort went into it But because it's as large of a game as it is - the design will be flawed, the content won't be enough, and the game will not be polished It's got potential, but I'd be fine personally paying for this game, even if it's seasonal, rather than the monetization plan they went with Cause like, yeah, it's free, but because it's free they're going with a predatory monetization plan like this - and maybe this is subjective, but I don't think it's ever genuinely healthy for the game or fun for the developers to work with Then again, it does work on roblox, so while I personally hate it and think it's unhealthy, they'll probably earn enough to not even care about that
The worst part is that the game is basically a walking simulator after a certain point. Even with Fast Travel Waypoints, you still have to walk a long way to get to a place, especially in the early game when you don't have enough Essence to abuse the Waypoints. You can only get THE CHANCE to get a mount at level 20, when you need to do a repeatable quest that requires around 10-15 minutes to complete, and so you will have a 9% chance of getting a mount from the quest crate reward. Oh! Wait! You don't want to repeat the quest multiple times nor wait till level 20 to get a chance of getting a mount and making your game way less boring cuz of needing to walk tons of miles? Alright! All you need is to buy the horse mount for *JUST 349* robux! Pretty cheap, don't ya think? After level 25-26 you must do a great grind at werewolves to be able to achieve level 30 and so use a better gear. It's not hard, but sometimes the werewolves get the better of you and stunlock you till you die, making you need to walk all the way again from the nearest checkpoint till the werewolves camp. The greatest problem of the game isn't the grind or anything else, but the quality of life locked behing a luck/pay wall. After 10 HOURS of playtime, the game just got boring to me because of it.
Ok so for the first point. giving mounts early game is never a good idea in a mmorpg because it would ruin the experience of trying to get a mount. a mount should be a achievement and a 9% isn't even that bad since the quest is genuinely so easy to do its 10 were wolfs and like 20 female bears that die in 5 hits. your point about the walking to the werewolves camp is shit because the camp isnt even that far from the forest cross roads wrap. you literally take atleast 10 seconds to get there it just sounds like your complaining for the love of the game
I'm now level 50 and have a mount at the game, pretty much at the endgame, and I can assure you he is pretty much right. At the very least half of my playtime was farming the werewolves, which isn't good design, even for an RPG, because there are pretty much no alternatives to it, most RPGS allow you to farm bosses or either a GOOD repeatable quest instead of farming the same mobs, but that isn't an option here, I mean, you can server hop the polar bear, but that isn't very immersive or fun, is it? I don't think they NEED to give you a mount early on, but instead just make more waypoints, there were barely any on the map and it felt like a grind to go through the woods ( the middle part of the map) multiple times. I think the game is pretty fun though, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I really felt burnt out from just walking and fightning the same thing over and over for barely .5% xp a mob, being generous. I would also like to add that I don't think selling quality of life is bad per say, because they got to make their buck somehow, but it should be niche stuff, which they tried implementing but fumbled, because of the badly done waypoint system. Finally, I also should mention that the quests were extremely dragged out, and It wasn't trying to hide it at all.
@eynitionl2064 I don't agree with the mounts thing. The Elder Scrolls Online gives them to you first thing, but allows you to make them better over time. Though they still make basic traversal a lot less tedious when you haven't unlocked all the fast travel points. Being able to walk faster only after you've walked everywhere you'd ever need to go isn't a very good reward, and even if it was only halfway into the game, that doesn't excuse having really boring to traverse areas everywhere before that.
By far my worst problem with this game is the party system, me and my friends wanted to play so we make a party, xp sharing is nice so no problems there, but every single item you loot is going to someone else in the party I swear to god, one of us stopped looting monsters because they had more profit waiting for someone else in the party to loot the corpse
loot going to someone else. they stopped looting monster and to solve it they wait for someone else when previously he says that the loot always going to someone else. What the fuck does it mean by that
@@imiq2941Ill use #1 player and #2 player as an example to make sense. So basically on what POV was saying, #2 player did not bother on looting the dead bodies anymore. Because when #1 player is looting the bodies, the loot goes to #2 player instead.
Also something that not many people mention is that it's nearly impossible to join your friends, and the server browser not only does not show everything but it also only shows the FULL SERVERS. What is the point of a server list if all it shows is servers you can't join
while devas of creation does is suck, blox fruit will eternally remain as the GREATEST rpg on roblox, heck you could say its the greatest game ever made on the roblox platform, and i would personally say blox fruit is the GREATEST GAME EVER MADE in the history of gaming. it's a shame to see such a blatant copy cat even attempt to reach blox fruits level. i give it 1 snowman out of 8.
Personally, I also immediately liked the fact that you need to pick your abilities and ability upgrades for a weapon, which completely change the use for those abilities, allowing you to have build variety. However, after doing some research, I found out that once you reach max level with a weapon, you gain access to all upgrades to the three abilities you chose, meaning that the only build variety you get comes from the abilities you pick, and these either don't really change the player's playstyle much, or one is just clearly superior to the other, depending on the weapon.
I'm lvl 55 and have grinded the game with 2x xp since release and I'd like to make some points: 1. The combat DOES suck. The moment you hit level 20, the game starts throwing enemies at you with horrible parry timings and several enemies at once that will essentially stun lock you. Where I'm at in the game I can only deal damage with abilities, as my m1s are essentially useless. (+10 legendary staffs with legendary/epic perks) 2. The difficulty scaling and progression is ridiculous. I had been playing and progressing normally with 2x, and the moment I hit lvl 25 ish I started having to fight enemies with 10+ level advantages. RPGs should not have to force you to spam side quests over and over to level up properly and play through the game. Especially considering all of the side quests give you the same amount of EXP (flat 3000-4000) which is essentially useless at later levels. 3. My biggest and by far worst complaint about the game is the economy. Duping has literally killed the game and the player count is plummeting for this reason. People have gotten tens of thousands of blessed scrolls, mounts, weapons, crafting materials and essence and everything is basically worthless now. When the game was P2W at release and before duping became a thing, it wasn't a problem and trading was actually fun, but now everything has lost all value.
Honestly everything being duped and losing value is what they get for making the game so predatory. Normally I'd be against it but we're talking about a game that makes you pay for map markers and quick looting with lootboxes around every corner. Screw 'em.
@@theoreticalexistence9630 yea I'm now level 55 with all +10 legendary armor and +12 unique staffs with godrolls so I think I can tell exactly what has gone wrong and what they need to do at this point. 1. Give QoL gamepasses to all F2P players and change the gamepasses to something different for anyone whos purchased them (like higher enchant success rate / crafting, exc) 2. Balance economy by adding in something better than blessed scrolls (now that duping is fixed this should fix all of the horrid eco rn) 3. Increase mount drop chances from quests / world bosses 4. Make side quest XP scale with level (I should not be getting 3k from lvl 50+ side quests) 5. Inventory space should not scale exponentially with essence
@@ImperiumVFX I think it's really silly that there isn't character deletion. I made my character an Illythrian as i usually play melee / barbarian type characters and wanted to spice up, but after like 5 hours of playtime i've realized i quite dislike the mage play-style in this game. but i can't delete this character so to make an Umbralithian like i wish i did, i need to spend 100 robux on a character slot.
first ones a skill issue, wdym horrible parrying timings, they are just harder.. and idk how your losing with legendary stuff against anything. and everything hasnt lost value more people played and got more items.. kinda how it goes
@@Ranch_Coffee1688 Even more so its weird that there isn't outright a way to change character race. That's pretty standard in games with race systems now. It feels like the game is a decade behind in its design.
Thought this game would save Roblox 2024 but clearly that's just a dream. 55k player on release and now they can't even get past 20k daily. Game has so many issue and one of them would be the ping problem. Their server list system is so bad and not accurate. The lowest ping I ever get from playing this game was 80ms but most of the time I play with 150-200ms (more player in a server = more lag I guess) they really need to do something about that. Easiest simple fix would be adding private server as a gamepass or clan thingy. But that also could mean exploiter can just auto farming without getting caught so it's not really a win-win situation. Another thing would be to remove this level to high for low lvl mob drop. At the end of the day, those low lvl mobs sitting at beginner area become useless and a waste of memory space (that cause lag) when everyone in the server is lvl 20+ Some of necessary stuff to have require people to spend real money for example the increase inventory space. New biome = new materials = need more space unless new weapon or armor will use the same material. They need to stop with this awful kill this 20 and 30 of that quests when the npc are all over the place. Waste of time.
I was hyped up for it and looked good then just turned out a bandit beater. Beat 40-50 of these enemies every single time no variation, just repetition. At least try to make it non linear. The skills like woodcutting, mining, crafting, etc. when leveled up give like 0 exp.
Great points but for the celestial staff not healing much I tested that, and the more points you put in intelligence (what the damage scales off of) the more it heals you.
Artificial difficulty due to player EXP progression greatly slowing down, leading you to fight enemies 15+ levels above you, with unbelievably shitty game balancing too (some specific enemies cant be stunned and fight perfectly, full strength greatsword is objectively a top 3 build etc) and predatory monetary choices like having a FARMABLE mount quest with a CHANCE to get mounts, when you can instantly buy one with robux? When the ENTIRE game is about running back and forth multiple kilometers? Crafting is 100% useless unless you're endgame going for small bonuses? Yeah wrap it up already, Devas of Mid lol.
@@Eynitionthis makes no sense, having to run 15 minutes each time to have a chance of having a mount then wasting 4 more hours leveling is just bad game design. The developers know what they are doing trying to milk playtime.
@@Eynition and if you fail the luck chance which you most likely will as its 9%, You'll spend another 15 minutes doing it again, Which makes it 30 aka half a hour, And if you manage to loose again then your gonna have to do it again making the time increase from 30 to 45 minutes, and if you loose again (Just repeat the loosing and grinding and time increasing because it just wastes your time at that point) Hell with the luck chance, The amount of hours it would take for a person to get the werewolf mount in world zero would be easy (It takes 1-3 hours.)
@@Firefly87687 It really does not take that long. again this is a mmorpg meaning you don't need to constantly do the quest you can keep doing it each day or have a time frame of what you wanna do on the game that day. mmorpgs take ages to lvl up and progress but roblox players instantly want to get the BEST STUFF or travel faster off the get go
While I only watch your videos occasionally, I always appreciate how in-depth your game reviews are. I like how whenever you make a statement, you always back it up with a detailed explanation. I appreciate all of the effort you put into your criticisms, keep it up!
I completely 100% agree with everything in this video Also, to add to the monetization part, they intentionally put the 0.1% trait and the 3% trait behind whatever you roll, to incite and trick kids to buy their race rerolls thinking "ohhh I was so close to getting it", which is just pretty scummy to me.
I played the tutorial, got up to what I can assume is the first actual boss fight and then gave up because of the difficulty of the game and the low rewards. I feel like the game has potential and I really hope it goes well.
@@EggsworthyI think he may have meant too difficult. I got destroyed by the boss, and then finally killed enough bears to craft slightly better gear and won. The 2nd boss after that, the one in the village, is just insanely powerful though. As well as the 2nd actual story boss, the ogre guy... I got one shot
I agree with the map thing, it's a bit pointless to lock a key gameplay feature behind a paywall. Yes, there's google but that's obviously not the intended way to do the quest. The quest literally tells you to find the two npcs by looking for them on your map. You can't do that because that feature of the map is locked behind a paywall. The quest literally wants you to do that, otherwise it would just say "find the children" with no map tutorial. That feels kind of scummy, but the battlepass thing seems fair as you only get a few extra items that I believe you can just get from normal gameplay anyways.
The map is like top 3 most useless gamepasses available rn so idk why so many people are crying over this. Only resource that is actually hard to find is phoenixheart timer, just look up the locations cuz theres 6 of em in total so you will either wanna afk or get em all when farming it. Rest you should discover pretty easily on your own and are abundant. Never buying this among with pk goggles, 2 absolutely useless passes
Big DISSAPOINTMENT... the Battlepass and Gamepasses are way too expensive, the mounts too hard to obtain Healing potions so hard to craft and all u can ever get or craft are the regular basic healing potions for 320 each Enemies so hard to kill and gives too little crafting materials and you can only farm better with specific builds making every other build useless including the crit build with the critical hit not applying to all skills and abilities and the variety of weapons is JUST LIKE ALBION so hard to get resources so much EFFORT so LITTLE REWARD just to keep you on the game and get you to buy their stupid gamepasses to "grind faster" DOC WILL END UP LIKE VOXLBLADE.
Crits working with skills would be op, crits builds are great with dagger and bow, with greatsword yea it kinda useless. Ik this cuz originally i went dexterity and strength build, but since i rely on the greatsword more than the bow i swapped to full strength and leftover in dex build Potions? 320 is dirt ever since you become high enough lvl to enter catacombs, before it you shouldn't really have major struggles so skill issue ig One of the cheaper gamepasses out of any Roblox rpg i play, tho i give you this, besides picking up every item with a single keystroke the other passes are lacking(this pass may not seem like a huge deal either but it def is ince you start farming groups of mobs in catacombs and pyramid cuz some of em drop up to 6-7 items and you are luring together 3-7 mobs at once so picking everything in 1 press saves you a lot of time). They aren't super expnesive, but for what you get they aren't great either. While other games I've played had more expensive passes, the passes actually made a huge deal. For example one rpg i play has 50 bank slots, buying extra slots gives you additional 100, so 150 total, in devas you get additional 6, which is nothing. The pass in the other game is 3 times more expensive, but its a better deal overall making it worth it. Not to defend the game, it has major issues, but everything you mentioned is very minor besides me half way agreeing with the passes. Prices aren't bad, the passes themselves are.
I honestly gave up on this game in character creation, I understand that people gotta make their money, but something about the cosmetic pack screamed to me "just quit, it's gonna get worse"
About the grind being artificially BS, I leveled up from level 19 to 20 (I don't remember exactly from which level to which, but you get it), and the EXP requirement for ONE level went from around 6,000 to 18,000+(again, in ONE level.) don't know why, but it's to be expected from a game that locks very important information which every player should have the right to know (map pack) behind a paywall to making a "Pickup All" button a gamepass. This especially becomes a problem later when you need lots of EXP and/or drops for crafting and stuff when you hoard enemies and kill them all together to make the grind faster and end up having to pick up every single item manually which gets really annoying and slow :/
the game had pratically no effort put into it, 98% of the models in the game are unreal engine assets that you can get for a few bucks and i'm pretty sure most if not all icons are from packs or stolen from other games. the story is literally just the same 4 quests recycled over and over and over but in different locations: find somebody, fetch, escort or kill a set amount of bandits. the combat is extremely watered down to the point of being one less feature away from just being world//zero 2.0 and the game is a microtransaction hellhole, they make everything a pain in the nuts to get so you are more inclined to spend money to make it less of a pain.
I noticed that it uses nearly the same pattern as Genshin (Im no Genshin player but I heard of its horrible storytelling) Player is looking for something > NPC tells them to do this or that, when once done, they promise to tell you where to find it > tells you to go to another NPC > go back to step 1
To be honest, you are right that the balancing is not very good, but not about the healing staff. Further down the line it gets really powerful, at least in my opinion. In my eyes it heals a lot of hp. I had a friend who was using it and I always was able to survive for way longer than I should have if he wasnt here. But the bad balance part comes with weapons like the dagger. Right now it is very weak, compared to stuff like the ice and fire staff. You can also reset your stats for free after level 15 with faction tokens, which you get from killing mobs and codes.
Man this game really sucks if u get past lvl 15 u will realise how bad is it bc all u gonna do after is go 3000m away and kill 40 ncps and go back 3000m to finish the quest and go get a new one tells u to go 4000m to kill 40 npc and repeat that until ur lvl 22 u will get a boss and after u kill the boss u go back to go 4000m system and the bad thing is u cant get a mount unless u buy one or do 15-25 min worth of quest u get a chance to roll for a mount that have 3% chance to get
once you get into the midgame, there's a quest giver that makes you GRIND, like one of the quest where you want to get a mount, where first you gotta follow the quest giver around, sound easy right? then, you have to kill 24 different monsters and then return to the quest giver, and lastly you have to get 2 small health potions and an enigmatic sigil to him. where you find those 2? you buy them from the potion shopkeeper. and where is she? she's at the main town which is OVER 3000 METERS AWAY! (granted there's a portal system that can teleport you there but it's not really viable since you do need to talk to the waypoint lady) and when you finish that questline, you don't guarantee to get the mount, and you know the chance to get the mount? 3%! only. 3. percent. not to mention that the map is HUGE, you do need a mount to go around, but this game forces you to either try to get that 3% or spend robux
As some1 who's actually spent some time in this game I can say these things. (Level 36 mage, going on 40) 1. Combat in this game is very repetitive and is kinda bad. That goes for both PvP and PvE. PvP it's even worse considering that even though if u have ur PvP disabled some1 who has their PvP enable can attack you. It's really dumb and needs to be changed. 2. Movement in this game is horrible. 5-6 second cooldowns on Rolls and u get a max of 2 b4 it has to recharge (which often ends up in taking to much damage or even dying when running from enemies). Same issue with double jumping on how it has a 3-5 second cool down. Also you have to farm a quest to have a 3% chance of a Land Mount or u can pay for it with robux. They give u a Water mount for free even though 99% of the game is land based. 3. Healing in this game is bad in all ways. Health potions do absolutely nothing, and Healing skills are even worse. Long CDs for single use skills that dont even do a good amount of healing until you have around 40+ points in INT stat but even then the healing is mid at best. Not a singular Healing over time skill for healers either. Im a Level 36 mage and it just feels like the game is more tailored towards Physical classes. 4. Enemies do way to much damage in some areas and every enemy in this game is faster than you. which often leads to death if u get jumped 5. Greed. So much stuff to pay for with robux that's just dumb imo. 6. Game is way to difficult to progress without a party to cheese bosses / enemies with 24/7
Totally agree about the tutorial thing. I am a 30 something lifelong gamer, and when I started playing roblox to bond with my daughter, I was constantly confused about how to do anything because the games rarely tell you anything. And the when you ask in the chat it's "get good" and "skill issue".
@13:12 The music fading is probably by design. The music might be taken from something else and wasn't made to loop. Rather than editing the audio to make it seamless it's easier to just fade it in and out.
The reason the support weapon is “bad” is because it was op before and was nerfed, tho most people still consider it pretty good (in the late game) Great video btw :p
The combat and overall mechanics seem interesting and are pretty fun, but the game quickly shows its flaws with repetitive enemies a grueling level grind and annoying travel (you have to walk everywhere without a mount and a dash that goes on cooldown not fun), the fact that the only boss you fight in the first 2ish hours (of what ive played) is literally the tutorial boss is pretty lame. Not even mentioning the scummy monetization (which is pretty much standard practice on roblox now) the game is interesting and clearly had alot of effort put into it, however the flaws outweigh the pros imo
As someone who played the game for around 3-4 days with friends and without ,I can say that it does suck a lot more if you don't have people playing with you, but the game doesn't really give much reasons as to why you should play with friends other than help with bosses, which even then it's better if you learn to beat it solo because they decided to make the drops of mobs only be given to the person that grabs them first (this is probably to give people more reasons to buy the "grab all" gamepass, but even then that doesn't help out much), being in a party is ultimately useless too as even if you are in a party you don't share the items grabbed, instead you have like a 50/50 chance of the items grabbed to go to one of the people in the party this also comes with getting decreased exp from mobs as it gets shared around the party (this only applies if you are in a certain radius of the people of your party). The chances of getting weapons and armors from mobs and chests is also abysmal, you go to a 1% for rares to a 0.1% to get epics and so on, so it's always way better to just farm items to craft weapons and armors or look at the market if other people are selling them for cheap. But the game can be fun, I remember loving it for the 2 days I was playing it and then on the third and fourth day it started feeling like a choir, they should change how things go a bit as the game has a ton of potential and I hate it going to waste like this.
Later on the games becomes more of a walking simulator where u have to get a mount to progress. There is a way to get a mount for free, around every hour cuz u do a questline, then u need to get lucky to get a mount or u have to do it all again. After that u have to raise the mount for hours just to use it after lvl 22 it made me quit the game.
I hope the devs of the game watch this or at least hear about these topics and listen to it, because I love the game, but it just makes me disappointed in some places
The main problem with the combat is having to parry every enemy separately if there's more than one on you. You just keep getting put through a loop where the only way you'll kill them is to constantly run away.
I mean anyone complains about bandit beaters don't play World of Warcraft or FFXIV, amazing story but most of the time you either escort or literally fight mobs for quest same as Deva lol
@@Narike7 right and you remember how there's certain quests for collecting items that you can do by either killing the enemies around, or using the agro system to avoid them? or how there's optional areas? or how you're incentivized to explore the map cause you get rewarded for it? there's also the fact the game recognizes travelling is annoying and gives you a mount early on or how the game gives you build variety, optional equipment, optional bosses, while also having a linear way you can progress? or how the game incentivized you to play in a clan/party by having difficult bosses? even with artificial difficulty, the boss fights are usually made so that individual play matters yet you need people to win the fights the professions sucked in WoW too, if anything it's sad devas didn't iterate on that by adding a minigame you could do when collecting items (though being able to only pick some professions further incentivized clan play so the game did make you feel like you mattered to the clan lol) it's not the fact you just fight mobs, it's that devas doesn't play around with the idea enough for it to be fun - games that do that avoid being called bandit beaters, cause they're not just bandit beaters, it's only a part of them
i swear some of the images used as assets are ai generated, but i cant 100% tell because when i played the game was so laggy for me i never got a good look
idk why but most of the time i look at this game's art style and enemies i just think of those shitty raid shadow legends sponsor videos, it just looks so oversaturated and way too cliche even IF it's not the type of stuff you would find on roblox.
@@idk-uv8ej eclipse obviously edited the title after I commented dummy 💀❓ you can very easily see other comments making fun of the error when it was still there
Hey Eclipse! I agree with almost everything you said, but I would like to clear up some confusion. On the resetting your stats concern, it never costs Robux. It charges you with faction coins, which you can get through the free battlepass and just by killing enemies.
I think its primary problem, is just that its severely underbaked, its laggy, buggy, parrying for whatever reason doesnt reset your block cooldown, many npcs can attack right after getting parried, meaning parries are often just bad. The npcs also have a terrible despawn system, often despawning in the middle of combat, but also running after you for centuries when youre running in the opposite direction. then theres the kill-stealing problem (which for some stupid reason, the guards can steal your kills too, which is just crazy). theres too limited an amount of races (no clue why you cant play as one of those big ogres or giants) and weapons, and said weapons are annoying to build and you cant really mix the types, which is weird for a game where thats a mechanic. the mana weapons and physical weapons have their stats pretty much entirely unlinked, meaning if you want to use a melee weapon, youre never gonna use a mana weapon, because melee weapons and bows are tied to strength, and mana weapons arent, meaning youre either stuck as a mana ranged character, or as an actually good character. and that isnt helped when the races' stats are wildly differing too. i see you doing a terrible 34 damage with a greatsword against the rats, because your character is a mana race. i chose the dexterity focused one, and with the same tier dagger im doing easily over 50 base damage with all points specked into crits... and that attacks significantly faster. this game has so much potential, but it clearly came out significantly too early, and that stings. I think it's potentially a great game to return to in a year or so though. also, youre somewhat kind of wrong on the m1s not stunning, they actually do, it just seems to require a certain percentage of damage dealt to an enemy? i easily stunned wolves right from the start, but boars didnt work until i got a better weapon and stats, and then the shrooms didnt get stunned, again until i got stronger weaponry... the weirdest part is that stun doesnt seem to change per weapon? the greatswords and daggers at least have roughly the same point at which they stun.
is this a real comment? npcs dont attack after a parry those are the bosses because the bosses need multiple parries to finally get stun locked. like any other boss in any other game
@@sentient-boat1 Any NPC with a charge attack will without fail use that charge attack after a parry(but only if you hit them?), and the only way to interrupt it is to do a combo finisher with a melee weapon, or use a stunning ability
as a former top 9 in the pve category, I strongly agree that the game is a HUGE bandit beater and has an insane amounts of holes in the story and not only that but the missions are kinda boring and repeat themselves a lot. The game got amazing models and good graphics tho, too bad games are not just that.
Talking about music, yeah you are right, music is maybe one of the most important pillar for a game, for an exemple, you can say anything you like or hate about voxlblade, but you cant say that the music isnt extremelly good, most part of the game, expecially a rpg, you gonna be hearing some music, and its gonna affect how you feel about the game, if are figthing a hard boss, you expect a well made epic music, not just a random music stealed from a random Copyright free website Sorry for any language errors, my english is not that good
i suggest you review Vesteria as DOC has a lot of inspired concepts from vesteria(they proceeded to turn most of them into gamepasses/purchases to speed up your progression) altho vesteria has no tutorial just know you have to get lv 10 and get a class because vesteria REQUIRES exploration to continue progression, the rest is just getting to lv 55(max) and figuring out what your build is me personally the rating i have is 8/10 though my opinion may be biased due to me being in this game for 4 years + the fact i'm a tester also the game doesn't look like an anime 😭
as somebody with almost 100 hours in devas already, everything you said is true 1000% the classes aren't really balanced like bow is the best strength scaling weapon by FAR and has a move that goes through block. also if you click on the weapons in the skills tab it says what the weapon scales off of, either strength or intelligence, you can't really make hybrid builds either you kinda need to all in a class or else you'll be spread too thin. the combat is easily learned so its simple for people who aren't good with complex combat systems so it appeals to a wider audience thats probably why it has that 'turn based' feel to it the grind is painfully long especially to craft items epic and above and the mobs scale so much higher than the player more into the late game that it takes even LONGER to level up the battle pass isn't really an issue as everything in it you can get if you work for it and by the time you reach level 100 you should have all the gear that it gives you anyways the only thing you would need to spend money on is traits and a mount because the chances of getting one is pretty low from the quests and the quests take a long time something I really like that you never mentioned is the achievements system especially the one to pet a bunch of cats in the main town its very cute you ARE able to reset stats for free with something called clan tokens you get them from mobs lvl 15+ if I recall and the resets are cheap so no money needs to be spent on that I wish there was more customization options when it comes to races skin tones and the hairstyles are pretty limited the map may seem useless at first but it really does tell you everything you need to know to navigate and as you progress the story you will visit every part of the map and its easy to memorize with the way points I wish the atmosphere of the game was more moody during boss interactions and the music reflected the daunting power of these enemies (especially the catacombs boss) overall the game is great but obviously still needs to get worked on a LOT
I like this game, but the amount of weird microtransactions is annoying, i had nelde faction equipped which was winning, and in the menu you gotta select a faction to leave it, since they added a freaking microtransaction of 120 robux to change your faction to the winning one, and since the faction menu can only be closed by selecting a faction, and my faction was winning, i was forced to choose a losing faction to leave the menu, or i'd have to pay 120 robux. That is outrageous, not only for a price for that but for not adding a close button to the faction menu TLDR: if i chose the faction that i was already in to close the menu i'd have to pay 120 bobux, i was forced to choose another faction just to exit a menu
Same exact thing happened to me, had to switch off Nelde to close that menu and couldn't rejoin without paying robux because it's winning. I'm hoping to rejoin it whenever it's not winning, but I agree that they should add a close button or do away with the paywall
Additional problems I eccounter: -DEX stats is HORRIBLE. Crit is its main machanics BUT the way crit dmg is calculated is not the same as other game. Case in point: Base dmg is 100 and crit dmg is 200%. In other games it will be something like this- base dmg + [base dmg x (crit dmg)] So: 100+[100x(2.0)]= 300dmg This game its just- base dmg x (crit dmg) so: 100(2.0)=200dmg. PLUS skill cant crit. I had to change my stats from crit to all on STR. You lose so much dmg both from skill and basic attacks. If skill cant crit its fine but the whole machanics of crit build is to sacrifice dmg stats in order to gamble for a crit. If you crit you will be rewarded but in this game crit build is not as rewarding compared full STR build -Next. Why does naming your pet cost 300 robux? That is more than most people avatars value -Factions dont work properly. Factions has passive that will activate once the faction of your choice has won HOWEVER there is a few problem. - You need to wait until the faction won before the buff is activated. If you leave the buff is gone and you need to wait until the faction to win again - The buff dont even work. I did a test and sure enough. Maybe this is just me. Im not sure. -Furthermore, the crafting sucks. Have you guys seen the crafting material required to just make a blue rarity weapon? And thats on the lower end of rarity. Some weapon cant be obtained in chest and only obtainable by enemy drops so you will have to pray and hope you get the weapon you want or craft them. But the required material are so annoying to farm ESPECIALLY the higher rarity ones. Not to mention IF you dont craft armor and weapons, you would lose on valauable additional traits(buffs) which is ONLY obtainable via crafting Apart from these problems (and other future problems I may eccounter) the game is by far the best original RPG in roblox. When I search for an RPG on roblox, this is what I would expect. And probably what sword burst 3 should've been. (I know Sword Burst is based on SAO but still)
Combat is ass. I'm literally trying to block after I hit and it is so delayed when I try to block and takes like 5 seconds to block then I just get comboed cus of that and then I try to dodge and I can't cus I'm just getting comboed and stunned and pretty much can't do anything until I'm dead. Like it just stuns me so I can't hit or do anything. tl;dr: combat is ass can't do anything cus im just stunned and there is a huge delay to block and when im getting hit i cant block or dodge and when i manage to block enemy just breaks that and continues to combo me
The delay is the parry, get your timings right and youll do good, youve made a mistake on the timing and also after you miss your block the 3-4 attacks mobs do you can still parry them
@@Andre-vt4np i don't think it's that cus i hit the enemy once then try to block just for it to not block cus it's super delayed then i just get hit repeatedly and can't do anything cus i'm stunned
My biggest problem was really just the mounts, i generally like these types of rpg, the combat wasnt that exciting but was fun enough, but god damn, the map is large as fuck, but you cant have mounts until nearly the end of the game, at one point it just becomes a walking simulator, you are on god knows where, then suddenly you need to travel 5000 meters by foot, it just sucks
Everything you mentioned is spot on from good to bad, however sorry to disappoint you but it gets worse. Late game drops from bosses and normal npcs range from 0.5-0.1% which is insane, not only that but cooking is obsolete compared to crafting there is no reward basically to go anything but crafting, crafted gear get extra stats and its easier to get materials for that while fishing for cooking is tedious leveling up cooking mastery does nothing not even give extra stats to food you craft.
I absolutely hate the crafting chances that it can fail, I spent so much time farming and it just says "CRAFTING FAILED" LIKE BRUH I WASTED SO MUCH TIME
The way to combat the way weapon skills are the same that u mentions is that lengendary weapons could each have their own built in skill that when you have the weapon equiped, unlocks in a sub tab in the skill tab, called secret skills where the skill can be upgraded like before with the 2 little upgrades, something we have to note is that the game was just released so its not gonna be the best just quite yet, but uts potential is actualy insane
Im a mage. I uograded my ice staff to lvl 4 and it broke at lvl 5. I was set back A TON not being able to craft or buy a new one. It was so bad, and ruined the grind entirely
they locked half the quality of life features behind a paywall.... -you gotta pay to see most the map markers, -pay to have the "collect call" button for containers appear, -you gotta pay to see where the PVP areas are, -you gotta pay to have more than a couple quests active at once, -you gotta pay to see where chests are, -you gotta pay to see if players are killing other players, -you gotta pay to change the name of your pets and mounts and thats just the quality of life stuff you have to pay for.... not to mention the sheer amount of p2w your BOMBARDED with from the moment your in the game as most p2w, cashgrab games, you are FORCED to PVP, there is no option, a lot of the grind is in openworld PVP zones, so you will, as always, spend most your time fighting players that have paid unfathomable amounts of money and spent all their time since the second of launch grinding out on the game with every advantage, and are now so bored that theyre spending all their time roaming the map for low levels to kill on sight, not to mention, dying makes you loose stuff, so be prepared to spend most your time loosing everything to no life p2w players enemies have FAR TOO MUCH health which makes combat last 10x longer than it really has to be, and you spend 99% of the time sat there hitting a few times, blocking, then hitting again, or if your smarter you will end up running in circles spamming attacks because M1s do nothing, and god forbid you end up having 2 enemies attack you at once, you will be stunlocked crafting % chances make no sense, and is just there to make you grind for the same stuff over and over and over again feels like they spent all their budget on how things look and sound, and decided to throw it all away with a quick cash grab by having the bright idea to lock quality of life behind a paywall, and making the game very p2w. For the record, I buy a lot of gamepasses, I have money to spend on games I like for extra content or new things. Im not spending nothing on this game
Im not to far in but the tutorial fighting the boss has been the coolest part so far, im pretty sure im right before the first boss but i had to do some pretty boring quests before that. Fighting enemies is honestly fun with the parrying and skills and getting stronger is pretty fun but i wish they had more boss fights and open world stuff early instead of the main quest, im only ab 18 percent through the story but i think the game has a lot of potential, hopefully the later game content is accessible and fun
one thing i’d like to mention about the combat is m1s do have stun but it has to be before the npc initiates an m1 string/combo. after a parry or the end of the npcs combo, your m1s will stun and you can mix moves in to make combos. also animals that are passive unless attacked will receive m1 stun. i do agree tho they definitely need to change some stuff.
It was extremely fun and engaging the first time you play it, more so than other games. The combat was fun the first time, the quests didn't seem like a bandit beater since they didn't give you tasks to kill 40 difficult mobs, but after getting to a decent level, it all just gets tedious. Why didn't they do more with the quests where you travel with someone? It was pretty fun cuz you don't see alot of those high speed movement following an npc in roblox games, but why didn't they make an actual escort mission where if you leave the area, you lose, if the one you escort dies, you lose. They had it but they fumbled. Walking was fun the first 25 levels, I hoarded everything in my sight and it was really fun for me, but when the quests start giving you lots travel missions, it starts getting tedious too. I'm lucky I got a mount fast, but others, not so much. To make it worse, the quest for the mount makes you WALK AND WALK AND WALK. Zorin is far away from the mobs, and female grizzlies spawn so few and far apart, and they don't spawn on the same area as the werewolves, AND they don't aggro to you which just means more walking. Should've been male grizzlies instead. But a common complaint I see, that I never really experienced is progression. If you explored the map as you did the main story, it shouldn't of have been a problem. Atleast not for me it wasn't, I see people fighting Karnak at the 20s level when I was just at Zorin when I was level 25, and didn't get to the Karnak quest until level 36. Everything was buttery smooth to me, I progressed through the game without experiencing any issues, no roadblocks that would require me to power level just to complete one quest. Well until now that is, I need to get 200 gemstones to craft one item lol.
You should try some of Vanilla Deluxe's games (a roblox group) I can describe them as 'Somewhat like Randomly Generated Droids', as in simple for the most part, while theres clear differences in what makes a experienced player experienced or not. Minus Elevation is one of their games, and its a bit boring at 1st but if you look into the game a bit its pretty cool. Lots of rare events, enemies, and even if they werent there, theres alot of progression that you are constantly making. Your choices make each run go far different then the last as well.
This game is the definition of Pay for convenience . Other than that its alright, a pretty standard mmo rpg. However the devs do need more weapons and to be balanced for single player slightly better.
10:27 celestial staff is actually really good, you're recieving less healing because of stat allocation. I'm at like level 30 with 50 points into intelligence, and i heal 900 hp when using both moves out of my total hp pool of about 2.6k (with the tier 2 rare staff instead of the tier 1). along with that, celestial skill 2 aoe attack has a small side effect where you can proc invisibility on yourself via an upgrade, which gives you 5 seconds of non detection which is really good. even better is one of the skill 3 options which turns your enemy into a chicken, rendering them incapable of attacking or blocking at all for about 7 seconds (ranged enemies still run away from you as a chicken sadly) celestial staff is absolutely fire and will not tolerate this slander!!!!!! youre right about the grindiness though im slowly losing my mind so fair enough
imagine if the devs actually watch this video and take the video positively to improve everything he mentioned... then this game would actually be one of the best rpg games on roblox

Main problems with the game...
- should have given earlier access to mounts
-quality of life shouldnt cost you robux
-battlepass shoudnt have given you like actual weapons and mounts but rather be cosmetic
-Make quests more then kill 40 enemies, could have made the escort missons actually make you protect the escort from dying, etc
- allow you to dual wield same weapons so you can have acesss to all moves from 1 weapon
yeah you are right mostly. u think its just released so hopefully it gets better
Customization also shouldn’t cost Robux
And idk if it’s just me but I think equipment and weapons and stuff being numerical buffs is stupid and should be changed for more uniqueness with builds
enemy ai should be more varied eg bores having a charge attack as well as a basic mele or stronger enemies not getting stunned after 1 parry but you have to parry a chain of attacks instead
bosses should have both a mele and ranged move set (ive only fought the first one not sire if it changes) to make the fights more dynamic
staves and ranged weapons in general could do with some basic attack verity rather than the classic non homing magic missile in various colours, eg having a different m1 combo at close range or being able to charge basic attacks for burst damage
i feel that enemies should be a bit less tanky (maybe 10% less health to make things less tedious) and have some kind of anti-gank eg if more than 1 enemy is attacking you instead of attacking you simultaneously they should work in tandem to make it more challenging in a way that makes it intuitive eg the second enemy circling round to your side while the first one attacks then after stunning/parrying the first enemy the second one intervenes and the first one drops back before reapproaching.
i feel as if the sliding mechanic is underused and maybe could be used in tandem with attack chains to add verity to the combat, and maybe an ariel and critical attack could also be added
i appreciate how hard it is to create something of this magnitude and complexity (having had a fair amount of coding experience myself) and i am just giving my honest and humble opinion as i do relatively enjoy the game and only wish it success
@@RealGalxy Weapons are linear i totally agree, i feel like you should maybe get enchants instead like elemental effects ect
As a level 51, DoC uses the age old tactic of "create the problem to sell the solution."
Lol for sure. I mean you can tell they had this thought process with many things. "Hey the map is pretty big let's create a map but instead of making it useful let's lock the useful info behind a pay wall, or how about we make the characters as slow as a snail with barely any inventory slots so they're forced to walk up and down the map getting rid of things and make sure the fastest way of transport is locked at level 25 and they have to gamble for it"

- Build creation really sucks if you want to make a hybrid magic/physical build
- Farming potions really sucks.
Faction system ain’t phenomenal

@@zenith0079 Yeah I fully agree with you
It's great that it's a free game, it's great that it's a roblox game and it's great that so much effort went into it
But because it's as large of a game as it is - the design will be flawed, the content won't be enough, and the game will not be polished
It's got potential, but I'd be fine personally paying for this game, even if it's seasonal, rather than the monetization plan they went with
Cause like, yeah, it's free, but because it's free they're going with a predatory monetization plan like this - and maybe this is subjective, but I don't think it's ever genuinely healthy for the game or fun for the developers to work with
Then again, it does work on roblox, so while I personally hate it and think it's unhealthy, they'll probably earn enough to not even care about that
The worst part is that the game is basically a walking simulator after a certain point.
Ok so for the first point. giving mounts early game is never a good idea in a mmorpg because it would ruin the experience of trying to get a mount. a mount should be a achievement and a 9% isn't even that bad since the quest is genuinely so easy to do its 10 were wolfs and like 20 female bears that die in 5 hits.
your point about the walking to the werewolves camp is shit because the camp isnt even that far from the forest cross roads wrap. you literally take atleast 10 seconds to get there it just sounds like your complaining for the love of the game
i got level 40 and saw the missions i just meh dont do them i getting bored of the game ranked inst even here
what?@@Eynition

I'm lvl 55 and have grinded the game with 2x xp since release and I'd like to make some points:
1. The combat DOES suck. The moment you hit level 20, the game starts throwing enemies at you with horrible parry timings and several enemies at once that will essentially stun lock you. Where I'm at in the game I can only deal damage with abilities, as my m1s are essentially useless. (+10 legendary staffs with legendary/epic perks)
1. Give QoL gamepasses to all F2P players and change the gamepasses to something different for anyone whos purchased them (like higher enchant success rate / crafting, exc)
2. Balance economy by adding in something better than blessed scrolls (now that duping is fixed this should fix all of the horrid eco rn)
3. Increase mount drop chances from quests / world bosses
4. Make side quest XP scale with level (I should not be getting 3k from lvl 50+ side quests)
5. Inventory space should not scale exponentially with essence
@@ImperiumVFX I think it's really silly that there isn't character deletion.
At the end of the day, those low lvl mobs sitting at beginner area become useless and a waste of memory space (that cause lag) when everyone in the server is lvl 20+
Some of necessary stuff to have require people to spend real money for example the increase inventory space. New biome = new materials = need more space unless new weapon or armor will use the same material.
They need to stop with this awful kill this 20 and 30 of that quests when the npc are all over the place. Waste of time.
If yall americans get up to 200 ping imagine here in Brazil 😢 (probaly 500 minimun to me)
It's kinda sad how far this game has fallen when it just came out, it can barely crack 10k players now.
Yeah wrap it up already, Devas of Mid lol.
the quest is 9% and it takes at max 15 minutes to do it. and that horse is god awful and slow. its a common your acting as if it's a legendary or epic
@@Eynitionthis makes no sense, having to run 15 minutes each time to have a chance of having a mount then wasting 4 more hours leveling is just bad game design. The developers know what they are doing trying to milk playtime.
@@Eynition Having no luck chance for it is better, 15 minutes is alright but 9% chance??? 9%???
@@Eynition and if you fail the luck chance which you most likely will as its 9%, You'll spend another 15 minutes doing it again, Which makes it 30 aka half a hour, And if you manage to loose again then your gonna have to do it again making the time increase from 30 to 45 minutes, and if you loose again (Just repeat the loosing and grinding and time increasing because it just wastes your time at that point)

Big DISSAPOINTMENT... the Battlepass and Gamepasses are way too expensive, the mounts too hard to obtain
Healing potions so hard to craft and all u can ever get or craft are the regular basic healing potions for 320 each
Enemies so hard to kill and gives too little crafting materials and you can only farm better with specific builds making every other build useless including the crit build
with the critical hit not applying to all skills and abilities and the variety of weapons is JUST LIKE ALBION
so hard to get resources so much EFFORT so LITTLE REWARD just to keep you on the game and get you to buy their stupid gamepasses to "grind faster"

Crits working with skills would be op, crits builds are great with dagger and bow, with greatsword yea it kinda useless. Ik this cuz originally i went dexterity and strength build, but since i rely on the greatsword more than the bow i swapped to full strength and leftover in dex build
Potions? 320 is dirt ever since you become high enough lvl to enter catacombs, before it you shouldn't really have major struggles so skill issue ig
One of the cheaper gamepasses out of any Roblox rpg i play, tho i give you this, besides picking up every item with a single keystroke the other passes are lacking(this pass may not seem like a huge deal either but it def is ince you start farming groups of mobs in catacombs and pyramid cuz some of em drop up to 6-7 items and you are luring together 3-7 mobs at once so picking everything in 1 press saves you a lot of time).

This especially becomes a problem later when you need lots of EXP and/or drops for crafting and stuff when you hoard enemies and kill them all together to make the grind faster and end up having to pick up every single item manually which gets really annoying and slow :/

the story is literally just the same 4 quests recycled over and over and over but in different locations: find somebody, fetch, escort or kill a set amount of bandits.
the combat is extremely watered down to the point of being one less feature away from just being world//zero 2.0
and the game is a microtransaction hellhole, they make everything a pain in the nuts to get so you are more inclined to spend money to make it less of a pain.
I noticed that it uses nearly the same pattern as Genshin (Im no Genshin player but I heard of its horrible storytelling)

not to mention all the shit they ripped out of New World
To be honest, you are right that the balancing is not very good, but not about the healing staff. Further down the line it gets really powerful, at least in my opinion. In my eyes it heals a lot of hp. I had a friend who was using it and I always was able to survive for way longer than I should have if he wasnt here. But the bad balance part comes with weapons like the dagger. Right now it is very weak, compared to stuff like the ice and fire staff. the comment section after Eclipse makes one mistake: 😱😱😱😱😱
once you get into the midgame, there's a quest giver that makes you GRIND, like one of the quest where you want to get a mount, where first you gotta follow the quest giver around, sound easy right? then, you have to kill 24 different monsters and then return to the quest giver, and lastly you have to get 2 small health potions and an enigmatic sigil to him. where you find those 2? you buy them from the potion shopkeeper. and where is she? she's at the main town which is OVER 3000 METERS AWAY!
(Level 36 mage, going on 40)
4. Enemies do way to much damage in some areas and every enemy in this game is faster than you. which often leads to death if u get jumped
Rather than editing the audio to make it seamless it's easier to just fade it in and out.

bandit beat final boss
The reason the support weapon is “bad” is because it was op before and was nerfed, tho most people still consider it pretty good (in the late game)
Great video btw :p
The combat and overall mechanics seem interesting and are pretty fun, but the game quickly shows its flaws with repetitive enemies a grueling level grind and annoying travel (you have to walk everywhere without a mount and a dash that goes on cooldown not fun), the fact that the only boss you fight in the first 2ish hours (of what ive played) is literally the tutorial boss is pretty lame. Not even mentioning the scummy monetization (which is pretty much standard practice on roblox now) the game is interesting and clearly had alot of effort put into it, however the flaws outweigh the pros imo
The combat caters to PVP fought someone PKing random people and I gotta say its pretty good
As someone who played the game for around 3-4 days with friends and without ,I can say that it does suck a lot more if you don't have people playing with you, but the game doesn't really give much reasons as to why you should play with friends other than help with bosses, which even then it's better if you learn to beat it solo because they decided to make the drops of mobs only be given to the person that grabs them first (this is probably to give people more reasons to buy the "grab all" gamepass, but even then that doesn't help out much), being in a party is ultimately useless too as even if you are in a party you don't share the items grabbed, instead you have like a 50/50 chance of the items grabbed to go to one of the people in the party this also comes with getting decreased exp from mobs as it gets shared around the party (this only applies if you are in a certain radius of the people of your party).
Your internet was saving you trust me.
3:59 the swings were perfectly timed with the background music
Later on the games becomes more of a walking simulator where u have to get a mount to progress. There is a way to get a mount for free, around every hour cuz u do a questline, then u need to get lucky to get a mount or u have to do it all again. After that u have to raise the mount for hours just to use it after lvl 22 it made me quit the game.
Spent 3 hours grind lvls for that shit. I couldn't even feel satisfaction for the mount.
I hope the devs of the game watch this or at least hear about these topics and listen to it, because I love the game, but it just makes me disappointed in some places
Does is SUCK?
The main problem with the combat is having to parry every enemy separately if there's more than one on you. You just keep getting put through a loop where the only way you'll kill them is to constantly run away.

the professions sucked in WoW too, if anything it's sad devas didn't iterate on that by adding a minigame you could do when collecting items (though being able to only pick some professions further incentivized clan play so the game did make you feel like you mattered to the clan lol)
it's not the fact you just fight mobs, it's that devas doesn't play around with the idea enough for it to be fun - games that do that avoid being called bandit beaters, cause they're not just bandit beaters, it's only a part of them
@@ale-hl8pg I mean constantly 24thousand people playing deva clan grouped up turning in quests that dont require you to beat enemys lol
It’s pretty nice in the early stages, once you hit level 20-24 it gets hella grindy which is my biggest critique.
being honest it feels AI generated sometimes
This exactly
i swear some of the images used as assets are ai generated, but i cant 100% tell because when i played the game was so laggy for me i never got a good look
@@fishythingy the icons for devas factions are ai generated for sure
@@fishythingy Likely is
Roblox has magnitudes of generative AI now just by itself
idk why but most of the time i look at this game's art style and enemies i just think of those shitty raid shadow legends sponsor videos, it just looks so oversaturated and way too cliche even IF it's not the type of stuff you would find on roblox.

Hey Eclipse! I agree with almost everything you said, but I would like to clear up some confusion. On the resetting your stats concern, it never costs Robux. It charges you with faction coins, which you can get through the free battlepass and just by killing enemies.
“Does is suck” 🤫
> games are loud
> dev play games with 1 volume
> dev make games on 1 volume

I haven’t fought any npc that attacked right after a parry
is this a real comment? npcs dont attack after a parry those are the bosses because the bosses need multiple parries to finally get stun locked. like any other boss in any other game
No npcs attack right after a parry, besides the heavy attack which u just need to dash back for
They dont attack right after parying but like 1.5 secs after, which is too short imo must be 2-2 5
@@sentient-boat1 Any NPC with a charge attack will without fail use that charge attack after a parry(but only if you hit them?), and the only way to interrupt it is to do a combo finisher with a melee weapon, or use a stunning ability
11:10 Celestial staff can heal more than thousands if you invest some points it's just on early stages of game
“Does is suck”? Dont mean to be rude or anything just find it funny
The m1s do have stun, it's just that their moves have super armor, so they don't get stunned when hit, but if they're idle they'll get stunned
Does is suck?
We will find out
as a former top 9 in the pve category, I strongly agree that the game is a HUGE bandit beater and has an insane amounts of holes in the story and not only that but the missions are kinda boring and repeat themselves a lot.
The game got amazing models and good graphics tho, too bad games are not just that.
dude i had the same internet problem with the game when i tried it
Talking about music, yeah you are right, music is maybe one of the most important pillar for a game, for an exemple, you can say anything you like or hate about voxlblade, but you cant say that the music isnt extremelly good, most part of the game, expecially a rpg, you gonna be hearing some music, and its gonna affect how you feel about the game, if are figthing a hard boss, you expect a well made epic music, not just a random music stealed from a random Copyright free website
Sorry for any language errors, my english is not that good
“Does is”
i suggest you review Vesteria as DOC has a lot of inspired concepts from vesteria(they proceeded to turn most of them into gamepasses/purchases to speed up your progression)
altho vesteria has no tutorial just know you have to get lv 10 and get a class because vesteria REQUIRES exploration to continue progression, the rest is just getting to lv 55(max) and figuring out what your build is
me personally the rating i have is 8/10 though my opinion may be biased due to me being in this game for 4 years + the fact i'm a tester
also the game doesn't look like an anime 😭
I havent watched this but this is amazing
the one below all and his overwhelming bottomness
as somebody with almost 100 hours in devas already,
everything you said is true 1000%
the classes aren't really balanced like bow is the best strength scaling weapon by FAR and has a move that goes through block.
also if you click on the weapons in the skills tab it says what the weapon scales off of, either strength or intelligence, you can't really make hybrid builds either you kinda need to all in a class or else you'll be spread too thin.
the combat is easily learned so its simple for people who aren't good with complex combat systems so it appeals to a wider audience thats probably why it has that 'turn based' feel to it
the grind is painfully long especially to craft items epic and above and the mobs scale so much higher than the player more into the late game that it takes even LONGER to level up
the battle pass isn't really an issue as everything in it you can get if you work for it and by the time you reach level 100 you should have all the gear that it gives you anyways
the only thing you would need to spend money on is traits and a mount because the chances of getting one is pretty low from the quests and the quests take a long time
something I really like that you never mentioned is the achievements system especially the one to pet a bunch of cats in the main town its very cute
you ARE able to reset stats for free with something called clan tokens you get them from mobs lvl 15+ if I recall and the resets are cheap so no money needs to be spent on that
I wish there was more customization options when it comes to races skin tones and the hairstyles are pretty limited
the map may seem useless at first but it really does tell you everything you need to know to navigate and as you progress the story you will visit every part of the map and its easy to memorize with the way points
I wish the atmosphere of the game was more moody during boss interactions and the music reflected the daunting power of these enemies (especially the catacombs boss)
overall the game is great but obviously still needs to get worked on a LOT
I like this game, but the amount of weird microtransactions is annoying, i had nelde faction equipped which was winning, and in the menu you gotta select a faction to leave it, since they added a freaking microtransaction of 120 robux to change your faction to the winning one, and since the faction menu can only be closed by selecting a faction, and my faction was winning, i was forced to choose a losing faction to leave the menu, or i'd have to pay 120 robux. That is outrageous, not only for a price for that but for not adding a close button to the faction menu
TLDR: if i chose the faction that i was already in to close the menu i'd have to pay 120 bobux, i was forced to choose another faction just to exit a menu
You could have just left the game and you wouldve stayed in the faction
But yeah the changing faction for robux is super predatory
Same exact thing happened to me, had to switch off Nelde to close that menu and couldn't rejoin without paying robux because it's winning. I'm hoping to rejoin it whenever it's not winning, but I agree that they should add a close button or do away with the paywall
@@brianwang6749 thought of that later, i'm getting super annoyed with these microtransactions
Additional problems I eccounter:
-DEX stats is HORRIBLE. Crit is its main machanics BUT the way crit dmg is calculated is not the same as other game. Case in point:
Base dmg is 100 and crit dmg is 200%. In other games it will be something like this- base dmg + [base dmg x (crit dmg)]
So: 100+[100x(2.0)]= 300dmg
This game its just- base dmg x (crit dmg) so: 100(2.0)=200dmg.
PLUS skill cant crit. I had to change my stats from crit to all on STR. You lose so much dmg both from skill and basic attacks. If skill cant crit its fine but the whole machanics of crit build is to sacrifice dmg stats in order to gamble for a crit. If you crit you will be rewarded but in this game crit build is not as rewarding compared full STR build
-Next. Why does naming your pet cost 300 robux? That is more than most people avatars value
-Factions dont work properly. Factions has passive that will activate once the faction of your choice has won HOWEVER there is a few problem.
- You need to wait until the faction won before the buff is activated. If you leave the buff is gone and you need to wait until the faction to win again
- The buff dont even work.
Not to mention IF you dont craft armor and weapons, you would lose on valauable additional traits(buffs) which is ONLY obtainable via crafting
Apart from these problems (and other future problems I may eccounter) the game is by far the best original RPG in roblox.
Like it just stuns me so I can't hit or do anything.
tl;dr: combat is ass can't do anything cus im just stunned and there is a huge delay to block and when im getting hit i cant block or dodge and when i manage to block enemy just breaks that and continues to combo me
The delay is the parry, get your timings right and youll do good, youve made a mistake on the timing and also after you miss your block the 3-4 attacks mobs do you can still parry them
@@Andre-vt4np i don't think it's that cus i hit the enemy once then try to block just for it to not block cus it's super delayed then i just get hit repeatedly and can't do anything cus i'm stunned
almost sounds like an internet issue. or maybe a device issue. id have to check if the weapon speeds affect parry time
Yeah its pretty bad and good luck fighting more than one fucking enemy, this game just fucking sucks
@@WitheringZealot facts, i stopped playing it and didn't even progress that much in the story. game is trash
Does is suck indeed
Everything you mentioned is spot on from good to bad, however sorry to disappoint you but it gets worse. Late game drops from bosses and normal npcs range from 0.5-0.1% which is insane, not only that but cooking is obsolete compared to crafting there is no reward basically to go anything but crafting, crafted gear get extra stats and its easier to get materials for that while fishing for cooking is tedious leveling up cooking mastery does nothing not even give extra stats to food you craft.
does is suck 😭
Well also the term "Bandit Beater" would be more applied to blox fruits, king legacy, and AOP.. Its kind of strange that they are all one piece.
Does is Suck
I absolutely hate the crafting chances that it can fail, I spent so much time farming and it just says "CRAFTING FAILED" LIKE BRUH I WASTED SO MUCH TIME
Does IS suck

TYPO! MUAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAA
they locked half the quality of life features behind a paywall....
-you gotta pay to see most the map markers,
-pay to have the "collect call" button for containers appear,
-you gotta pay to see where the PVP areas are,
-you gotta pay to have more than a couple quests active at once,
-you gotta pay to see where chests are,
-you gotta pay to see if players are killing other players,
-you gotta pay to change the name of your pets and mounts
and thats just the quality of life stuff you have to pay for.... not to mention the sheer amount of p2w your BOMBARDED with from the moment your in the game
as most p2w, cashgrab games, you are FORCED to PVP, there is no option, a lot of the grind is in openworld PVP zones, so you will, as always, spend most your time fighting players that have paid unfathomable amounts of money and spent all their time since the second of launch grinding out on the game with every advantage, and are now so bored that theyre spending all their time roaming the map for low levels to kill on sight,
not to mention, dying makes you loose stuff, so be prepared to spend most your time loosing everything to no life p2w players
enemies have FAR TOO MUCH health which makes combat last 10x longer than it really has to be, and you spend 99% of the time sat there hitting a few times, blocking, then hitting again, or if your smarter you will end up running in circles spamming attacks because M1s do nothing, and god forbid you end up having 2 enemies attack you at once, you will be stunlocked
crafting % chances make no sense, and is just there to make you grind for the same stuff over and over and over again
feels like they spent all their budget on how things look and sound, and decided to throw it all away with a quick cash grab by having the bright idea to lock quality of life behind a paywall, and making the game very p2w.

Fighting enemies is honestly fun with the parrying and skills and getting stronger is pretty fun but i wish they had more boss fights and open world stuff early instead of the main quest, im only ab 18 percent through the story but i think the game has a lot of potential, hopefully the later game content is accessible and fun
does is suck
one thing i’d like to mention about the combat is m1s do have stun but it has to be before the npc initiates an m1 string/combo. after a parry or the end of the npcs combo, your m1s will stun and you can mix moves in to make combos. also animals that are passive unless attacked will receive m1 stun. i do agree tho they definitely need to change some stuff.
You should try some of Vanilla Deluxe's games (a roblox group)
I can describe them as 'Somewhat like Randomly Generated Droids', as in simple for the most part, while theres clear differences in what makes a experienced player experienced or not.
I'm at like level 30 with 50 points into intelligence, and i heal 900 hp when using both moves out of my total hp pool of about 2.6k (with the tier 2 rare staff instead of the tier 1). along with that, celestial skill 2 aoe attack has a small side effect where you can proc invisibility on yourself via an upgrade, which gives you 5 seconds of non detection which is really good. even better is one of the skill 3 options which turns your enemy into a chicken, rendering them incapable of attacking or blocking at all for about 7 seconds (ranged enemies still run away from you as a chicken sadly)
celestial staff is absolutely fire and will not tolerate this slander!!!!!!
youre right about the grindiness though im slowly losing my mind so fair enough
imagine if the devs actually watch this video and take the video positively to improve everything he mentioned... then this game would actually be one of the best rpg games on roblox
Oh! but it looks like they don't do that. Oops
